There are many issues that are affecting our society today. All the issues that are affecting our society also affect our youth and adolescents alike. Some of these issues include the climate crisis, worsening mental health, and the rising cost of living.

Imagine being born in a peaceful world and finding out that before you were in your twenties or even your thirties. That world would not really exist anymore - everything would be so polluted that apparently you wouldn't be able to live outside and there'd be other issues like less land because it's all underwater. This is the reality that lots of teenagers have come to because of the negative effects of climate change. Lots of teenagers have made efforts to stop this issue and stop our world from being destroyed and become inhabitable for human beings to live. Around 2030 to 2040 lots of scientists and other media predict that climate change will be irreversible. And all the negative consequences that our parents and grandparents have created would have an everlasting effect on our lives and our kids, and there's nothing we can do about it. All of the negative effects from climate change continue to leave a drastic negative mental impact on youth and teenagers to this day.

Climate change also impacts the mental health of adolescents. You would figure adolescents are living their lives in peace and harmony and not having to be stressed about the world until they're legal adults. In reality they are faced with the constant mental stress of knowing that our planet and society could collapse at any day. All of these negative effects of the environment along with other problems have caused a drastic increase in mental stress. The amount of teenagers and young children who have been diagnosed with anxiety and depression in the last 20 years has increased. An effect of this is a constant need for mental health professionals and healthcare workers to combat the worsening mental health of these teenagers.

All of the negative mental health of teenagers along with climate change has a negative impact on our economy. The effects on the healthcare system is affecting the cost of living and the cost of basic resources such as food, water and housing. This makes it less affordable for the average person to get a home, let alone a secondary education after high school. Its economic impact will also not only affect the teenagers of today but also affect the teenagers of tomorrow and our economy for the future.

Many think that the environmental damage will be irreversible before we become adults. The emotional negative impact of all of these problems that youth and teenagers have to face will to a degree, be irreversible and will forever change our society.
