* Quaid-e-Azam's concept of national language *

From the pen: Ismat Osama.

The founder of Pakistan, Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, was a visionary leader who made history, very few leaders have gone through such a thing in human history!

His thinking, in terms of breadth, was for the welfare of the whole nation and for unity among Muslims. Just as Quaid-e-Azam's vision for Pakistan was very clear, Muslims in the subcontinent needed a separate state where To live their lives according to the golden teachings of Islam, they wanted to make Urdu the only national language of Pakistan so that mutual unity and solidarity could be created in the Pakistani nation. Be able and the English speaking class should not rule over them!

* Learned the sensitive way of speaking

We learned manners from the excuse of Urdu!

It is true that every language is the custodian of its culture, religion, history and values. To understand it, it is important to understand the historical background in which the Muslims of the subcontinent were engaged in the struggle for the establishment of Pakistan. The two non-Muslim nations have been united in Urdu animosity since the war of independence in 1857. Since the Urdu script is similar to Arabic and Persian, it is Nations were rising, in this context riots broke out on the Urdu-Hindi conflict in 1868. Then Hindu leader Jawaharlal Nehru in the Nehru Report also demanded that Hindi be given the status of national language in India. It is rightly said that the movement One of the main motives for the establishment of Pakistan was the "Urdu language" and the Quaid-e-Azam was well aware of this historical fact. In April 1900, the Governor of UP, Anthony MacDonald, passed a resolution approving the introduction of Hindi language and Devanagari script. At that time, Nawab Mohsin. Al-Mulk established the "Urdu Defense Council" to protect Urdu, the representative language of Muslims, and then the first Muslim political party, the Muhammadan Political Organization. As a result of his struggle, the All India Muslim League was formed in 1906, ie the role of Urdu language is prominent in fighting the case of Tehreek-e-Pakistan.

In 1940, after the adoption of the Pakistan Resolution, Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah declared:

The national language of Pakistan will be "Urdu" because Urdu is the only language of the subcontinent which has not only the great intellectual capital of the Muslims of the subcontinent in terms of religion, culture and literature but it is also the language of (mutual) communication. It must be given importance to the national language of Pakistan. "

Addressing the Punjab Urdu Conference yesterday in 1941, he said:

"Urdu is our national language. We must do our utmost to protect it from all kinds of harm, pollution and protect it from the aggressive and hostile intentions of the opponents."

After the formation of Pakistan, some elements wanted to use "Bengali" language instead of Urdu. The Quaid-e-Azam in his speech in Dhaka on March 21, 1948 said:

"I want to make it clear to you that the official language of Pakistan will be Urdu and only Urdu. There will be no language other than Urdu. Anyone who tries to mislead you is a real enemy of Pakistan. History bears witness to the fact that without a common official language no nation can be united and no one can work! "

He also said:

"In the history of any government of the world you will find only one national language, so from today onwards consider the question of national language of Pakistan and that our national language is Urdu" _ (Dhaka March 1948)

On March 24, 1948, he said:

"If the different parts of Pakistan are to unite and move forward on the path of development, then their official language can be the same and in my personal opinion Urdu and only Urdu!"

After the formation of Pakistan, the National Assembly of Pakistan had passed a law in February 1948 that Urdu would be the national language of Pakistan as per the decree of the Quaid.

At present, according to education experts, students can learn in their own language as well as in any other language, but not in any other language. National language status should also be given in the examinations of The effects of slavery and slavery on the English language should be removed so that our young generation can understand their intellectual heritage, history and culture and proudly adopt their national language. How easy it is to teach a foreign language skills like English, pay heavy tuition fees and then teach pronunciation! ۔ Many developed countries of the world like China, France, Russia and Japan have developed their own national language. We should also adopt our language collectively in this way. The language of science and technology should also be made accessible to the students. It is a welcome result of the continuous struggle of "Tehreek-e-Nifaz-Urdu-Pakistan" that the Supreme Court recently declared Urdu as the national language.
