In the seclusion of his bedroom, nestled away from their parents’ prying eyes, their hearts entwined in a secret dance of affection. The soft glow of the bedside lamb cast a warm atmosphere over the room and played around their faces with its delicate light.

As the gentle hum of conversation drifted up from downstairs, where both their parents indulged in a conversation about their lives over coffee and cake; they had probably already swapped the coffee for something stronger, most likely a good bottle of wine from the surrounding vineyards.

“Sammy,” Alexander whispered, his voice barely heard above the distant chatter. “I wanted to tell you something for a while now.”

“What is it, Alex?” Sam’s eyes sparkled with curiosity as he leaned closer, their breaths mingled.

“I… I…” With a shy smile, Alex reached out, his fingertips grazing Sam’s hand. “I think I’m falling for you.”

A soft gasp escaped Sam’s lips, his only reaction to his friend’s confession. However, his heart raced with a mixture of excitement and uncertainty. For a long time, he had hoped for such a message out of Alex’s mouth.

Their hands found each other in the dim light, fingers interwined in a silent promise of love. Seated cross-legged on the carpet in front of the bed, they exchanged stolen glances laden with unspoken desire. Their fingertips brushed against one another’s skin, igniting a spark that set their hearts ablaze and longed for something more.

“Alex, I do lo… like you a lot,” Sam whispered after a while. He looked deep into his friend’s eyes. For a moment, all he wanted was to lean forward and kiss him. But before he could give in to it, Alex released their intimate connection and stood up.

He walked over to his bedroom door and carefully pushed it shut as quietly as he could. Once it was closed, he returned to his place, set cross-legged next to Sam again, and leaned against his bed.

The two boys exchanged nervous glances; their hearts raced with uncertainty. Neither of them knew what to say, so they stayed silent for the moment. Shy smiles whenever their eyes met.

“Can I hug you, Alex?” Sam asked.

Alex just nodded. He was longing for more physical contact; however, he was afraid of telling him. For such a long time, he wondered how it would feel to be in his arms.

Sam slowly leaned forward, scooting closer to his friend. He hesitated. But as soon as he felt Alex's breath on his face, the desire for touch became overwhelming and he wrapped his arms around him. Still a little awkward, the two boys lay in each other’s arms, their cheeks touching, their heart pounded on their chests excitedly.

After a moment, Alex wrapped his arms around Sam, causing them to lose their balance. They fell to the side without letting go of each other. In the safety of one another’s arms, they found refuge from the uncertainty that lurked beyond the door. Their love blossomed in the secrecy of Alex’s room. In the soft cadence of their breaths, Alex tenderly stroke Sam’s back, his hands carefully finding their way under his shirt so that his fingertips gently stroke his skin.

It felt unreal, yet so much better than he had imagined in his dreams. He closed his eyes, enjoyed the tender touches, and wished this moment would never pass. He only opened his eyes again when he felt Sam’s lips on his cheek.

Sam carefully pushed himself up, leaning on his arms as he looked deep into Alex’s eyes. Their hearts fluttered with anticipation. With a shy smile, Alex leaned in closer to Sam, their lips inches apart.

The world seemed to hold its breath as their lips met in a tender but shy kiss. Their lips touched, sending pleasant shivers down their spine. At first very tentatively, then slowly more intense, more demanding. More and more, the surrounding disappeared; their burning glances showed their longing for each other.

The sudden sound of the door creaking open shattered the tranquility of the room. In a rush of panic, the two boys pulled away, rolled aside, their cheeks flushed with embarrassment, when Alex’s big brother entered the room.

Excellent story , though being caught doing something society frowns upon, is horrible, especially when you know you are right
