Flex
For Heather Hubler's 'Unscramble' Challenge - Weightlifter
My Word: Weightlifter
The Challenge:
“To lift is a gift,” he thought. Life only goes around once and you cannot wilt while the wheel turns and you just flit from… He had to focus on the weight that he added to the tree of iron surrounding him.
“As you grew, you flew away from that old life…”
He handled this one well, this private fight on top of this tile right in this gym. There was a rift between what he was and the tiger he saw in the floor-to-ceiling mirrors. But now, another challenge to weigh; another reef crossed now between old and new…
“Grit your teeth…filter out that pain…”
Where could he take it…?
He placed his hands on the bar (it felt light)...
What was he trying to forget…?
He began to flex...
The metal began to take flight.

Congrats on placing in the challenge. Not surprised at all!
Congratulations on placing in Heather’s challenge ✅
This was really well done. Congrats.
Great micro! Such intentional choice in how you incorporated each word!
Congratulations on a well-deserved win!
Wonderfully clever!! I loved how it all felt like such a struggle and what should have been the hardest part at the end, was what made you take flight. Loved this entry!! Congrats on TS!
Excellent challenge entry & well deserved Top Story! You wove the unscrambled words in effortlessly… just like the weightlifter dealt with the weights… Sadly, weights are definitely not my favourite part of exercising!🥺
beautiful!!!
Creative minds are constantly comparing and spinning and riffing. I am utterly fascinated by improv! I watch certain shows on telly just to require my mind to stop it for a while! BTW: I published the sweetest little sonnet. Because a quirky little sonnet that you posted attracted my attention, I'd like you to read mine. I wrote it while living in a lovely antebellum cottage in Summervillle, SC--in the pines, in the pines...18 miles inland from the harbor.
Soooo good!
Loved this! Congratulations on Top Story!
👏👏👏 Felt like it was me. Great effect and Congrats, Kendall!
Congratulations on your top story.
Back to say congratulations on your Top Story! 🎉💖🎊🎉💖🎊
Interesting that you picked up on where your mind can go when lifting heavy. Are you a gym rat like me? Congrats on TS!
