Consciousness

When we find ourselves in the Spiritual path, we get to a place where we are aware, present and continuously evolving and it is then natural to come to the stage of consciousness. The most incredible, infallible and exciting stage to reach and to act from is the conscious stage. From consciousness we can build a life full of joy, pleasantness, wellbeing and pure love for our lives. Then, the question comes: What is Consciousness? And, this is how I live it and how I understand its meaning.

The intrinsic nature of a fruit bearing plant is, by its own volition, to give fruits in its season. The natural beauty and intelligence of this process can escape the attention of passersby. From germination to fruit there is an intrinsic intelligence that leads to growth. This natural creative intelligence that leads to growth is Consciousness.

Similar to a tree that bears fruits, Human beings also have a natural intrinsic intelligence of their own. However, our volition is of a different quality. While a plant's volition to grow is embedded in its seed, our volition to grow has come with an inner intelligence, which is aside the pure creative intelligence of nature. This is the kind of volition that needs to be consciously exercised.

In other words, we are a lucky bunch. We have been bestowed with not only intrinsic natural creative intelligence, but with an intelligence that is unique to our human species.

You may know this, dinosaurs roamed the land for over 200 million years before extinction, but somehow they never evolved to more capable creatures. Humans, on the other hand, have evolved from caves to Wi-Fi incredibly and unbeatably in a few thousand years. No other species on Earth has had this chance, just us.

But, somehow, this is of no consequence. We walk the land just like dinosaurs did 65 millions years ago. Eating unconsciously, walking without a sense of direction, fighting each other, and dying.

What is the use of been bestowed with a second nature intelligence? What is the use if Consciousness is never touched? Without awareness of what makes us unique we are no better than a fruit bearing tree or a dinosaur. In reality, we are not better than a plant and no better than anything else in creation. It is just that everything else in nature is growing as per their capacity and level of intelligence and we are not. We are suffering our own intelligence instead.

A conscious being is aware of his capacity and level of evolution. A conscious being uses his capacity fully and in sensible ways. A conscious being does not degrade the land and overuses its natural resources. A conscious being is aware of his unique faculties and opportunities for growth. A conscious being does not use his intelligence against himself and his own species.

Consciousness has become a theme of debate, laboratory, science quest, and misunderstandings. Many are on a quest to literally touch it and access it because somehow there is a natural instinctive pull towards it.

But, Consciousness can not be touched, smelled, tasted, seen or heard. This is not the way. Consciousness is the intrinsic intelligence of creation that leads to growth. If you can touch this growth, you can know Consciousness.

Living conscious means doing the best at all times for you and for everyone around you. Not only in your home, jobs, cities, countries, but also worldwide. It means to live daily through common sense and with a natural truth that is not debatable and cant be contradictory for all we do is towards the wellbeing of Life. Consciousness brings us to a level of evolution that allows for a life without friction, entrapments, woes, sorrows, worries and debates. One lives the most beautiful and perfect Life from a place of constant excitment and exaltation.

Consciousness is the seat of Enlightenment.
