Mother's Day

A day of happiness

By Hamza MustafaPublished about a year ago 3 min read

Once upon a time, in a small village in the countryside, there lived a little girl named Lily. She had a very loving and caring mother who was always there for her. Her mother would wake up early in the morning and cook delicious breakfast for her, pack her lunch, and walk her to school every day. She would help Lily with her homework and listen to her stories every evening. Lily felt very lucky to have such a wonderful mother.

As Mother's Day was approaching, Lily wanted to do something special for her mother. She thought of making a beautiful card for her and writing a heartfelt message. She spent the whole day making the card and decorating it with flowers, glitter, and stickers. She wrote a beautiful message that read, "Dear Mom, thank you for being my sunshine on a cloudy day, my laughter when I am sad, and my guide when I am lost. You are the best mom in the world, and I love you more than anything."

On the morning of Mother's Day, Lily woke up early and tiptoed to the kitchen. She wanted to make breakfast for her mother, just like her mother did every day. She looked up some recipes online and decided to make pancakes with maple syrup and strawberries. She carefully measured the ingredients, mixed them in a bowl, and poured the batter on the frying pan. The aroma of pancakes filled the house, and Lily felt proud of herself. She arranged the pancakes on a plate, added some sliced strawberries and poured some maple syrup over them. She took the plate to her mother's room, and when her mother woke up, she was surprised to see the delicious breakfast.

"Wow, Lily, you made breakfast for me? That's so sweet of you," her mother said, kissing her on the forehead.

Lily beamed with joy, and they both enjoyed the pancakes together. After breakfast, they went for a walk in the park. The sun was shining, and the birds were chirping. Lily picked some flowers for her mother, and they sat on a bench, enjoying the nature around them. They talked about everything that was on their minds, and Lily thanked her mother for always being there for her.

As they were walking back home, they heard some music coming from the village square. When they reached the square, they saw that there was a Mother's Day celebration going on. There were stalls selling flowers, chocolates, and gifts. There was a stage where children were performing songs and dances for their mothers.

Lily and her mother joined the crowd, and they watched the performances. One little boy sang a song about his mother's love, and it brought tears to Lily's eyes. She felt grateful for her mother's love and realized how lucky she was to have her in her life.

After the performances, there was a prize distribution ceremony. The organizers announced that there would be a prize for the best card and the best breakfast made by a child for their mother. Lily felt nervous but also excited. She had put a lot of effort into making the card and the pancakes, and she hoped her mother would win.

To her surprise, her name was called out for both categories. She had won the prize for the best card and the best breakfast. Lily was overjoyed, and her mother hugged her tight.

"You did it, Lily! I am so proud of you," her mother said.

Lily felt like the luckiest girl in the world. She had made her mother happy on Mother's Day, and she had won the prize too. They went back home, and Lily gave her mother the prize. Her mother hugged her again, and they both smiled.

As the day came to an end, Lily realized that every day was Mother's Day for her because her mother always showed her love and care
