Music has a major impact on our every day lives. Some of us can't get through a day without listening to a song or two. I believe that music has a way of changing the way you think, feel and react.

If people listen to more gospel and love music do you personally believe that there will be more love in the world and more peace. Or maybe even listen to more music that had less violence in it and more peace in it would things be different or better especially for our younger generation.

Don't get me wrong I listen to all types of music but I am also the type of person who doesn't let anything influence me. I believe that there is a lot of people in this world who can be easily influenced by even the smallest things. Too bad music is not a small thing but as I said before it is something we hear in our everyday life.

Peer pressure is a very real thing. But what can you do if everyone around you listens to the same music that is not so good for your soul. These songs are on radios, social media and more. So you are literally surrounded. I enjoy music with more rhythm and beats and way less words.

Soca has become my favorite style in music atleast 10 years ago. The only thing I get encouraged to do is dance when it comes on. Imagine listening to songs that include gruesome amounts of violence. Songwriters make music they can relate to or based on what they believe others would like to hear. I personally believe that when making songs as a songwriter you should know your audience. By knowing your audience you would understand there are a lot of people who are influenced by your songs. Song writers should take the lead in changing our generations mindsets. This task may be hard for small artist but a task like this shouldn't be hard for major artist.
More music should have more positivity and less negativity. Our positives should be more focused on staying in school, working, getting good grades and more. While our negatives are violence, confrontation, not going to school, going to jail and etc. A lot of young children and even people of all ages look up to their favorite singer/ rapper who has explained through a song the way they react to everyday issue. You may tend to want to react the same way. If music encourages negative behavior in your life you may also begin to feel depressed.

Alot of people ignore what depression is because they are not realizing the music they listen to is one source behind it. Depression in this aspect goes as people saying they're not in the mood. That is the point though you have mood swings, easily irritable, fatigue, loss of interest, and even worse loss of appetite or excessive eating.Eating way more or way less is not only bad for you in a mental health way but also physical.

I would say that people should be able to control themselves and try to ignore what is influencing them but it is not so easy. Especially for our younger children. Ages four through maybe seventeen are the years you learn the most useful information. These ages of children can be easily manipulated as well by music and more. If all of our song writers made one positive motivational song and a few went viral, maybe we can see a crunch in numbers of violence In our teens. Better music Better lives!!!!
