Cheap Destinations to Travel

Many times when we think of traveling we imagine that we have to be millionaires to make this dream come true.

But it's not like that.

Although the Colombian peso has lost strength and every day seems to lose ground against the dollar, there are many destinations that are not expensive and to which you can travel.

These are destinations where, regardless of the currency in circulation, lodging, meals, and attractions are on average cheaper than many places. This does not mean that they are less attractive, fun and pleasant.

But before talking about them, there are several aspects that you have to take into account:

• The plane ticket can be expensive due to the distance or the time of the journey, but when you arrive at those destinations you will realize that there you do not have to spend so much on food, lodging and even on beer.

• The prices you will see are an average that can serve as a reference for you to plan very well the amount you need to save.

• The most important thing is that you save within a budget. This means that you plan where you are going to stay, what tastes and luxuries you are going to give yourself and what places you are going to visit so you do not run out of budget during your trip.

Tunisia

It is a beautiful destination if you want to know the Mediterranean Sea and part of the majestic Sahara desert.

You will also delve into its history and the friendliness of its inhabitants.

We recommend you explore the alleys of the city of Tunis, the remains of the ancient city of Carthage and enjoy the coast of Sidi Bou Said.

An average night in Tunisia has a cost of COP $67,000 and a very cheap local meal costs about COP $7,000

Malaysia

This country is located in Southeast Asia and is a country with many cultures that mixes Chinese and Hindu, and Malay and Muslim.

In Malaysia you can get to know modern metropolises and admire the Petronas Twin Towers in Kuala Lumpur, tour the art and discover fabulous restaurants in George Town.

Malaysia also has beautiful beaches like Pulau Kapas where you can have a great diving experience.

A night in a hostel can cost you around COP $40,000, a meal can cost COP $10,000 and a beer in a bar COP $13,000

Turkey

This European country has a great history for having been the territory of many Eastern and Western civilizations.

This has developed different traditions that are perceived in the food, the architecture, the bazaars and squares and the ruins of the Greeks and Romans that are part of its tourist attraction.

The Turks are friendly people that you should know just like the mosques and markets of Istanbul. In addition, you must fly in a balloon over Cappadocia and bathe in the thermal pools of Pamukkale.

A night in a hostel in Turkey can cost about COP $44,000, meals in cheap places average COP $17,000 and a beer costs about COP $7,000

Peru

This neighboring country has a lot to show you. In addition to knowing wild beaches, impressive mountains and the most characteristic of the pre-Columbian Inca culture, you can enjoy one of the best cuisines in the world, which has made Peru have many 'lovers'.

In Peru you will discover the mysterious Machu Picchu, you will be able to see condors in the Colca Canyon and as we already mentioned, try those unique dishes such as ceviche or ají de gallina.

An average night in Peru costs about COP $40,000 and delicious food can cost $7,000 per plate in popular places (which are the best).
