Title: The Two Anointings

There are two types of anointings that you and I need. When you receive an anointing, it is the placing of the supernatural over the natural. Anointing is truly supernatural, greater, and more powerful than the natural.

When you get anointed, something is done to you that gives you an advantage over physical and natural limitations. The supernatural is what goes beyond the natural.

The term "supernatural" combines two words:

1. Super

2. Natural

How can you bring about such an experience in your life, allowing both the super and the natural to operate, thus causing an anointing? The answer lies in placing the super over the natural. When you do this, you achieve:

1. A supernatural life

2. Supernatural experiences

3. Supernatural encounters

4. Supernatural discussions with the divine

The anointing is responsible for all these supernatural aspects. It is crucial to understand the need for two different anointings. Obtaining both anointings is vital, and having only one can be detrimental. The anointing you have might work against itself if it lacks the support of the other.

As spiritual beings residing in physical bodies, we need anointing for both our flesh and spirit. Many believe that anointing heals the sick and performs miracles, but they don't understand the difference between the two anointings.

There is an anointing you need even if you never visit a church or are not born again. As long as you bear responsibilities, an anointing is necessary, irrespective of church attendance or a personal relationship with God.

There is an anointing that makes you significant without requiring any relationship with God. Thus, being a spirit in a physical body, you need an anointing for both your physical and spiritual self.

**The Mystery of Anointing**

Acts 10:38 (KJV) states, “How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him.”

The anointed one was Jesus, specifically Jesus of Nazareth, referring to His flesh. Before delving into the anointing of Jesus, notice the word “How” in Acts 10:38. Many people miss understanding how God anoints.

The anointing is not the oil, even though we call it anointing oil. The oil is a medium God uses for anointing but is not the actual anointing. The anointing upon the oil makes it anointing oil. The oil must be anointed before it can anoint.

Acts 10:38 describes how God anointed Jesus with the Holy Spirit and power, not with oil.

Many Christians don't realize that Jesus is the Christ, which means the anointed and also the anointing itself. When you are born again and receive Him, you receive the anointing. Thus, every born-again Christian is anointed, regardless of the use of oil. Having Jesus within you means you are anointed. You cannot say you are not anointed if you are born again.

Why would there was a need for Kings to be anointed in the Bible?

Priests were anointed, kings were anointed, prophets were anointed and they would use oil.

Why anoint a person? When you are anointed, you are given an entitlement. Anointing is an authorization. There are things that you are not allowed to do unless oil touches you.

Leviticus chapter 7:33-35 / 7:27-33

It is the anointing on your life that qualifies you for the portion when everything is burnt.

You must understand when God gives you a portion from the sacrifice, what God is given to you is not given to you. God is not giving you money, car, Jets house. But God is giving the cars, Jets, house the money to the anointing.
