Predatory For-Profit Colleges Can't Deliver on Empty Promises
Imagine being out of school for four years and trying to decide what to do with your life. You have had many interests over the years from criminal justice, graphic design, and digital photography. You've always felt a void in your life, like something was always missing, and you wanted to achieve that piece of paper that was your ticket to your dream job.

Welcome to College!
Starting a new school can always be difficult, but there's something about starting college that is infinitely more terrifying. It's often your first time living on your own, you're living in a new place, and there is much more freedom to choose. At least, that's what I thought going into college. The truth isn't quite what I thought it was. I should preface this, however, with the fact that I am going to city college currently and plan on transferring to a four year school later, so some things may be slightly different than for university students. Still, many things will hold true for both city college and university students.

Tips for High School Seniors/Incoming College Students
As I begin my journey as a freshman in college, it’s hard to believe that I was just starting as a senior in high school a year ago and that I graduated a few months ago. I thought of a few tips that could help seniors in high school succeed and live their best lives and to set themselves up for success before they have to face the real world, because it’s not all fun and games after high school.

To School or Not to School
I regret going back to college. There! I said it! I think I've just figured out in the last month that college isn't for me. Being in an overly structured environment where I can't think freely or be free just isn't for me. And I know that sounds like whiny millennial privilege, but it's true!

Crappy Advice from an American Teen
I guess I should start this by telling a little about myself. I’m pretty much just a messed-up kid from a small town in Georgia. I lived in one county pretty much my entire life, even though I’ve moved around quite a bit. I’ve been through some messed up stuff, but I never really let it hold me back. Many kids in my high school considered me smart, but I don’t know. I feel like I got into college on a fluke, but I plan on working as hard as I can to make sure I don’t screw up this chance I’ve been given.

Some Major Advice
During my four years in college, I've worn my way through three majors. I started with creative writing, and I loved it, but the thought of leaving school without "job opportunity" scared me so much that I made it my minor and switched to marketing. A year in marketing left me exhausted, with no joy for my major and dread in my heart at the thought of doing it for the rest of my life. I failed several classes, and I realized that having a major I hated wasn't worth my energy.

My First Year of University in a Nutshell
I write this stuck in a cave of revision notes, as it's—you guessed it—exam season! Even though I still have much to do (the biggest understatement) I can't help but reflect on my first year of university. For a background check: I'm currently studying in the U.K. as a Psychology undergraduate at the university of my dreams. It's pretty good, if we're referring to the league tables.

5 Reasons I Studied an Art Foundation. Top Story - September 2018.
So exactly a year ago tomorrow I moved 190 miles away from home to Leeds to study an art foundation degree at Leeds Arts university. I hadn't even considered a foundation and barely knew what it was about around a year and a half ago; so I'm writing this to inform and maybe even help others with their decisions if thinking about entering the creative industry.

On the College of Arts and Science
In regard to the colleges of arts, science, and business, there needs to be a change in the way in which the colleges interact. Currently, the college of nursing, business, engineering, and computer coding are taking the lead in highest grossing and most successful career fields. These are critical fields of study, but today I am advocating for the development of the funding for the College of Arts and Science.
