Lifelong Love

Just In Time

By DeeAnn Coffin PhillipsPublished 3 years ago 6 min read

Diandra was a beautiful, tall blonde who had spent her whole life living in Crete, she was now 16 and she is becoming more of an independent young woman looking for adventures

her Mother was Italian, and her Father was Greek.

Diandra was noticed by allot of people no matter where she went because it was rare to see an Italian/Greek woman with dark skin, blue eyes, blonde hair and legs that went on for miles. There were allot of young men that caught Diandra’s eye but for her there was only Julian.

Julian has these huge brown eyes that make you melt, wavy brown hair, a firm body with muscles that call you in for a hug, hands that are warm and perfectly sized for holding, and as he approaches you can smell the clean, crisp scent of citrus.

Diandra loved to go to the dance club with friends and when she walked in her eyes locked with Julian’s eyes and they would dance the night away, after a night out with friends they would go to a little café for food and drinks.

Diandra and Julian were always next to each other super close and holding hands but if you asked them if they were dating, they would say, no just friends.

There was a sparkle in their eyes when they were together, they would smile from ear to ear and everyone in the room knew they loved each other.

It was a rare love that you do not see every day. Julian was very protective over Diandra he loved to drive her places, make sure she was ok and Diandra loved it, she loved the attention he gave her, and she felt in her heart she was his world.

Diandra knew that Julian was seeing other people and would stay at other women’s homes but since she felt wild and free in her heart and was still young, she was ok to love him freely with no restraints or anything holding them back.

Diandra worked several jobs because she hadn’t decided if she wanted to go to University or not and Julian was ten years older than her, he graduated from college and had a good job.

Diandra was working at a retail shop late for several weeks because they were remodeling and she was there to keep her eyes on merchandise and to make sure the workers completed their tasks, Julian lived a few hours away and he drove to surprise her at work, when Diandra stepped outside under the star filled sky and their eyes connected to each other they kissed with passion and their hearts were racing.

It was these simple moments that stole Diandra’s heart and soul. Julian was taking a trip with his guy friends to another city in Greece and he wanted to spend the night in town where Diandra lived to be with her before he left so she agreed, after work she drove over to where he was and jumped into shower to enjoy her evening with Julian.

Julian was happy to be alone with Diandra, he had thought about this night many times that week.

Diandra came out of shower with her golden hair wrapped into a towel and that was exactly how Julian liked to see her.

Diandra went over to sit next to Julian and they were both smiling, and Julian looked at her and asked how she was doing, and she just explained a little tired from work, but she was happy to be there with him and to see his smile.

Julian pulled Diandra close and started kissing her and they started making love, this went on for hours and hours they couldn’t take their hands off each other they did not feel they needed food, they didn’t need anything outside of each other and that room.

They kissed goodbye as they both ventured on to the day’s activities, Julian had to get to the airport and Diandra wanted to get home and get some sleep.

Diandra always found it so difficult to get Julian out of her mind, she carried him in her heart every day and she second guessed herself, she wasn’t quite sure why she continued to see Julian even when she felt he would never settle down, there were times she felt she was obsessing over him because she had never felt this infatuation with anyone else but him.

She worked hard to self-empower herself, reading self-help books, going to counseling anything she could do to lead a normal and happy life she tried but at the end of the day she felt nothing made a difference she just wanted a life with Julian, to love him and spend their life together sharing the moments of life she enjoyed like listening to classical music being performed, listening to jazz performances, going dancing, holding each other in the moon light the things that people who love each other do.

Since Diandra was still young she decided the best option for her at this point was to take a job in Paris, so she could clear her mind and get away from everything, creating a life for herself and memories that she would hold for herself. Julian wasn’t happy to hear that Diandra was moving away but he also was a little confused on what he could give her because she wanted to settle down and he never felt he could do that.

Diandra and Julian were like a magnet that couldn’t be pulled away, if she was standing in a group, she would look up to see Julian had found his way closer to her and the same for him.

They adored each other but the problem with this magnetic love was that Julian had lots of admirers and Julian gave into them women and men.

He adored Diandra as well and loved their chemistry and energy together, but he wanted to taste the world with every creature he saw stirring because love to him was like a piece of art, painting with different strokes of color and each sound from different musical instruments, he felt alive this way.

Diandra loved the arts as well and traveled to other parts of Europe to indulge in cities such as Paris, Barcelona, Madrid, and London.

She kept her mind busy, so she wouldn’t think of her Greek lover but even as she traveled to these cities that she had never been before with Julian she felt she had walked this earth with him in places like Glastonbury, UK, Paris, France, South of France and in Madrid.

That was because she had lived many lifetimes and she had loved Julian many lifetimes before.

It was very difficult and heartbreaking at times because Diandra didn’t understand how she could feel so much love for this person and he traveled the world acting like she never existed.

Diandra would sit next to Julian and listen to every word he spoke like he was discussing diamonds and pearls and the waves of the ocean, it was just beautiful and Julian would just smile so big like no one had ever looked at him this way, even though Julian wanted to live free to be as he wanted deep inside he knew that the love that Diandra would give him would never be found anywhere else in the Universe.

He loved her nurturing love, the kindness and gentleness of her touch, how her heart smiled with his touch, he felt happy and whole like he never did at any other time.

Diandra told Julian bye with a hug and a kiss on the cheek and she boarded her plane for Paris.

Diandra felt sad and she felt she could never live her life without Julian, and he let her know that no matter how he felt for her he would never leave his single life to settle down with anyone.

After Diandra got to her hotel in Paris and saying good night to Julian she showered and got the Parisian scarf she bought in the street outside her hotel, she tied the scarf on the back of the bathroom door and around her neck, took her last breath and closed her eyes for the last time.

When Diandra didn’t answer her phone for her 6 a.m. wake-up call the hotel called security and they entered her room to find she had taken her life by hanging herself from the bathroom door.

Since Julian was the last person, she called the Parisian police called him to ask about next of kin and he just fell in the floor sobbing after he hung up the phone.

He felt so deeply sad that she took her life and he knew it was because he didn’t tell her he didn’t want to live without her either.
