My Passion for English and Teaching.
Ever since I’ve had the ability to comprehend the English language, I have been utterly galvanized by it. I remember when I was just five years old, I would go to my grandparents after school on Tuesdays (the day my parents worked late) and I’d clasp my hand around my grandad’s arm and drag him into their garage. The garage was gargantuan compared to me who was tiny. The icy, concrete floor appeared dismal but the multi-colored chalks my grandad owned didn’t. They invigorated my fingers to detain them in my hands and doodle on the garage ground.

Help me help you
I became a librarian 13 years ago for many reasons, but the most important reason of all is because I believe that my mission is to help alleviate suffering by connecting people to the information they need in order to live better lives. Suffering can take many forms, from mild to severe: “Why does my piecrust always turn out tough and how can I fix it?” does not have the same weight as “I don’t know how to apply for nutrition assistance to feed my hungry children” but all people deserve answers to their questions - whether they are trivial or substantial - in order to try to solve their own problems, and that starts with information. When totalitarian regimes attempt to control populations for their own ends, they often begin by destroying universities, museums, and libraries, for these are the repositories of knowledge that give people a sense of their own history and the possibilities of the future; and most importantly, they are full of vital sources of information people can use to shape their own destinies. There is nothing more important than ensuring people have unfettered access to information.

Wellness
The thing I am the most passionate about is helping others. As silly as it sounds, my motto since a young age has always been that it is every human’s duty to leave the world in a better place than they found it. Although this is such a cheesy disney channel type of passion, It is the only blanket suitable to fill the long roles of my courses of studies and passions.

Small Suburban Farm
As my Garden Grows Passion is what flows out of you, engulfs you, and brings out pleasure for people in the world to delight in. Passion is what makes other people believe and what to help others. Passionate is one word that describes me in everything I do. Growing and learning is a passion of mine. Growing from a seed and to produce something from it is mystifying and a wonder to people. I'm passionate about growing my own food and learning from it along the way. I have grown my garden a little more and more every year. Learning to be bold and when not to along the way in the best reward as the growing season unfolds each year.

Teach Others to Think
I am passionate about art, but many people can say they are. What makes me different is I am passionate about making people THINK about MAKING art. My students have to Think when they create and it’s frequently a hard process the first couple of times, then they learn to love learning how to think for themselves. My students literally follow me from school to school. During the summer school program, I was wondering why I had students from my old school literally 100 blocks away so I started asking them why they were there and they said “you”. They missed me pushing them, making them think. Even though I’m the art teacher I make them think harder than anyone else and they love it.

Reading Is a Superpower
Like so many millions of other people out there, I’ve always loved reading. Books were a lifeline that I clung to when I was little. My mom and dad divorced when I was a toddler, so every time I was shuffled back and forth between my parents' houses and their drastically different worlds, my books were what comforted me and felt familiar. I hid in stories; my best friends were characters in novels, and I’d rather sit in the closet and read than go to the park or out to eat. I learned how to read very early on thanks to my very dedicated mother who would read to me for hours and hours and hours, and I continued to love books so much that I decided to study them.

Why is there such a lack of industry knowledge among up and comers in the music, film and entertainment industry as a whole? There are probably a lot of reasons but frankly speaking there aren't enough tools in place for those who are trying to break into these industries even in this age of technology. Accessibility is the main point of technology in many fields of opinion but when it comes to How to create a portfolio? or How to interpret a recording contract? or even simply When and Why you may need a manager? There's few if any YouTube videos uploaded explaining these need-to-know topics.

A Desperate Assignment
Do not underestimate the power of a school assignment. When I was a sophomore in high school, my English teacher wanted to dip into everyone’s creative side. The assignment was to write a story of your own creation. It only had to be at least one handwritten page. That may seem like nothing to some, but the teacher was having trouble getting assignments submitted by a portion of the class. With this assignment, he just wanted "something". Anything!

Geography is My Life
Geography is a subject that is fulfilling because I have a passion to learn about places and their culture. A lot can be learned from shows like “Aerial Views,” and even just traveling. When an overnight stay is required, I always take note of the hotels available. Researching restaurants and menus for the area is also interesting. If I meet a person, I have asked them where they are from. If I am curious about the place, I will later research the city, just to know about it. There have been times I have met a person, and when they tell me where they are from, I will already be familiar with the city. They are pretty astonished by what I know about their city in terms of what county it is in, whether it is the county seat, the state it is in, and whether or not it is a suburb. Sometimes, I have gotten it incorrect.
