The iPad Mini 6th generation poses many possibilities because it no longer has a home button and is built like a mini iPad Air.

Factors that will be accessed:

  1. Price
  2. Processors and Performance
  3. Design
  4. Storage Options
  5. Accessories

1. Price

The iPad Mini 6th generation has an incredible price starting at $499. It’s just a small iPad, so why is it so expensive? This little iPad costs more than the base model iPad starting at $309 and it is larger. Apple did have to cram a lot of tech into one little iPad, so the process of making the iPad is probably where the price comes from.

2. Processors and Performance

This iPad doesn’t have the processor like the newer iPad Air and iPad Pros. The newest iPad Mini has an A15 Bionic chip, so it’s not exactly a smaller iPad Air. Like I said, though, it is very hard to cram huge tech in such a little space. If you have an iPad Air or iPad Pro, then you will find how much slower this iPad is compared to the better iPad models, but don’t let that discourage you. This mini iPad is very portable and doesn’t need to be extremely fast to get the job done.

3. Design

The new iPad Mini is compared a lot to the iPad Air 4 and 5 models, because there is touch ID in the power button and has the same camera as the iPad Air.

The iPad Mini has an 8.3 inch Liquid Retina Display much like the new iPad Air and iPad Pro 11 inch, which makes the iPad mini great to watch content because the colors are very accurate in this little device.

This mini iPad uses a usb-c charger to charge the iPad as well just like the iPad Air and iPad Pros.

Colors are a deal breaker and are very hard to choose because there are so many colors for this iPad like the iPad Air. The iPad Mini has 4 colores, space gray, pink, purple, and starlight.

4. Storage Options

The iPad Mini only has 2 storage options that are just like the iPad Air. It has a $499 64 gigs option and a $599 256 gigs option. These are the cheaper options because they are wifi only options.

5. Accessories

The Apple Store doesn’t have very many accessories for this iPad since it is very small. It does use the Apple Pencil 2 generation with a separate purchase that connects magnetically just like the iPad Air and Pros. You can also buy a smart folio from the Apple Store that also connects to the iPad magnetically. There aren’t any keyboard cases for this iPad in the Apple Store since the keyboard would be too small and wouldn’t have the correct keys needed for a functional keyboard. You can buy a keyboard case from amazon or a bluetooth keyboard and mouse like the Logitech k380 keyboard and mouse combo.

Conclusion

An iPad Mini 6th generation would be well worth it for a student or for someone who likes to pull out a sketchbook and make a quick doodle or quick note. There is not a lot of space to use split view while taking notes, but if you are on the go and like something portable to sketch and be able to take school notes, this iPad with 64 gigabytes will be very good for you to store and save some money. If you are the kind of person who does not travel a lot and draws or takes notes frequently, an iPad Air will be the best option for you.
