Finding light in each other's darkness.

Luke was a young boy who used to spend his days playing outside, living a happy life. However, when he would come home, he would be beaten by his parents. They wanted him to study instead of playing, but no matter how hard he tried, he couldn't seem to please them. Despite the beatings, Luke never stopped loving his parents and couldn't bring himself to hate them. Every chance he got, he would escape to play outside and live a little bit of happiness, knowing that it would all come to an end when he returned home. Despite the difficulties he faced, Luke never lost his sense of wonder and love for life. One day, as Luke was returning home from a day of play, he was filled with excitement at the sight of his father. He ran towards him with a beaming smile, eager to tell him all about the adventures he'd had that day. But as he approached, his father coldly told him, "I'm not your father. Go call someone with that name." Luke was stunned, and tears filled his eyes as his father walked away from him.

That night, Luke learned that his parents were in the midst of a terrible fight and that they had decided to get a divorce. He felt overwhelmed with guilt, as if it was all his fault. Tragically, before the divorce could be finalized, Luke's mother fell ill and passed away. His father abandoned him, and the court decided to send him to an orphanage. Luke arrived at the orphanage, feeling lost and alone. Despite being surrounded by other children, he never made a connection with any of them. Every night, he would lie in his bed and think about the moment his father told him that he wasn't his son. The words haunted him, and slowly he began to crumble. The once bright and lively child became distant and withdrawn. He would spend hours in solitude, replaying that moment over and over in his mind, until his heart felt like it was breaking into a million pieces. As time passed, Luke struggled to heal from the wounds of his past. But every night, those painful words echoed in his mind, reminding him of the life he once had and the father he lost.

At 16, Luke was allowed to attend a private school outside of the orphanage. (note: Every child residing in the orphanage must attend school within its premises until they reach 16 years old. At that point, they are eligible to study at other educational institutions.). He was enrolled in a prestigious private school known for its high standards and strong academic track record. Although his first month was smooth, he soon became a victim of bullying by his classmates, Despite the mistreatment, he didn't fight back and just complied with their demands, having already grown numb to the feeling of being unfairly treated. He had become broken and their actions no longer affected him. For him, it was just another normal day.

One day, a new student arrived at the school. Soliana was her name, and she quickly caught the attention of everyone in the class. Her beauty was undeniable, with deep brown eyes that sparkled like the sun and moon. Her skin was white as snow and her long hair flowed down her back. When she entered the classroom, every boy in the room was struck by her stunning appearance.

Luke was no exception to that. He was surprised by how her eyes reminded him of his late mother. But as the class started, he felt a feeling he had not experienced in a long time - anger. Her mere presence in the room seemed to exude an aura of warmth like the sun and moon were "looking" down on them, which only fueled the protagonist's rage. Despite his feelings, the class went on as usual, but Luke couldn't shake the anger that had taken hold of him. As usual Luke had faced continuous bullying from his classmates, but one day it reached a new low when one of his classmates asked him to perform an inappropriate task. Just as he was about to give in, a voice stopped him and everyone turned around to see Soliana, the new transfer student, standing up for him. The classmate who had made the request quickly left the room, Soliana approached Luke, her deep brown eyes filled with concern and her words laced with empathy. Her gaze reminded Luke of his mother, who he had lost at a young age. The memories came rushing back, and for a moment, Luke saw Soliana's eyes as the most beautiful thing in the world.

