House Portals

The Traveler book one

House Portals

Some houses are portals. They sleep until their ward finds them and then become activated. They become a great red doorway for all manner of interdimensional creatures to travel through. A highway for many frequencies to pass through. An intergalactic lighthouse. The Traveler that is assigned as caretaker of these grounds is wired with special protections so they can spend their energy holding the frequencies for creatures to get where they need to go.

Fun Fact: Baba Yaga was/is a traveler with a house portal. Hers had chicken legs.

Observations about house portals

You can expect strange activity.

This may seem like a given, but there are times, especially before you know that you’re a Traveler that you might feel like you’re imagining things. You’re not. You go through a process with the house, as you both become what you were made to be. For example, maybe you started noticing your gifts very early on in this life, but it seemed random and nonsensical. Maybe you even went to a doctor a number of times only to be told they couldn’t figure out what was wrong with you. Even after very expensive tests, they were always stumped. This is often the first sign of magickal ability. So maybe you finally realize you’re something and you go about trying to learn spells and the magicks others have written down over the years. But that doesn’t work for you. But you see magick happening in your life all the time. Especially once you are joined with your house portal, if you have one. Not all Travelers have one but all house portals are cared for by a Traveler because of the way they are wired.

Most house portals are surrounded by nature of some sort. There needs to be grounding both for the ward of the house and for the creatures who pass through. You might find an abnormal amount of trees, or a stream behind it, or any waterbody. You might find wildlife is unusually attracted to it, even in suburban neighborhoods. You will usually find that nature has a life of it’s own that despite your efforts to make it look like the other spaces in the neighborhood, it will not obey. And this is a waste of the Traveler’s time. You must find the balance between remaining inconspicuous and letting things be what they are. I’ve found that there is a certain amount of anonymity that a house portal brings. Despite the “unruly” aesthetic that happens around a house portal, the locals don’t notice nearly as much as you might think. That’s because of the invisible energetics that surround the property. In fact, it is not entirely unusual to have a whole neighborhood hit with damage from a storm but the portal house untouched entirely. Even during surges of crime, The Traveler’s portal house and surrounding property within the borders will usually remain undisturbed.

House portals are often old as the process of becoming takes many earth years, just as it does for humans. There is an enormous amount of transmutation that takes place as the physical materials go through a process over the years getting ready for the ward to show up. House portals also have many creatures that live there and are not passing through. Some are there for asylum and it is important for the Traveler to make contact with these beings because some are mischievous and like to hide the belongings of humans they don’t like or disturb the in other ways. They can see things in humans that we sometimes miss. People that come to live in the house will have a polarizing attitude toward the energy. They either love or hate it. The tricksters will also creep around scaring humans that sleep there from time to time. The Traveler must find their Authority and state the boundaries clearly. They will find that many of these creatures, while troublesome, can also hold an old house together until the resources from the earth systems come in at a better flow. (footnote: resources are often scarce for Travelers, because the earth system or the matrix does not recognize their frequency yet and often treats them like an intruder or a parasite. This will change as more travelers remember who they are or are born. And then resources will become more available. It’s not always the malevolent, just the science that was set up as an ecosystem. Evolution takes time. This is the same principle for many other beings who haven’t been here in awhile.)

The Traveler might find an urge to bring “people” in and feed them. This is not just humans. This is a deeper understanding that a Traveler, being housed in a waystation, will often benefit from feeding the creatures that pass through or are inhabiting the space in asylum. Nothing special is required except following those urges to cook whatever makes sense in each moment. The details aren’t as important as the relationship you build with the sentient creatures that occupy the same space as the Traveler. They will always tell you what they need if you are open to it. This will also require the Traveler to step more out of the matrix paradigm, but I will get to that in later writings.

Sometimes companions will come into your life who are more than the animals they take the bodies of. For example, I had no thoughts of bringing another dog into my portal house but one day, I just happen to hear about a litter of white great Pyranees puppies who would likely grow very big and a memory sparked in my soul. As all things destined, I very quickly made arrangements and the puppy with an old soul was the only one who walked up to me and immediately nuzzled my neck. His great King of a father sat beside me and put his giant paw on my arm, giving me a solemn look of knowing and responsibility. When I put him in the car, his soul spoke to my soul and told me his name was King Midas and I cried. He has been sleeping with me since day one and we go on many adventures during sleep and during the day. He helps me so much in my traveling and everyone who meets him knows he is not really a dog. He is a very old friend that needed to wear a dog body in this life for whatever reason and I love him more than I could ever express. He does a lot of work around the portal house as well, patrolling the outside area for foul energies and making sure all is working as it should. You might be wondering why a King would lower himself to a dog, but let me tell you that this world is full of Kings and Queens disguised in the most lowly of personas. It’s actually humans who don’t recognize they’ve got it all backwards, thinking they’re on the top of some hierarchy. True royalty knows that sometimes you must be the one to embark on the most dangerous of adventures. And anyway, dogs make a perfect vehicle for undercover work and have a wonderful energetic compatibility for certain creatures of other dimensions to visit here due to their loving and pure nature. And shorter lifespans as well.
