there lived a girl Lila, she had always been superstitious, even as a child. She believed in ghosts, spirits, and all kinds of supernatural things. But she never believed in the old saying that a broken mirror brings seven years of bad luck. Until it happened to her.

Lila had just moved into a new apartment. It was a cozy little place, perfect for a single person like her. The first night she spent there, she felt a bit uneasy. She couldn't explain why, but she had a strange feeling like she was being watched. She shrugged it off and went to bed.

The next morning, Lila went to the bathroom to brush her teeth. As she stood in front of the mirror, she noticed a small crack on the bottom left corner. She didn't think much of it, thinking it was probably just wear and tear. She finished brushing her teeth and went about her day.

That evening, Lila came home late from work. She was tired and just wanted to go to bed. As she walked into the bathroom to wash her face, she saw something that made her blood run cold. The crack on the mirror had gotten bigger. And it wasn't just a crack, it was a fracture that ran diagonally across the entire mirror.

Lila couldn't explain how it had happened. She had been at work all day and no one had been in the apartment. She tried to rationalize it, thinking that maybe the building was old and the mirror was just old and fragile. But deep down, she knew something was off.

That night, Lila had a nightmare. She dreamed that she was standing in front of the broken mirror, staring at her reflection. But it wasn't her reflection. It was someone else. Someone with dark eyes, a twisted smile, and long, tangled hair. The figure in the mirror reached out to her, but Lila woke up before it could touch her.

The next morning, Lila felt like she was walking on eggshells. She was afraid to look in the mirror, afraid of what she might see. But she had to get ready for work, so she reluctantly walked into the bathroom. As she looked into the mirror, she felt a sense of dread wash over her. The figure from her dream was staring back at her, its twisted smile sending shivers down her spine.

Lila tried to scream, but no sound came out. She tried to move, but her feet felt like they were glued to the floor. The figure in the mirror started to move, its hand reaching out to Lila. And then, just as suddenly as it had appeared, it was gone.

Lila didn't know what to do. She couldn't tell anyone about what had happened, they would think she was crazy. But she couldn't stay in the apartment, not with that thing in the mirror. She decided to spend the night at a friend's house and figure out what to do in the morning.

The next day, Lila went to a thrift store to buy a new mirror. She didn't want to take any chances with the broken one. As she was browsing the store, she noticed an antique mirror that caught her eye. It was ornate and beautiful, with a wooden frame that was intricately carved. Lila knew she shouldn't buy it, but she couldn't resist.

That night, Lila hung the new mirror in her bathroom. She felt relieved, like she had gotten rid of the bad energy in the apartment. But as she was brushing her teeth, she noticed something strange. The figure from the old mirror was back, staring at her from the new one.

Lila screamed and ran out of the bathroom. She knew now that it wasn't the mirror that was cursed, it was her.
