Japanese people love cleanliness. Under their traditional "tatami" (bed), a neat mat is always laid out. They eat, sit, walk, and sleep on the mat, and they have a mysterious affection for the mat.

They religiously believe that under the mats live a large group of angelic goblins, who are the protectors of the Japanese people. They are most afraid that careless children will stain the mat and make it impossible for them to live in peace. However, there are also some lazy people among Japanese children.

Legend has it that a long time ago, there was a little slacker in Hokkaido, her name was Sadako.

Sadako has been rich since childhood, opening her mouth for food, stretching out her clothes, and surrounded by a large group of servants all day, as long as she coughs lightly, the servants will serve her comfortably.

The days passed so quickly, until she was seventeen years old, Sadako couldn't even wash her face and hands, and none of the young men in her neighborhood fell in love with her.

However, it really happened that once a famous samurai in Tokyo proposed to Sadako when he visited Sadako's father. Although the samurai was penniless, his bravery, his handsomeness, suddenly won the heart of the Sadako girl. Soon, they got married, away from their parents, and came to Tokyo.

It didn't matter if poor Sadako had no money, but the fact that After three meals a day, always throw the picked toothpick under the mat. Over time, a large pile of dirty and smelly toothpicks piled up under the mat, making the goblins restless.

Soon, the husband went on an expedition. Just after two o'clock on the first night, suddenly, Sadako was woken up by a strange sound.

In the dim light, she saw a large group of soldiers about an inch tall coming out neatly from under the mats, brandishing their swords, chanting words in their mouths, grinning at Sadako, and viciously slaughtering them.

"Ugh!" Sadako was shocked, it was too late to escape, and she quickly covered her head with a quilt. But it was too late, the dwarves had already rushed up and tore open the quilt, and countless combat knives killed Sadako, and her body was covered in wounds, and she fought hard to beat a batch away. Another batch, tossed like this for a whole night, Sadako was really scared.

In the future, every day like this, Sadako lost weight day by day, and her face was covered with terrifying shadows, but she did not dare to tell the people around her about this situation.

Half a month passed, and my husband finally returned. "Honey, what's wrong with you?" Seeing his beloved wife look like this, the husband asked anxiously, "What happened at home?"

Seeing her husband, Sadako could no longer hold back the fear and pain in her heart, and she cried and told the brave samurai what happened.

"I'm hiding in the closet tonight, let me clean up these brats!" The husband's decisiveness finally calmed the wife.

the servants who served her all day made it difficult for her to move because she couldn't even wash her hands. So she just lay dry every day, like a dying patient, completely served by her husband.

Late at night, the samurai hiding in the closet saw the scene that Sadako said again. He rushed forward with a roar, his majesty shocking the short samurai, who were terrified and finally revealed their original form.

"Hah! It turned out to be a bunch of dirty toothpicks!" The samurai shouted, and the joy of victory showed a look of contempt and surprise. "Who threw this toothpick?" He asked aloud. But he couldn't get an answer. Because the answer was hidden in Sadako's heart, she was so ashamed that her face turned red and she silently lowered her head.

What's going on here? It turns out that the goblins cast spells and turned these toothpicks into samurai to tease the slacker Sadako.

At this moment, the wife's confession all fell into the eyes of the goblins, and they left satisfied.

Sure enough, since then, Sadako has changed and become diligent. There were no more dirty toothpicks she threw under the mat.

The goblins didn't make any more moves.
