The producers of "The Blacklist" should have let well enough alone. The main cast seem tired and slow, the new additions to the Blacklist team are better than the originals still left in the series.

What has really turned me off further is the new villains that that Netflix has brought in to be Blacklisters. The Chinese villains are almost comical, especially the leader of this inane group. He plays high stakes poker drinking a Martini. Really? He does not look intimidating and nor does his pose. The biggest joke of all is the woman who plays a medical Doctor who went to jail and was made to escape to torture Dembe. She is a cheap speaking Eartha Kitt. She has little to know acting skills.

Speaking of Dembe, having him become a FBI agent was one of the worst creative decisions made for the show. In fact the producers have flubbed many things... many of the actors brought to the show, the character choices and where the show went with the people trying to kill "Red".

in the shows finale season it is" Red " himself who is slow and sluggish. Yes Spader is a great actor and we still feel his authoritative presence. however, he is much slower, more lethargic and he doesn't carry a gun it seems anymore. He is still quick witted still, his banter with the new M116 agent who has joined the team is very good.

What this season lacks in particular is the stories, that the Blacklist team still doesn't fully trust Red but seem to not even question his motives or what crimes he is committing. The series seems to sanitized and it has become weak this season.

Theater upcoming shows on Broadway: Doubt at American Airlines Theater, The Notebook, Water for Elephants, Enemy of The People, The Who's Tommy, The Outsiders, Lempicka, Suffs, Hells Kitchen, Heart of Rock and Roll, The Wiz, Cabaret, Mary Jane starring Rachel McAdams, Uncle Vanya at Lincoln Center, Mother Play will start in April, Home will be at American Airline Theater after Doubt concludes; A Sign of The Times has started previews at The New World Stages.

This season looks to be a very good one. Off Broadway looks pretty good as well; Cynthia Nixon will play at Pershing Square, previews have started already. Jelly's Last Jam is at City Center, Brooklyn Laundry is also playing at The City Center. Illinoise at the beautiful Park Avenue Armory comes in in March. A play that I read a few years ago: Philadelphia Here I come at The Irish Rep is coming in March. Right now Hamlet at The Greenwich House with Eddie Izzard is being played now. Like Great Expectations, Izzard plays all the roles. King Lear is currently at St. Clements Theater in mid town; it has an all star cast and I am looking forward to seeing it.

At the World Trade Center there are some great shows coming out in the near future. Lawrence Fishburne will be coming in March in a solo show. Also, there are a lot of good shows out of state as well. McCarter Theater in Princeton will be performing Dreamgirls, Lincoln Center will also have many great performances at the Philharmonic as well as the Koch.
