Tits for two
Good thing us mothers are born with 2 boobs, right? When I started my breastfeeding journey, I only hoped to get to 6 months. If I got there, I would consider myself successful. I made it to 6 months. And then 9 months. When I got to 9 months, I found out I was pregnant with my next. Hubby wanted to wait a couple years, I wanted to go for it now...little did we know we were already baking another.

The Santa Files - My Friends Call Me Nick
Christmas Eve in the house was still. Downstairs, the tree blinked brightly with the colors of the rainbow. Upstairs, in the still of the darkness, two-year old Joshua awoke from his crib. Usually, he was the one of the four children, who would sleep soundly through the night. But this night was different. It was Christmas Eve! And noises came from above his head. It was almost as if horse and cart were on the roof. He decided to stand up in his crib and call out to his older brother, five-year-old Andrew, with whom he shared a bedroom.

The Santa Files - My Friends Call Me Nick
It was getting late on Christmas Eve 2004, and almost four-year old, Emma sat on her living room couch. She had all her pictures that she had drawn for Santa. But she had kept it "a secret" from Mommy and Daddy as to what she wanted this year, because she wanted to see if Santa could deliver it. She had already sent her letter to Santa weeks before, but she knew some pictures on the fire place mantle for Santa to see.

Is it me, or was it the trauma?
Where do I even begin, is a question I often ask myself when I'm trying to deal with the jumbled and twisted thoughts that run ramped each day in my head. I suffer from un-diagnosed anxiety, and I'm sure a variety of other things as well. I say un-diagnosed because I refuse to talk about things with doctors, and choose to suffer in silence instead. I got tired of hearing "It is just in my head" and to "just get over it." I often do a lot of self reflection, and it is partly because of the anxiety, but also from childhood trauma that lasted even into my adult years.

Hey Parents: Your Child's Stress? Let's Attack It.
Hey parents! Did I get your attention last time? Well, I initially wanted to put the problem and the solution in one article, but my fiancée told me that the thing would have been 2000 words long (I get rambly).

Ten Things to Teach Your Kid:
Eat Well I’m not here to say you should be vegetarian or vegan (I’m not as of this moment) but I am here to say that you should eat more fruits and veggies. Yes, across the board. And you should teach your kids to eat more fruits and veggies. You should show them from as early as possible how to create balanced meals with fruits, veggies, and grains as the main star of the meal. Teach them to eat when they are hungry and to stop when they are full. They don’t have to be clean platers, food can be stored. Teach them that food is not a replacement for emotional fulfilment - it is not your friend, it is your fuel. Find a way to get your kid to try new things, and do your best to feed them “grown-up” foods instead of additive filled “kids foods” like hot dogs and chicken nuggets everyday. You may be surprised by what they end up liking.

Shameless Things I've Done for My Daughter in the Kitchen. Top Story - October 2021.
This How It All Started While growing up I ate everything that my mother prepared for our family to eat whether I liked the foods placed before or hated them. My father worked very hard to ensure that no meals were ever missed. Neither my sisters nor I ever told my mother what we wanted or what our preferences were. That was sometimes reserved for special occasions like birthdays. It was just customary to simply eat whatever was placed on the dinner table.

Help your Child in Growth and Development.
Children have a very sensitive heart and nurturing it to the fullest is the duty of their elders. However, while protecting the sensitivity of the heart of these children, making them mature and well-educated is also very crucial.