However, Luke could not bear the thought of someone looking at him with pity, and he quickly left the classroom, The day after the incident in the classroom, Luke was confronted by his classmates who demanded to know the nature of his relationship with the transfer student, Soliana. Despite his attempts to diffuse the situation, the group of boys refused to listen and physically attacked him. Luke chose to remain at the orphanage rather than attend school the next day, as a result of the beating he had endured. While at the orphanage, Luke had time to reflect on many things, including the bullying he faced at school. On that night, he was unable to sleep and gazed out the window at the stars and moon. It was then that he realized he had fallen in love with the beauty of the night, despite his fear of loneliness and solitude it had once represented to him. As he was lost in thought, he saw the moon and for a moment, he saw the eyes of his mother, or more accurately, the eyes of Soliana, who he previously found irritating. But this time, he felt a sense of peace in his heart, as memories of his mother filled him and he fell asleep. The next day, Luke went to school but couldn't find Soliana. Despite this, he went to class with many thoughts in his mind, and as the day went on, the classes were completed. While walking home he saw some boys ganging up on someone, like usual we walk past them but he noticed they are ganging up the Soliana and the people who ganged up on her seemed to study different school students, he didn't want to meddle with them so he walks away, after making some distance he started to feel something in his heart he couldn't make one step ahead, his heart telling him to see her eyes, so he decides to turn back and help her, not for her or anything he did it for one thing, he wants to feel the peace he felt yesterday night, and he didn't know he will get that peace or not but he decides to go and help her.

Luke was walking home from school when he stumbled upon a group of boys ganging up on someone. At first, he thought about just walking past them, like he usually does in such situations, but then he noticed that the person they were bullying was Soliana. The boys didn't seem to attend the same school as she and Luke felt a mixture of fear and confusion. He didn't want to get involved, but something in his heart was pulling him towards her.

He continued walking but found himself taking fewer and fewer steps as if his heart was holding him back. He was filled with the urge to see her eyes and help her, even though he wasn't sure why he felt that way. He remembered the peace he felt the previous night as he gazed at the moon and thought about his mother, and he felt that helping Soliana might bring him the same peace.

But he felt like he needed to help her to experience the peace he felt the night before. He walked back to the group of boys and called out to Soliana. "Soliana, it's time. We need to go or we'll miss our train," he said.

The bullies turned their attention to Luke and one of them sneered, "Move out you pig."

But Luke stood his ground and refused to back down. The bullies, seeing his determination, started to beat him up. Despite the pain, Luke didn't flinch. He had lived a life full of hardship and was used to dealing with adversity. The bullies, intimidated by his resilience, began to feel scared and eventually left the area. Soliana was left stunned by Luke's bravery. After the bullies left, Soliana approached Luke and asked, "Are you okay?" But he didn't respond, instead, he continued to walk towards the railway station. Confused and unsure of what to do, Soliana decided to follow him. The two of them walked in silence for a while, until Soliana couldn't take the quiet any longer and asked, "Why did you help me?" But Luke remained silent. Frustrated by his lack of response, Soliana became angry and yelled, "Hey, I'm talking to you! Why won't you answer me?" She then gave him a gentle tap on the head and pouted her face. That's when Luke finally turned to her and said, "Shut up and just walk." Despite his gruff demeanor, Soliana couldn't help but feel grateful for Luke's help and she decided to stick by his side as they made their way to the railway station.

As they walked towards the railway station, the girl couldn't help but ask the boy, "Don't you want to know why they were ganging up on me?" The boy merely shrugged and replied, "I don't want to know and it's none of my business." The girl was taken aback by his response, but she could sense that there was something more behind his words. Despite his cold demeanor and disinterest, she felt drawn to him.

As they arrived at the railway station, the girl mustered up the courage to speak again. "Why did you help me then?" The boy simply replied, "I don't know. I just did." The girl was left standing at the station, wondering about this strange boy and his motivations. Despite his apparent disinterest, she felt a connection to him that she couldn't explain.

With a heavy heart, the girl decided to go home. As the girl traveled, she felt a strange sensation within her. She had always believed that the world was cruel and that she had suffered enough. However, on this day, she saw the beauty in the world around her. The clouds in the sky, the sweet scent of the air, and the chirping of birds, all seemed so perfect. It was then that she realized that she finally wanted to live again. She wondered why she felt this way and then, she realized that it was because of the boy who had helped her when she was being bullied. Despite his disinterest in her and cold demeanor, she couldn't help but feel drawn to him.

For the first time in her life, someone had treated her with kindness and respect, without judging her for her past. Soliana had always felt like an outcast, but with this encounter, she felt like she finally had a place to belong. As she walked home, she couldn't shake the thought of the boy from her mind. Despite his lack of interest in her, she found herself falling for him. She didn't know if anything would come of it, but for the first time in her life, she felt a glimmer of hope and happiness.
