Growing up was fun with loving parents and amazing siblings whom she always indulged in mischief with, June was a vibrant child who knew no evil but as time flew by it seemed posterity had turned it's back against her and she began to experience the other side of life.

First the separation of her parents then the death of her elder sister Zara, and finally the death of her father, June became a shadow of herself, she lost hope in life, the life which was once so colorful became black, sad and lonely. All she could think of was join her lovely father and sister in the heavens where she believed would be a much more easier place to live and so she took steps to end her life not caring about her mother and eldest sister Kina who loved her just as much.

Saying her indirect goodbyes, she made preparations for her end, she wanted it to be beautiful so she would transcend beautifully, got a white beautiful gown, made her hair, made her nails, called friends, loved ones, she was lively and unusually happy, she called her mother at work to tell her she loved her then feeling satisfied she went straight to her room turned on the music and then suddenly she heard it, her father's favorite song 'I love you baby' playing sweetly on radio, she smiled, confirming this was a sign she was meant to join him in paradise at that particular moment.

Laying down on her chosen spot, she closes her eyes still listening to the song on the radio and like a flash, she remembers her father's last words to her "I want you to be greater than I could ever be" June opens her eyes, tears freely flowing down her cheeks, she realizes what she had almost done, she stands up, throws away the poison substance and suddenly she sees her father and sister smiling at her just few inches away, she reaches out to try to touch them but at that instant they both faded away.

At that moment June realized that life is not always going to be all sunny and sweet, people come and people go that is the nature of life and wallowing in self pity is no way to live. Now she knew she was strong to face whatever comes her way in life, she chose to rise like a Phoenix and rise she did indeed.

At night, June comes out to the patio where her mum and Kina where seated talking about how their day had been, on seeing her they invited her to join in on the conversation, they made joke, laughed and finally had dinner together, then it dawned on her that there were people in her life who still needed her, who still loved her, and who were willing to help her carry the burden of her grief.

As the days turned into weeks and then months, June's smile began to return. It wasn't the same as before, but it was genuine and filled with a newfound strength. She knew that her dad and Zara would want her to find happiness and purpose in her life, even in their absence. June learned that while the pain of losing her loved ones would never fully go away, she could learn to live with it. She honored their memory by finding joy in the world around her and by helping others who were struggling with their own grief. In the end, June's story became a testament to the power of love, friendship, and resilience. It served as a reminder that even in the darkest of times, there is hope, and there are people who care deeply about our well-being.
