When my sister came home with her new black schnauzer dog, named Pepper, I knew our family dynamics were about to change. As animal lovers, we were excited to welcome a new addition to our family, but we had no idea how much impact this little dog would have on our lives.

It all started when my mother's friend's sister had a puppy, told us about him and we got happy that she can give him to us (mainly to my sister since she’s his owner 🥰). She had been wanting a dog for a long time, and this seemed like the perfect opportunity. Soon as my sister saw him, she brought Pepper home.

Pepper was a shy from the start. He would not run around the house, jump nor played with any toys (because he didn’t have any at that time). Even when he was shy, my sister was over the moon with her new companion, and the two of them quickly became inseparable a day later.

But it wasn't just my sister who fell in love with Pepper. My mother and myself soon became enamored with him. I on the other hand was initially hesitant about getting a dog, found myself doting on Pepper and feeding him treats. Even I, as a self-proclaimed cat person, found myself warming up to this little ball of fur.

Pepper quickly became a part of our family routine. Every morning, he would greet us with a wagging tail and a playful bark, and we would all take turns giving him belly rubs and holding him. He would follow us around the house, always eager for attention, and we would all stop whatever we were doing to give him some love.

One of my favorite memories with Pepper (as you can see in the picture) was when my sister and I had him lay around in our bed with us. It was a beautiful day, and we spent hours watching movies and playing videos games while he was in the bed laying around the bed. Pepper lay down between us, licking and sleeping. I remember feeling so content and grateful.

Of course, having a dog wasn't always easy. There were times when Pepper would chew on things he shouldn't, or when he would get too excited and jump up on people. But even in those moments, it was hard to stay mad at him. He has a way of looking at you with those big, soulful eyes that made you forgive him for anything because he’s a loving dog.

As the months went by, Pepper became more than just a pet. He became a member of our family, and we couldn't imagine life without him. He has a personality all his own, full of spunk and sass, and he brought us so much laughter and love.

In conclusion, the time my sister got her black schnauzer dog, name Pepper for the time, was one of the best things to happen to our family. He brought us together, made us laugh, and filled our home with love. These memories will forever live on, and we have more to come.

“Pepper taught us the value of unconditional love and the importance of cherishing the moments we have with our loved ones, furry or not.”
