Businessperson in trouble

Once upon a time there was a merchant who was going to sell some goods in a city, so he got on a big boat and set off.

One day, while the ship was sailing, the captain cried: "Passengers, we have drifted off our course, and we are destined to drift near an island inhabited by vicious ape-men. No one can escape from this place, we are all going to die!"

As the boat approached the island, the apes surrounded the boat at once and began to climb up to the boat. They were covered in black and thick fur. They smashed everything on the boat and drove the people to their island, and then took the people on the boat to a high house with a fire plate for cooking and a large pile of human bones.

At this time, a devil with a tall torso and a ferocious appearance came out. His mouth was as big as a well. He picked up the people on the boat from the ground and chose them. He touched the merchant over and over, and found that the merchant was thin and weak, so he put him down. Then he picked out the captain from among the people on the boat; the captain was fat and had good meat. The terrible devil actually burned him and ate him. After the demon had eaten, he lay down and fell asleep, and the people on the boat took the opportunity to escape.

After they escaped, they toured the island, but could not find a place to hide. The next morning, the devil woke up, took the men back, and picked another victim, as before. When he fell asleep again, the people on the boat discussed with each other: "We might as well throw ourselves into the sea, it is better to die like this."

The merchant said to them, "Let's find some trees to make some rafts and try to escape."

Everyone agreed, and they got to work, carried the wood to the shore, made a raft, hid it by the sea, and went back to the house.

At this time, the devil was still sleeping, and they took two iron rods and burned them in the fire until they were red. They put two iron rods in the devil's eyes, blinding his eyes, and the devil jumped up with a cry. The people on the boat were terrified and ran around. Ran to the shore, got on the raft quickly, and sailed into the sea. The devil chased after him, and another devil who was more terrifying than him led him. The two of them threw stones at the people on the boat. As a result, only three people on the raft survived, and the merchant was one of them. The next day, they floated to an island with delicious fruit and spring water. They fell to the ground in a happy mood and fell asleep.

However, a huge python attacked them, and among the three, it swallowed one of their companions. In this way, they fell into fear again and ran around the island until later, they found a tall tree, and they climbed up to hide. But at night, the giant python came again and swallowed another companion. The merchant could only stare blankly, and his soul was terrified.

After the python left, the merchant took two wide boards and tied them horizontally under his feet, and tied two pieces of wood to his shoulders and one to his head. In this way, the wood surrounded him like a box. At night, the python came again, this time, the merchant was protected by wood, and the python could not devour him.

As soon as the sun came out, the python left.

The merchant walked along the shore of the island, and a boat came in the distance. The merchant broke a large branch and signaled the passengers, and they drove over and took the merchant to the boat. The merchant told the people on the boat all the hardships, and they were amazed when they heard it. They changed the merchant's clothes and gave the merchant something to eat, and the merchant's mood gradually calmed down, and what had happened to him almost turned into a dream.

Then they came to a port, and the captain dropped anchor and let the merchants take out their goods to buy and sell.

The captain said to the merchant: "You are a man in distress and very poor, so I want to help you very much. Once upon a time there was a merchant with us, and we lost him, and his life is still unknown. I will give his goods to you to manage for him, and make some money, so that you can pay for the journey home."

He then asked the sailor to bring the goods up to the merchant, and said to the merchant, "After you make money in the future, if you have the opportunity to meet the owner, return the goods he deserves and give it to him!"

After the merchant went ashore to the city, he did business and made a lot of money. Soon he returned to his hometown, saw his old friends and companions, and completely forgot what happened to him and the pain he endured.
