Mother's story

A mother's child was sick, and she was very worried. Day and night, she stayed by her child's side. Finally one night, the god of death came to her house and took her child away while she was sleeping.

The mother woke up and found that the child was gone, and hurriedly got up and went out to look for it. Suddenly she woke up, shivering. A woman in a black robe was sitting on the snow outside. She was the god of night. She told the woman that it was death who took her child, and if she wanted to know which direction they went, she had to sing the song she had sung for her child a thousand times. The mother had to sing and cry, and the god of night was moved and told her that the god of death had gone in the direction of the black fir forest.

In the depths of the woods, several roads crossed each other, and the woman did not know which way to choose. There was a bush on the side of the road, which was almost frozen. It told the woman that if she could hold herself in her arms to warm up, she would tell her where death was leaving. The woman picked up the bush and pressed it tightly to her chest. The bush pierced her muscles, and her blood flowed drop by drop. The bush grew fresh green leaves in her arms, fired beautiful flowers, and it told the woman which direction to go.

After a while, a large lake blocked the woman's way. The lake said to the woman that if she could cry out her eyes for herself, she could help her get to the other side. "Ah, I can sacrifice everything for my child!" The mother cried. So she cried even harder, and her eyes fell into the lake and became two of the most precious pearls. The lake lifted her up and floated to the other side.

There is a very strange house on the other side. It is Death's greenhouse. The greenhouse is full of various flowers and trees. An old woman guards the greenhouse for Death. The old woman said that women can enter the greenhouse to find the flower of life of their children, but only if the woman's beautiful long black hair must be exchanged with the old woman's white hair. The woman agreed, and they changed their hair.

After that, they went into the greenhouse of the god of death. Here are flowers and trees of strange shapes, each tree and each flower has a name, they represent a person's life; these people are all alive and scattered all over the world, and the sad mother bent down in front of the smallest plants, and heard the heartbeat of her child among the countless flowers, it was a blue early spring flower. The old woman told her that when the god of death came, to stop him from pulling the flower, you could threaten him to pull all the plants, that would make him afraid.

At this time, death came. "How did you find this place?" he said. "Why did you come before me?"

"Because I'm a mother!" she said.

Death reached out to the weak little flower, and the mother held it tightly in her hands. "Please give me back my child!" The mother begged bitterly. Suddenly she grabbed the two beautiful flowers next to her and said loudly to Death: "I will pluck all your flowers, and now I am cornered."

"Don't touch them!" said Death. "You said you were in pain; but now you are going to make another mother feel the same pain as you!"

"Another mother?" The kind mother hesitated. She immediately let go of the two flowers.

"These are your eyeballs," said Death. "I have fished them out of the lake; I did not know they were yours. Now they are brighter than before, take them back. Please look down at the bottom of the well next to you. If I tell you the names of the two flowers you wanted to pluck just now, then you will know their whole future, their whole human life; then you will know what you are trying to destroy."

She looked down the well. Suddenly she felt great joy, because what a happy life she saw, surrounded by a scene of joy, joy, and peace. She looked at the other life: it was so sad, it was the embodiment of poverty, misery, and sorrow.

"These two fates are entirely the will of God! I am his gardener, and I will plant all his flowers and trees to the kingdom of heaven, to the paradise in that mysterious land." Death said.

"Which of them is the flower of misery and which is the flower of happiness?" she asked.

"I can't tell you," Death replied. "But you can know one thing: your own child is among these two flowers. What you have just seen is the fate of your child - the future of your own child."

Mother cried out in horror.

"Which of them is my child? Please tell me! Please save my child! Please save my child from suffering! Take him away! Take him to the kingdom of God! Please forget my tears, my pleas, and forgive me for everything I have just said and done!"

"I don't understand what you mean!" said Death. "Do you want to take your child away, or let me take him to a place you don't know?"

At this moment, the mother twisted her hands in pain and knelt down on her knees to our God and prayed: "Your will is always good. Please ignore my prayers against your will! Please ignore me! Please ignore me!"

So she lowered her head.

So Death took her child and flew to the unknown kingdom.
