Pinnacle of Love: Love Above Societal Norms

Chapter 1

Gabriel, a 22-year-old boy, lives in Los Angeles, California. He just completed his graduation and is all set to travel to New York for his further studies. He also wants to establish his family business in New York. So, he traveled there to stay at his aunt’s home. His aunt is Isabella who is a doctor and unmarried. She has adored her nephew a lot since he was a kid.

One day, Isabella hosted an event for her birthday. She invited her friends to her house. A few of Gabriel’s friends are also present at the place. All of a sudden, Gabriel’s eye went towards a beautiful lady, Lana. She is a close friend of Isabella. She is also a single woman and an architect with a charming aura. She adds a sparkle to the night with her fascinating smile.

Although Lana is almost 10 years older than him, Gabriel starts to generate a crush on her. Later, Isabella introduces Gabriel to Lana. He didn’t tell his aunt that his heart melted after greeting Lana.

Chapter 2

As the time passed, Gabriel found himself in the thoughts of Lana. He reminisced about the evening and Lana’s laugh almost every day. He continues his work and study but he fails to concentrate 100%. Gabriel tells himself that she is older than her but still, there's something special about her. It might be her smile, her appearance, or Lana herself. Her aunt notices his strange childish behavior and asks him if everything is fine or not. He replied, “Yeah, everything 's fine”.

One evening, Gabriel went to a coffee shop to meet his friend Avantika. She works as a relationship counselor. He told her everything about his meeting with Lana. In addition, she is her aunt’s friend who is also single but 10 years older than him. In reply, Avantika says, "Love is not about age anymore. Forget the societal norms. You’re not marrying society.”

Gabriel: You know what, I can’t stop thinking about her. There’s something special about her that I can’t describe.

Avantika: As a relationship counselor I can say that Love hasn't any rules or age gap. If you feel any connection, you should go for it.

Gabriel sighs and nods his head.

Chapter 3

Avantika’s words encouraged Gabriel. So, he took the first step. He went straight towards Lana’s office the next evening. He asked her to design a perfect interior for his office. The conversation continued and both shared warm conversations, laughter, and smiles together. They also talked about their life for a bit. After that, Gabriel asks her for a coffee. Lana agreed.

They kept meeting frequently.

One day, music was playing outside the bar. Lana tells Gabriel, “There’s something special about being with you.”. Gabriel replied, “Yeah, same here”.

Gabriel: I know you’re my aunt’s friend and there's also an age difference between us.

Lana: Age doesn't matter when it comes to the matter of hearts. Sometimes we find the connection we seek when we least expect it.

Later, Gabriel asks Lana to dance with him. She agrees.

Chapter 4

The friendship between Gabriel and Lana started transforming into something more. Several people observed them together, and a few people realized that the woman was older than the man. However, they didn’t embrace societal norms.

Later, Gabriel and Lana started visiting places while holding each other's hands. They often visit churches, movies, beaches, and several places together.

One day in the park, Gabriel holds Lana’s arm and expresses his love for her. He tells her, “I Love You, Lana. Maybe it’s the age that differs us but the connection I have with you, I haven't felt with anyone before.”

Gabriel’s words impressed Lana. She replies, “I Love You too, Gabriel. I don’t care about the world if I fall in love with someone.”

After that, they gently kissed each other.

Chapter 5

Isabella was passing from there and observed her close friend was dating her nephew.

Gabriel returns home and his aunt tells him that she has observed him with Lana. He was tense and didn't know how to tell his aunt the truth. However, the tension faded.

Isabella comforts her nephew about his relationship with Lana. She says, “When the two adults decide to become a couple, it’s completely their choice”. Isabella also told Gabriel that love is not about age but about cherishing the connection.

Chapter 6

It wasn’t an easy task for Gabriel and Lana to seek their parent’s approval. It was full of comedy and funny moments. However, somehow they became successful. Thanks to the continuous support from Isabella.

One day, Gabriel and Lana got married on a summer day. Their friends, relatives, and colleagues were present at the venue. As their close friends cheered them up, the couple vowed to stay together. Then, they gave each other a commitment kiss.

Therefore, they live ever after happily.
