One day at noon, a rag-picker woman, the rag-picker goods to the scrap yard to sell, riding a tricycle back, through a deserted alley, from the corner of the alley, fierce out a gangster too. The thug was holding a knife in his hand, and he put it against the woman's chest and fiercely ordered her to hand over all the money she had. The woman was stunned and stood there motionless. The gangster then began to search the body, he searched a plastic bag from the woman's coat pocket, a plastic bag wrapped in a pile of bills.

The thug took the pile of bills and turned around and left. At this point, the woman reacted and immediately jumped forward, grabbing the plastic bag with his hands. The robber used a knife against the woman as if to stab her, threatening her to let go. The woman clutched the bag of money with both hands and did not let go. Women's side to protect the bag, the side desperately call for help, the cry for help alarmed the residents of the alley, people came to hear the sound, the joint effort to catch the criminals. The crowd escorted the gangster holding the woman into the nearby police station, a police officer received them. During the interrogation, the robber confessed to the robbery. And the woman stood there straight shivering, cold sweat on her face. The police then reassured her: "You do not have to be afraid." The woman replied, "I'm in pain, my fingers were broken by him." Said lifting his right hand, people realized that her right index finger was limp and drooping. Rather fingers were broken and not let go of the money bag, the number and weight of the money bag. The police then opened the plastic bag that wrapped the banknotes, at once, the people present were stunned, the bag in total only eight dollars and fifty cents, all ten cents and twenty cents of change.

For eight dollars and fifty cents, a broken finger, a criminal, it's not worth it. At one point, the small town was in an uproar.

The police are confused: what power is supporting the woman so that she can break her fingers in pain and still do not give up this area of eight dollars and fifty cents? He decided to find out. So, after taking the woman to the hospital for treatment, he trailed behind the woman to find the answer to the question. But surprisingly, shortly after the woman walked out of the hospital, she picked up fruit at a fruit stand and picked it up so carefully. She used eight dollars and fifty cents to buy a pear, an apple, an orange, a banana, a section of sugar cane, and a strawberry, where the fruit stall on the fruit, she picked one of each, until the eight dollars and fifty cents to spend every penny.

The police opened their mouths in surprise. Did not sacrifice a finger to keep the eight dollars and fifty cents, is to buy a little fruit to try? The woman carried a bag of fruit, straight out of town, to the outskirts of the cemetery. The police found that the women walked to a secluded place, where there is a new tomb. The woman stood in front of the new tomb for a long time and seemed to have a relieved smile on her face. Then she leaned her bag against the tombstone and murmured: "Son, I'm sorry for you. Mom was incapable of curing your illness and let you die early when you were just 13 years old. Do you remember? When you were dying, Mom asked you what your greatest wish was, and you said, 'I've never eaten a good fruit before. I am so ashamed of you that I can't even fulfill your last wish. To cure you, we don't even have money to buy fruit at home. But, son, yesterday, mom finally paid off all the debts she had borrowed for your treatment. Mom earned eight dollars and fifty cents today, child, mom can buy fruit, look, there are oranges, pears, apples, and bananas ...... are good. All of them are intact fruits that mom spent money to buy for you, not rotten at all, mom carefully picked one by one, you eat it, child, you taste it ......"
