No sooner was Betsy with both feet in the small apartment than she was greeted with a friendly, "Did you take my cigarettes?" Betsy turned towards the source of the voice, still feeling irritated from work and now frustrated by the situation. "No! You didn't tell me to bring you any," the brown-haired woman replied. "That's such bullshit. I told you that right before you left the apartment this morning."

"I must have had my headphones on by then." Betsy entered the room and found Ursula struggling to complete a form with her pen. More badly than well. The brown-haired woman leaned against the doorframe, watching the living doll convulsively trying to write in amusement. "Stop grinning so stupidly," Ursula said snottily. "Why don't you use that fountain pen I bought yesterday?"

"That so-called fountain pen is for children, and I haven't been a child for 200 years. I'm used to writing with a quill." "But now you're smaller than a child," Betsy laughed, lifting the doll with one hand. "Have you ever tried it? She's the perfect shape for you. Your hand will glide like a feather when you write with it. Besides, it wasn't cheap." Ursula reluctantly allowed the fountain pen to press into her delicate, doll-like hand.

Getting along with others was a challenge for Betsy, especially with a 200-year-old nun whose soul was trapped in a doll. Betsy had cut the cloth hands a few months ago, so Ursula had fingers. "And is it better?" Betsy asked. She received a grumbling "Yes" in response. Ursula was now able to fill out the form without any issues. Betsy was perplexed when she asked, "What kind of form is this anyway?" Ursula replied, "It's the leave request form. I want to take a day off." Betsy was astounded, "You have to fill out a form for that? What kind of complex bureaucracy is this?" Ursula responded, "My dear, I work in a difficult place, and nothing is worse than complicated bureaucracy." She continued to write on the form.

Betsy looked around her twin brother Tobias's room, but he had already been in the world for three years. Betsy always felt nervous thinking about it. The fear that something terrible may happen to Tobias caused her to sweat excessively, and she developed a pounding headache when she held onto such hypothetical thoughts. When she found Ursula, she had let her have the room. She didn't know when he would return. Frequently, he would compose letters to her, filled with vibrant depictions of individuals, the environment, and various other topics. Sometimes, Tobias would share his little adventures that occurred. He was always filled with enthusiasm for the world.

Despite his difficult upbringing, he maintained a positive outlook. On the other hand, Betsy had a tough time and only trusted Tobias and Ursula. Although she didn't harbour hatred towards all of humanity, she didn't particularly care for most cruel people. Betsy was a helpful person who would sometimes prioritise the needs of others over her own, but unfortunately, many people would take advantage of her kindness.

She feared getting close to people due to the risk of being betrayed again. This risk was too significant for her to take. However, she found solace in Ursula, who had experienced similar struggles and could empathise with her.

"I'm sure he's fine." Ursula's words brought the glasses-wearing woman back to the present. "You think so?" „Sure, don't worry about it. I have an idea to help take your mind off things." The doll jumped off the desk and opened the bottom drawer.

Betsy watched the movements of the living doll with scepticism. Ursula retrieved her wallet and gathered the spare coins. She asked Betsy, "Why don't you stroll to clear your thoughts? And while you're at it, could you grab my cigarettes?" As Ursula spoke, her voice lowered, and she extended the change to Betsy.

"It seems like you can be quite cunning when you choose to be. Unfortunately, I won't be able to go out again today as there are many potential risks outside, like angels and demons. I've had an awful day and want to have a meal, take a shower, and go to bed." "You can't do this to me. I need my cigarettes. I even have the money here." Ursula climbed up Betsy's clothes, and she held onto the collar. "Bad luck. Those must be devil's coins. They're banned in our world, and you know that." "I don't control how I get paid for my excellent work. Can I repay you?" Betsy sat Ursula down and said, "That is one of many issues. You can't repay me. I can't pay nothing with devil coins because no one accepts them besides hell."

Betsy's refusal took aback Ursula, as it was unexpected.

Betsy walked out of the room towards the kitchen, promising to get it for Ursula tomorrow. The doll shouted and shuffled after the brown-haired girl, saying, "Wait, the conversation is not over yet!"
