Every time she fell, every time she got up. Every time the words refused to flow, there was another side to it. Like an understudy on stage, always ready to give her a hint.

When her soul couldn't cope, it chose the simplest way to speak. When her body ailed, it needed to be healed by a stronger side.

They acted as complementary two parts of the same machine, like the positive and negative sides of a battery, like black and white creating a de rigueur grey.

Bilingualism is a bona fide gift.
