Getting to the Village is a bit harder then you thought, instead you find what looks like a laundry room, two sets of washers and dryers sitting side by side on the right side. A woman storms through without even saying anything letting doors slam behind her. You open the last door she went through seeing a sign stating ‘Welcome to Village! No entry without pass, Please!’. The moment you walk through the door you are greeted by a Blue Jay with a ribbon in it’s beak.

“OMG Jordan, is this for real?” “I don’t know, it looks a little shady to me. A better word might be creepy.” “It doesn’t look much like that bird is going to leave either.” “Might as well take the ribbon then, right?”

As you reach for the ribbon the bird flies away into the night, all that is left is the moon and the stars above. Within that very same moment you notice the bird lands on a fence post, the closer you get the easier it is to see a road in the distance.

“OMG, can you see that road, Jordan? I bet it leads to the old Nurse’s homes! Let’s run and see if I’m right!” “I bet you are right! Let’s go see!”

Both of you race down the old worn-out dirt road leading the nowhere. When finding the end of the dirt road, you find a block long, of brick houses. At the least 12 on either side of the street. They all still look well taken care of, as if preserved in time. There basement windows are just as large as those for the main floor. Making the house look extremely tall.

Almost out of breath, you stop to look at all the homes in front of you. “Well, I’d be damned! Guess I was right after all. Look at these huge homes! Don’t they look a bit odd to you Jordan? Cause they sure the hell do to me.”

“Yes, I agree they look very odd. When looking through these basement windows, its looks like they have ten feet high basement ceilings.” Jordan leans against a window, at least her height looking into the basement. “Come on, lets look inside!”

Jordan runs up the cemented front stairs, reaching for the doorknob, “This one is locked. Almost looks like someone might still live here!” She races down the stairs and off to the next house. “We should be able to get into one of these houses!”

You follow suit, running across the street and up the front stairs of the first house you come across reaching for the doorknob, before you can touch it. The doorknob, turns left, then right slowly creeks open, allowing you access! Screaming, “Jordan! I got in, come over here this place is huge!” Your eyes scan the large living room as the door swings open on it’s own accord.

The living room is fully furnished in early 1900’s antique couch, chairs, built-in wall bookcase. The accent wall is completely covered with mirrors and faces the living room windows. There is a coffee table and end tables surrounding the couch, all accented with light hardwood floors leading both ways around the mirrored wall. As you walk to your right you are meet with a dinning room area, also fully furnished with antiques, a oversized table and chair set, a built in China cabinet in the corner.

Continuing on around the mirrored wall leads into the large kitchen, cabinets encase the entire back side of mirrored wall. Once through kitchen there is a hallway leading down to two bedrooms and a washroom, all on your right side. The washroom is large with over sized tub. Both bedrooms have antique furniture as well a bed with dressers in both, master is the last room. The only way back to the living room area is to go back the same way you came, which makes no sense. Why was there a hallway leading off the right side of that mirrored wall? What is going on?

“Jordan, did you get in the house, yet?”

Jordan has come through the front door and headed down the hallway off the left of the mirrored wall already. When getting to the end of the hallway she finds a sliding glass door on her right and a dead end? She opens the sliding door, giving an option to slide open another door that heads right back towards the living room, but Jordan continues down the hallway leading through another glass slide door, taking her into a bedroom.

This room has two walls, both of which have ceiling to floor glass walls, allowing for the sun to shine through for most of the day. From there Jordan decides to take the sliding door that leads back to the living room, as you continue making your way back to the front doors. “Jordan? Hello where did you go?” Since you are still not hearing from Jordan you head back towards the kitchen, hearing a door slide shut!

“Boo! Got you, didn’t I?” “What the hell Jordan, how did you do that? Where did you come from?” “Wow come check this out! It’s a hallway between the walls! For some reason, why do you think they would make this hallway?”

“What? Why would they do that?” You and Jordan make your way back down the hallway, Jordan leading the way. Taking you through a softly lit hallway made between the mirrored wall and the kitchen cabinet wall. Jordan comments, “Look what is at the end, that might answer some questions.”

“Wow, another bedroom.” Thinking to yourself for a second, then repeating it out loud to Jordan, “Wow, there is two more bedrooms on the other side of this hallway. I bet they made it like this to isolate the sick and dying, within their own families. Amazing and very smart! Wouldn't you have to agree?” “OMG! Yes, that would make total sense! I wonder what the basement is like. It does have pretty high ceilings; a whole other family could live down there. What do you think?”

“I bet you are right, lets go see.” You head downstairs to find an entire basement has been broken down to two separate, self contained private dwellings. Each containing two bedrooms, kitchens and living room areas the washroom and laundry facility are shared. “Jordan, there are two apartments down here! It’s huge and the power still works!”

Jordan heads downstairs to share in your discovery, “This is totally amazing! I wonder what the backyard is like. Everything inside is self contained, there must have been a garden of some sort too, one would think anyways? Right?” “That makes complete sense to me Jordan, we should check it out! Remember the hint work with nature to find the Golden Key?”

“Right, Shit what are we waiting for?” Jordan runs for the back door, turning doorknob, she gets stopped dead in her tracks! “Shit! The door won’t open!” She runs, for the front door! You can hear panic in Jordan’s voice, as you watch the Blue Jay return, hovering in front of you. “I can’t get out the front door either! It’s locked! We are locked in this house!!”

“Jordan calm down, the bird is back, come here!” Jordon sneaks around the corner peeking to see what you are talking about, watching the bird hover in front of you. Still holding a ribbon.

The Blue Jay hovers close enough to you that you are now able to touch it, pet it and take the ribbon! As soon as it touches your skin it turns into a shape you do not recognize! “What the hell Jordan, this just changed into something when it touch my hand!”

“Let me see, please.”

When opening your hand; it begins to grow into a little seedling. “OMG, I think I need to bury this somewhere, like right now!” You trip falling flat on your ass, both hands automatically reaching back to brace your own fall! You watch as the seedling goes flying through the air landing behind you, at least ten feet away. “Shit!” Again, you watch as the seedling begins to grow, looking back at Jordan, “It’s growing into a rubber plant with a golden leaf now! What the hell is going on now?”

You reach down, the golden leaf falls off in the palm of your hand. Instantly you can feel it change, your eyes close immediately to avoid the brightness of what you now hold in your hands! “Jordan this leaf is changing into a key! The Golden Key! Jordan open your eyes; we found the KEY!”

Jordan slowly opens her eyes, “It is! We found the key!” Beginning to dance all around you. “Let's celebrate!” “Hold on Jordan, let’s not get ahead of yourselves here. We still need to find that secret door before two hours is up!” “Right! Right! Lets get on finding it!”

Before you can even respond, poof you find yourselves teleported right into a very dark, musty smelling and cramped space. “What the hell happened? Where are we? Jordan are you still with me?” nervousness can be heard in your voice as you wrestle around inside your backpack trying to feel for your flashlight, turning it on immediately shining it around. “Jordan?”

Where the hell ? Where did Jordan end up? Where the hell did you end up?

Want to find out what happened to your Buddy Jordan or investigate the dark cramped, musty smelling, space you guys just fell into, where it leads too? Where you both are? Can you find that secret door now that you have your key, before running out of time?
