What to do after Neet result

Due to the pandemic, this year's Neet exam is held in September and so resulting Neet counselling 2020 will most likely to happen in October.

Students who cleared the Neet as per NTA cutoff will be eligible for Neet counselling procedure .

MCC (Medical Counselling Committee) will conduct the Neet Counselling 2020, as we know NTA does do it by itself.

Neet counselling procedure

Neet Counselling 2020 is divided into 2 parts

As we know the State quota contains 85% medical seats so it is conducted by their respective states, while AIQ contains the remaining 15% seats so it is conducted by MCC.

Neet counselling procedure for AIQ

As i already told you above NEET counselling in India divided into 2 parts,

First one is All India Quota (AIQ) for 15% seats all over in India conducted by MCC itself.

While another is State level Quota for 85% total in all states in India and conducted by those specific states only.

Students who want to participate in NEET AIQ counselling can follow these steps of process.

Step 1. New Candidates registration

Neet candidates who are qualified for counselling need to go to the MCC official website ( https://mcc.nic.in/UGCounselling/ ) in order register themself for AIQ counselling.

By registering themselves students are eligible for admission in MBBS/ BDS seats in government and private medical colleges across the country under All India Quota.

Here's the steps

Click on UG medical counselling

Click on "New Registration" on left side menu

You need to enter the following details in the New Registration Form

And then create a password combination of letters, numbers and symbols.

Then submit, after that you will get OTP on your mobile number for verification.

That's all, you registration process is completed .

Time to go on next step

Step 2. Screenshot or Printout of Registration Slip

After the registration, students can see their information on the screen about their details and login id.

I Am recommending you to take a screenshot or print out this information for future reference.

Step 3. Login and Fill choices for Neet Counselling

Now login to your newly registered account using the userid (which is your roll no.) and same password that you used for registration.

Once you logged in, click on "Choice Available" option

The system will automatically show you all the available choices for you.

Check the list of colleges and click on "Choice Filling", then on + symbol to select the colleges.

Step 4. Mock Allotment

After you submit the choice fillings, soon the system will show you mock seat allotment information.

And here you will know whether you will get the seat as per your details or not.

Trust me this step is very helpful.

Step 5. Choice Locking

On the step students need to confirm their filled choice information and step mock allotment and then lock the choices.

Once it's locked you cannot unlock it for any change so make sure to confirm everything before you lock it.

Neet counselling procedure for State Quota Seats

For 85% seats in state medical colleges, Students need to go to their respective state colleges to fulfil the procedure.

Note: Students need to contact their state colleges to get all information regarding admission because Neet counselling for State quote is only done by themselves.

  • Category Certificate (If Applicable)
  • Passport size photograph (Six)
  • High School & Intermediate Mark Sheets

  • Provisional Allotment Letter
