Misty's Nanny

A story

Misty’s new Nanny, Felicia, arrived today. She had just been introduced to her and told what was expected of her while she was here. Misty had just stood there lovely and prim, smiling and nodding her head where appropriate. Then, as if she wasn’t even in the room with them, the Nanny had turned to her parents and said that she thought the post would do nicely. Misty was then excused to return to the nursery and continue doing what she was so rudely interrupted when the Nanny arrived.

Misty gladly went back upstairs. She didn’t want to stay around the adults longer than she had to. They never listened to her anyway. They couldn’t understand that she was too old at thirteen to have a Nanny anymore.

The last three Nannies she had had, she had chased off with her pranks and hateful words. This new Nanny was going to take more than some pranks and words. She could just tell.

Misty went over to the tea area and put together a special tea to give the new Nanny, to break her in right and show her who indeed was boss. This tea would have to be so spectacular that Felicia would have no doubt who had done it and why. She decided that a chamomile blend of ginger and senna would do just the trick.

At the last minute, Misty decided to add a few tea biscuits specially coated with powdered sugar and arsenic. Not much arsenic, just enough to start the new Nanny’s torture.

She then waited for the Nanny to arrive in the nursery.

😊👍Hahahaha, oh boy - this twist in the tale is becoming a common thread and somehow you STILL threw me off today. You really have this writing down pat. Thought she was going to get a nice drink for her new nanny! Have you seen that old movie Arsenic and old lace..? I haven’t seen it for years but it use to make me laugh at its absurdity! 😁

Nasty little girl. She needs to be put over someone's knee. (Edit note if you don't mind. You've started too many sentences with Misty. From my pov, it detracts from the story. Hope I haven't offended you.)
