USA:
The US was originally founded by Englishmen, Dutchmen, Frenchmen, Germans, Spanish,
Italians, Irish, and men from many different European cultures. America is known to have been
a very open society. We were a country of immigrants and welcomed people from around the
world who wanted to live freely. Many different religions have flourished in our land. We've
had a strong tradition of individual liberty and democracy. Our founding fathers believed that
we were created equal and that was written into our constitution. Today, the United States of
America is a vibrant nation of 300 million people who love their freedom. The United States
has been at the forefront of progressive thought since its inception. We're a great example of
what happens when people decide to take back their self-governance. If others want to learn
about how to do the same thing, then we'll show them how it's done. If you want to leave
America, then go ahead! But if you choose to stay here, then you need to respect us, and our
way of life. You may not always agree with ours, but you don't get to dictate our way of life.
Canada:
Canada is a beautiful country. Its vast territory and natural resources consist of mountains,
forests, lakes, rivers, and oceans. Canada's landscape is diverse; in fact, it is considered to be
one of the most culturally diverse places on Earth. Canadians enjoy their freedoms and rights
immensely. Not only are they guaranteed these rights, but they hold on to them dearly. As long
as people respect each other and follow the laws set forth by a government, then everything
will be fine. You might think that someone else would come along and start dictating Canadian
law, but that isn't the case. The rule of law holds firm in Canada. The government doesn't just
make laws; they enforce them. A citizen cannot break the law without being punished. The
police force ensures that you obey the law and keep yourself safe. In addition to having a
well-established rule of law, Canada is home to some of the finest universities in the entire
world. Universities allow students to pursue their passions and study whatever subject they
wish. Whether you want to become a doctor, lawyer, teacher, engineer, artist, musician, or
anything in between, University of Toronto, McGill University, University of British Columbia,
University of Waterloo, University of Victoria, University of Calgary, Ryerson University,
Dalhousie University, University of Saskatchewan, University of Alberta, Concordia University,

Polytechnique de Montréal, University of Ottawa, etc., are some examples of great institutions
that offer top-notch education. These schools are truly some of the best educational facilities
