Chicken breast with baked pepper sauce

A good sauce enhances any piece of meat, helps it to be tender and juicy and does not dry out during cooking, which is a common problem, especially if we are talking about chicken meat. Brisket, in particular, has a tendency to dry out if not cooked properly, so this roasted pepper sauce recipe saves you from that unpleasant situation.

Roasted pepper gives a special flavor to the meat and the flavors combine perfectly, especially if we are talking about freshly roasted pepper, and not from the freezer. You'll get a delicious sauce that's good for dipping with fresh bread in it.

Ingredients

  • 500 g piept de pui
  • 5-6 ardei grași copți
  • 2 cepe
  • 3 căței de usturoi
  • 2 roșii
  • 2-3 linguri de ulei
  • un cubuleț unt
  • sare
  • piper
  • boia
  • 150 ml smântână lichidă
  • verdeata pentru decor

Method of preparation

  • If the peppers are not already roasted, roast them directly on the flame or in the oven, and after they are roasted, sprinkle salt over them. Let them cool and clean them of the skin and seeds, after which you can cut them into strips.
  • Portion the chicken into bite-size pieces and heat the pan with oil and butter. Add the chicken and brown for a few minutes on each side. The meat does not have to be completely cooked because it will continue to cook in the sauce anyway, but to get that browned taste and appearance.
  • When the meat is browned, put it aside from the heat and, in the same pan, put the finely chopped onion and garlic. Let them simmer while you peel the tomatoes and cut them into cubes. Add the chopped roasted pepper and tomatoes to the pan, season with salt and pepper, and when the sauce is boiling, add the chicken back in.
  • Top up with water if needed and cover with a lid. Simmer for 20-30 minutes, or until the meat is well done. Finally, add the paprika. Further, you can leave the sauce as it is, if you like the texture, or you can puree it with a blender. Turn off the heat and add the liquid cream. Mix and mash the sauce, if you want it to be as smooth as possible, if not, serve the dish as it is.
  • Chicken with roasted pepper sauce can be served plain or with mashed potatoes, rice or whatever you like.

Chicken breast with cream sauce

Pieces of chicken wrapped in a silky and aromatic cream sauce. A quick and filling meal, to be served with a steaming mamaliguta or a corner of fresh and crispy bread.

Ingredients

  • 550 gr chicken breast
  • 400 gr sour cream
  • 1 onion
  • 3 tablespoons of flour
  • 500 ml of water
  • Vegeta seasoning to taste
  • ground pepper to taste
  • 3 tablespoons of oil
  • salt to taste

Method of preparation

  • Cut the chicken breast into cubes and fry in a little oil, until it takes on color.
  • Cut the onion into small cubes and add it over the chicken breast. Saute together for a bit, then add vegetables to taste and 250 ml of water. Put the lid on and let it cook on low heat for 20 minutes.
  • Dissolve the flour with the rest of the water, mixing well, so that there are no lumps. Add the cream and everything is homogenized.
  • Carefully pour the cream and flour mixture over the chicken and mix gently. Boil until the sauce thickens, stirring constantly. If the sauce is too thick, add a little more water and bring to a boil again.
  • Suitable for salt and pepper.
  • It is served hot, garnished with parsley leaves.
