It’s Not Over…

From a stardust being to earth.

Life is set on to be continued.

In the beginning, growing up Monique always felt different from her family and the world around her. She was a curious youngling whom would keep her eyes in the sky and wonder what was out there. Yearning for more in life, while feeling out of place. Young enough to know she couldn’t fly on her own, but wise enough to know that there were endless possibilities to life and what could become of her. Monique often wondered why she chose to ascend from her stardust-self to an earthly being and select the family she channeled into, given the dis-functionality and historical trauma she would inevitably need to overcome.

Yet, she was content with her decision before she was even born. Perhaps the physical attributes and grit for exploration and lifelong learning, she would genetically inherit from some unknown ancestors, were forgotten factors in the decision making process. Monique endured many early childhood hardships from molestation and foster care, to a kidnapped sex trafficking young adulthood traumatic experience; in which, the FBI had to intervene and save her. Still, as she utilized what was not known as a scientific term at the time, her superhero psychological thought powers, to navigate these processes and strive towards better life experiences; she soon beat the stereotypical outcomes of one who have endured such hardships. Monique outwardly successfully obtained four college degrees, with one of them being a double Master’s degree in Science, a Vice President of a non-profit board for girls* of color, and in upper management in her career field. It was not an easy task as she inherited a healthy amount of American student loan debt, became a divorcée and a single woman along this path, she still yearned for more in life.

As most of the world went into panic mode during the Covid-19 pandemic outbreak, Monique felt in her outwardly avatar body and through her skin, her hair rise as if she felt a calm spirit swiftly gaze pass her, that she would be okay and it was time to buckle down and execute towards un-completed goals. She always had this wisdom to her that was not easy to explain to others. Monique, felt as if she could foresee when or if she would be in danger and when to exit a situation stage left, so to speak. You see, Monique did not put worldly possessions on a high peddle stool because she had attended too many funerals to understand that these items were meaningless at the end, but she knew the value of money as she would embrace this social construct to create new environmental experiences, to build upon her avatar earthly portfolio.

The logical next question one may ask is: Is Monique spiritual or religious; does she believe in a higher being? And, the answer is “absolutely”! What’s interesting about this answer is that it is not in the sense one may think. Monique literally understands that she was created by a higher being and believes all humans must answer to this being once we ascend back into the form we came from. With that being said, she believes that prayer brings hope and manifests’ our external environment and experiences. The Power of the spoken word, that is. The Mind, Body, and Holy Spirit. With action by putting in the work, we can all experience true joy and bring joy to others. Ultimately, she does not subscribe to a religious home or building community.

As an audience of a good read, do you often or even seldomly feel connected to the author? When and if this happens to you, is it a good or bad feeling? For the most part, it is believed that when we feel connected to what we’re reading, good or bad, the output of this connection translates to a higher percentage probability of an enlightened deepness confirming that we are not alone in our experiences. Knowing that we are not alone, is the feeling Monique experiences with her spiritual beliefs and this is a driving force to how she interacts with and perceives the world around her.

Thus, now that we have captured her beginning experiences along the spectrum of life, what happens in the end? Does Monique conquer a deeper level of self actualization; does she accomplish the next level of goals and live beyond the pandemic? Well, this story is still being written and life is to be continued as the world of today is currently still in the midst of the pandemic. The relatable question is, how will your story end?
