In a quiet town near the dense forests of the backwater, there stood an old mansion known as Demonte Colony. It was the kind of place that sent shivers down your spine just looking at it, with its crumbling walls and overgrown garden. But for a group of adventurous teenagers, the allure of the abandoned mansion was too tempting to resist.

One rainy evening, as the storm clouds gathered overhead, a bunch of friends gathered around a flickering campfire. Karthi, the self-proclaimed leader of the group, grinned mischievously as he pitched his idea.

"Hey, guys, you know that old haunted house on the edge of town? Demonte Colony?" he said, excitement gleaming in his eyes.

"Yeah, what about it?" Sona asked, raising an eyebrow.

"I say we spend the night there," Karthi declared, his voice brimming with confidence.

His friends exchanged nervous glances, but after a moment of hesitation, they nodded in agreement. It was the perfect adventure to spice up their boring weekend.

The rain pelted down as they made their way through the darkened streets, their flashlights cutting through the gloom. Finally, they reached the imposing gates of Demonte Colony, its silhouette looming ominously against the stormy sky.

"Are you sure about this, Karthi?" Kavya whispered, her voice barely audible over the howling wind.

"Absolutely," Karthi replied, though even he sounded uncertain. "Let's do this."

With a collective breath, they pushed open the creaking gates and stepped onto the overgrown path leading to the mansion. Each step sent a chill down their spines, but they pressed on, their hearts pounding with a mixture of fear and excitement.

As they entered the foyer, the air seemed to grow heavier, suffused with a palpable sense of dread. The once-grand halls were now shrouded in darkness, the shadows dancing eerily in the flickering light of their flashlights.

"Whoa, this place gives me the creeps," Vicky muttered, his voice barely above a whisper.

"Tell me about it," Sona replied, her eyes darting nervously around the room.

Ignoring the uneasy feeling gnawing at their insides, they began to explore the mansion, each room more unsettling than the last. Dust-covered furniture lay strewn about, and cobwebs hung from the ceiling like ghostly drapes.

Suddenly, Kavya let out a gasp as her flashlight illuminated a strange object in the corner of the room.

"What is that?" Karthi asked, moving closer to get a better look.

"It looks like some sort of... mirror?" Sona ventured, her brow furrowed in confusion.

As they approached, they saw that the mirror was unlike any they had ever seen before. Its surface was tarnished and cracked, reflecting their distorted images back at them.

"Let's get out of here," Kavya said, her voice trembling with fear.

But before they could make a move, a cold gust of wind swept through the room, extinguishing their flashlights in an instant. In the darkness, they heard a faint whispering, like the echoes of a long-forgotten memory.

"Did you hear that?" Vicky asked, his voice barely above a whisper.

Before anyone could reply, they felt something brush against their skin, icy fingers trailing down their spines. With a scream, they stumbled backwards, desperate to escape the suffocating darkness closing in around them.

But it was too late.

One by one, they were consumed by the shadows, their terrified cries echoing through the empty halls of Demonte Colony. And as the first light of dawn broke through the storm clouds, the mansion stood silent once more, its secrets buried within its walls.

For in the heart of Demonte Colony, there could be no escape from the darkness that lurked within.
