Preface: On [DATE REDACTED], a video was obtained via Internet web crawlers. Said video, has been found to be directly related to the HOST raid on the Insurgency Compound, known hereafter as MONOLITH, the event of which we are all familiar with. A decription of video contents are as follows:

Description:

Video opens with what appears to be a basement. The walls are painted white, and the concrete floor is covered in dust and dirt. A fuel oil tank is positioned to the left side of frame and, what appears to be, a furnace to the right. A simple desk is pressed against the wall directly infront of camera. Before it, sits a small folding chair. Position of desk would have anyone sitting at it facing away from the camera. A cork board hangs above the desk, upon which hangs various materials.

Upon detailed analysis of the cork boards contents, articles of note included:

-One baseball-style hat (black)

-A handwritten note, stating: “all reports are to be verbally dictated using the included computer tablet". The note is signed with a heart and the letter “M”.

-One necklace and picture attached to board via the same tac. The necklace appears to be a silver heart shaped locket. The photograph is of a female, appearing to be in her early thirties, with brown hair and green eyes. She is seen smiling and waving to the camera. Attempts of facial recognition on subject have, so far, yeilded no results.

The video contiues as a two-way radio on desk crackles and begins broadcasting. The broadcast is a conversation between two entities. The first, a female voice, referring to themselves as “Monolith”. The second, a male voice, referring to themselves as “Legion 2-4”. Multiple sources of gunfire can be heard through out the transmissions of the second voice. A transcript of conversation is as follows:

[Monolith]: Legion 2-4, this is Monolith, how copy?

[Legion 2-4]: Legion 2-4 copies, Monolith. (static) enganged with HOST forces on [redacted]. We are about 3 kilometers from your location.

[Monolith]: Monolith copies, stand by.

(a break in communication lasting approximately 30 seconds)

[Monolith] Legion 2-4, prepare to copy new tasking.

[Legion 2-4] Legion 2-4, ready for tasking.

[Monolith] Legion 2-4, need you to vacate the area, ASAP.

[Legion 2-4] Monolith, I am minutes away and able to assist.

[Monolith] Negative Legion 2-4. HOST forces have compound surrounded and are preparing to for entry. We have begun failsafe protocol.

[Legion 2-4 begins to viamently protest but is quickly cut off by Monolith]

[Monolith] All units, all units, Monolith. Emergency Message to follow.

(brief pause. Monolith’s voice, which has been stoic till now, appears to be quavering with emotion slightly)

[Monolith] All units in the field, Monolith compound is compromised and capture is imminent. Failsafe protocol: Gabriel’s Horn is now in effect. Though our fight may be at it’s end, your’s is not. Continue on for us, and lead our nation to one of freedom, and peace. Good to you all. And to you, Legion 2-4, I’m so sorry. (Monolith’s voice breaks and a moment of sobbing can be heard).

Approxamately 5 seconds after final of radio transmission, the screen cuts to black and video ends.

Analysis: If the video occurred at the time suspected, it is this point, when a 1 megaton nuclear device was detonated at the “Monolith” compound. The detonation resulted in a Mass Casuality Incident. HOST causilty list includes:

Deceased: 56

Wounded: 25

Missing:7

Conclusion: While a substantial victory has been made in removing the threat of the “Monolith” compound, it is evident (by the suspected survival of “Legion 2-4”) there is still more to be done. Small pockets of these terrorists remain. They live amoung the civilian population and will use them as shields whenever possible. Therefor, it is our job to hunt them down and excise them. We shall leave them no refuge or safe havens. They can rest assured, we will see them very soon.
