Endurance

It's Friday Night, and it's "guy's night out". Steven and Doug, along with a few friends, take Michael to a gentlemen's club near Chicago. The guys enter the building, and Steven extends a handshake to the bouncer.

Bouncer- Steven, my man!

Steven- What up, homie?

Bouncer- You're set up directly in front of the stage.

Michael stands out to the bouncer. Michael does not want to be here.

Bouncer- Don't tell me you're the bachelor, bro.

Steven- (grabs Michael by the shoulders) This is the man I was talking about. This man is getting married tomorrow.

Doug- We're going to make him enjoy his final night of freedom.

Bouncer- Best of luck, bro. Have as much fun as you want because a lot of money has been paid.

Doug- (grinning) Oh, he will. I guarantee it.

Steven and Doug lead Michael and their friends to the stage, and they take their seats at the table. Steven and Doug are ecstatic to be at the club. Michael, on the other hand, is dreading it. He clearly does not want to be here. He notices the dancer clinging to the dance pole with only her wrapped leg. As she descends, the dancer begins to spin slowly. She finally makes it to the floor of the stage, and the first person she sees is Michael.

DJ- (from speakers) Angel demonstrating her pole-dancing abilities! Show 'em what you got, baby girl!

ANGEL, the exotic dancer, gives Michael a very seductive smile. Angel is a tall woman with a very athletic build, long blonde hair, and blue eyes. She is wearing a white thong, a bra that matches it, and a pair of white platform shoes. Steven and Doug are excited when they notice her looking in Michael's direction.

Doug – (ecstatic) Damn, Michael! She's already picked you out!

Angel approaches Michael in a seductive manner as loud rock music plays in the background. She lowers herself to the stage's floor and smiles at Michael. Steven and Doug continue to encourage Michael.

Angel exits the stage and approaches Michael in rhythm with the song's beat. To the glee of every man in the room, she grabs him by the head and burying his face between her ample breasts. Finally, she walks away from Michael and heads to the stage to continue.

Steven- (to Michael) She likes you, bro!

Michael- What the heck just happened?

Steven and Doug reach into their wallets and pull out wads of $1 bills. They gradually begin tossing the bills onto the stage. As Angel completes her performance, all the men keep yelling and cheering. Michael, completely embarrassed, sits motionless.

DJ- (over the speakers) Let's give it up for Angel! Angel, gentlemen!

The drunken men cheer as Angel makes her way off the stage. Doug, Steven, and all of their friends also cheer and whistle. Michael remains seated, emotionless. Doug notices Michael's demeanor and becomes irritated.

Doug- Michael, what's the matter? Enjoy this! We paid a lot of money for this!

Michael- This isn't right. I can't do this to Abby.

Doug- Come on. You're not doing anything wrong. You're not banging this broad. It's just dancing.

Michael- This is temptation. I don't want to be tempted.

Angel approaches the table and stands in front of Michael, smiling.

Angel- So, you're the groom-to-be.

When Michael looks up, he sees Angel smiling at him. The interaction excites Steven and Doug.

Doug- Yes, this little punk is getting married tomorrow.

Angel- (smiles at Michael) Well, aren't you the cutest thing in the room?

Steven- (to Michael) Did you hear that? She loves you!

Doug- Angel, why don't you show our guy a good time in the back?

Angel- No problem.

Angel grabs Michael by the hand. Michael remains seated in his seat, unsure of what to do.

Doug- What are you waiting for, dude? Have some fun!

Angel- Come on, dear.

Michael reluctantly stands up. To the delight of Steven, Doug, and their friends, Angel escorts him to the back. Michael looks back as he is led away from the table, a hesitant expression on his face. Michael is conflicted. He doesn't want to betray Abby, and he doesn't want to displease his friends. After all, they did spend a great deal of money on the evening.
