DESTRA ISLAND

Destra island, also known as the land of the lost souls. Destra island is a place where no human would love to be. The legends have it that people who end up going there tend to bear endless suffering and pain which eventually led to death. Many have explored the island out of curiosity but ended up paying the ultimate price. Lawmakers around the world even passed laws that forbidden people from visiting the Island but that didn’t stop people from exploring their curiosity.

CHAPTER I (Maxi Diouf the Great Scientist)

One day a scientist and researcher named Maxi Diouf decided he wanted to know more about the Island. He has been researching the Island for decades. He has been trying to figure out why the Island was having this effect on people but he just couldn’t get a grasp of it. He tested so many theories but none of them gave him the answers he needed. He even sent some animals to Destra Island to see if it had the same psychological effects it did on humans to also happen on animals and for the most part, the animal will end up dying and also the brain exploding, so he would never get back an MRI brain scan from the animal to see the brain activity. Maxi tried everything in his power to try and better understand Destra island. But he just kept coming with empty results. He was a well-known scientist in the world and has been awarded many prizes for his work. So, most people really depended on him so they could better understand the Island.

CHAPTER II (Mission Destra begins)

Years and years go by as Maxi still goes on countless researches till something finally clicks in his mind. He then came up with the idea to go explore the Island himself to better understand it. He ran to his fellow scientist in the firm and told them about his idea and they all looked at him crazy and begged him not to go because he was just going to become another lost soul. He heard all their advice but he still wasn’t going to change his mind. As days then went by he started to build a helmet that had a built-in MRI that could send his brain activity live as he was on the Island. It took Maxi several months to finally finish building the helmet. Once it was ready. He was ready to go on the adventure to Destra Island. His wife, his son, and daughter couldn’t stop crying as they believed this would be the last time they will ever see him. The president gave his family a medal of honor for his bravery before he took off on the journey. Maxi packed his belongings and some food for the long journey. Destra Island was an eight-day journey from his country and you could only travel by sea because the turbulence in the air by Destra Island was very heavy.

CHAPTER III (The Doom of Destra)

The eight days now go by and Maxi has arrived at Destra Island. He pulls his phone to send everyone who is at the base to let them know he has arrived. As he leaves the ship, he feels the heavy gust of wind. The wind is so strong that it knocks him off his balance. It takes him a while to get back up. Maxi in his well-coated bodysuit protects him from the unpredictable weather change of the island. Maxi then begins to make his way to the center of the island where all the lost souls have never returned home. As he is making his way, he begins to see skulls and bone fragments of the decomposed human beings that step foot on the island. Maxi begins to lose strength as he has been walking for over thirty miles. He then collapses and is now left deserted on the island.

CHAPTER IV (Let the pain begin)

Days go by and Maxi is still unconscious. He has lost signal with the base at home. So no one can reach him. Moments later Maxi wakes up. He touches himself in a panicked manner. Maxi then gets up and continues to make his way to the center of the island. As he is getting closer he begins to hear screams. He looks around but he sees no one. He then continues to walk but every time he will walk he will hear screams and each time they got louder and louder. It came to a point that Maxi began to cry. Destra island was now taking its effect on Maxi. His helmet sensors began to beep out of control. The sound of the noise from the helmet was so painful that he took it off. Maxi just sat down on the floor as he continued to cry as the screams didn’t stop. The next stage of the island's effect began to take place which was bringing out your almost death moment and it starts to replay in your head over and over then the next and final stage did not waste time taking effect which was the rapid aging. Maxi began to feel his bones getting weaker. His skin becoming loose and saggy. Maxi was so weakened at this point that he couldn’t even walk.

CHAPTER V (The solution & answer)

Days went by and it was endless suffering for Maxi. The images wouldn’t stop playing. The screams were getting worse by the day. He was beginning to lose his vision. Maxi kept on thinking of ways to get out of this reality but he was just stuck in an endless loophole. Maxi then sees a skull roll down his path and he picks it up and as he looks at it more tears began to flow as he started to see that was going to be his fate soon in a matter of time but as Maxi was crying he began to talk to the skull and he said these words, “ I am sorry, I am sorry. I have failed you all. I thought I was going to have the answers but I got nothing. The pain is too much right now. I just want the screaming to stop. My bones and muscles are hurting by the minute. I just want it all to end, I can do this no more. To my family and friends, I will forever love you. Please take care of yourselves. Oh Destra island, I am ready to go. I just want the pain to stop.”

He lets go of the skull and then he collapses again. Moments later wakes up. He does not hear the screams anymore. The pain in his muscles and bones has stopped. He looks up and the sky is clear and the weather is at a stable temperature. He looks to the side he sees a white fox walking with a heart-shaped locket in its mouth and then the fox drops it on Maxi’s lap and leaves. Maxi is confused but he then proceeds to pick it up. He opens it and everything just goes blank. Maxi wakes up in his ship. The locket is now around his neck. He looks around and Destra island is nowhere to be found. He tries to open back up the locket but it has been sealed. Maxi thinks to himself as he is just amazed at what happened. But he finally realized what happened and he just smiles and he just starts the ship back up and begins to sail back to his country.
