Title; THE SECRET OF MULTIPLICATION

For everything you desire, there's a way to pray. Prayer is strategic in nature. So, for every outcome you want, there is a formula to pray. Let me give you an example. I'll start with the prayer of Thanksgiving.

You see, if you don't pay attention to certain patterns, you miss it. That's why I'm telling you, we are obsessed with the results but not the formula. Let me give you an example from John 6:8-11.

Another of his disciples, Andrew, Simon Peter's brother, spoke up, 'Here is a boy with five small barley loaves and two small fish, but how far will they go among so many?' Jesus said, 'Have the people sit down.' There was plenty of grass in that place, and they sat down. About five thousand men were there. Jesus then took the loaves, gave thanks, and distributed to those who were seated as much as they wanted. He did the same with the fish. When they had all had enough to eat, he said, 'Stop right there. Thanksgiving multiplies what you have.'

Jesus didn't pray, 'Father, now your children are sitting down. Father, you know we need bread. Father, I pray in the name of Jesus, bread, multiply.' No! He took the bread, gave thanks, broke it into pieces. When people started taking it, he never ran out. You don't multiply things by praying.

Look at Jesus's prayer: 'Our Father who art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name, the kingdom come, thy will be done on Earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread.' There was no 'Father, open the doors of provision.' That's not a prayer point.

The prayer of Thanksgiving: 'Our Father who art in Heaven, your name is great, your kingdom come, your will be done on Earth as it is in heaven. Give us our bread.' The moment you thank God, provision is automatic. Multiplication is automatic. But you think God is hungry to be praised? No, God doesn't care if you praise him or not because it's God anyway. So, the prayer of Thanksgiving, giving thanks, brings multiplication.

That's what Hanna did. She said, 'You give me, I'll give you back. This will be my gratitude to you. You give me your child, I give him back to you, for he is yours. I don't even want it.' How many children did she have? The Bible says her womb was opened. Samuel wasn't the only one that came out of there.

Anyone who cannot thank God for what they have, it will never increase. You are thanking God for what will come. That's a mistake. You're out of touch. God always begins by multiplying what is in your hand. When Moses was with him, he asked, 'What is in your hand?' With the woman with the flour in the house, God asked her, 'Make sure what is in your house will not stop.'

You cannot recognize God for what he has given you. How can he remember? God doesn't give you something new; he increases what you have. No, God will not give you a new anointing; you just grow in it because what God gives you is sufficient. Paul said, 'Father, deliver me.' God said, 'My grace is sufficient.'

Whatever is in the hands of Jesus multiplies. This is why it is a requirement for you to learn to be content with what you have been given. That's why the Bible says, 'Do not despise the days of humble beginnings.' 'Oh, Father, thank you for this glass of water. There's somebody somewhere that cannot have this water. You've given me, Father, I prayed.’ You can't recognize God for things; that's why they can't multiply.

They said, 'Jesus, we need to send them somewhere else so they can get food for themselves.' You see, every time you have to live with what God gave you, you have to do it yourself. Do you realize Jesus never stopped the flow of fish? It's Peter who did, and his friends. When one fish came, so many; some fish were just diving in the net. They felt they were bought with fish. Another boat came; they filled it with fish. Their nets started breaking, and their boats started sinking. They said, 'Enough.' The presence of Jesus causes what you have to increase."
