Excuse Me! That is NOT Yours! Put it Down!
Yesterday a friend and fellow Vocal creator saw that a deeply personal story of theirs, one that was a recent Top Story and one filled with their most vulnerable thoughts, was plagiarized and reposted on Vocal. Although they had already reported it, I went and did so, too, in solidarity.

What's Wrong With Asking Women About Their Age?
Age has always been a touchy subject, especially when it comes to women. For generations, society has ingrained in us the idea that a woman's age is something to be hidden, guarded, and even embellished. But why is that? What's wrong with asking a woman about her age? In this article, we'll delve into the social stigma surrounding this seemingly innocent question and explore whether it's time to rethink our perspectives.

Lightscape: in Review
What is it about lights we love so much? Ultrasonic oil diffusers light up, but it does not add to the ability to diffuse oil. It is merely for ambiance. In a day and age where very few houses in developed areas are without electricity, we spend an awful lot of money on unnecessary candles and fancy accessories. There are entire streets festooned in lights for months every year for Christmas. I’m not sure about other countries, but we Aussies love our Chrissy light completions. And what party is complete without party lights? A friend of mine is starting a business designing and supplying custom neon lights to the public rather than just other businesses (there was a hole in the market, she and her husband plan to rectify it).

Harvestman?
A few months ago, I participated in the 'Dancing with Distraction' acrostic poem challenge here on Vocal. One of my submissions, "The Snapper and My Confidence," actually got Top Story, which was so very cool! Moreover, it received a lot of very kind comments.

Critique Wanted: A Filipino Vampire Story
In my Chapters entry, I explained the need to establish a background and motivation for my heroine, Karmila. I described how her journey would feel incomplete without a story exclusively devoted to her, narrated in her preferred style. This short story is what I envisioned in my mind's eye back in 2016 while waiting for the bus to commence a long journey, including crossing the ocean, on my way back home. I am seeking critique and advice. To gain a deeper understanding of Karmila's character, I recommend reading this: Memoirs of a Vampire: A Background

Stop all storms.
As a vessel for the purpose of the project to make the world better again the Lords Commanded the Sea to return to the Kingdom of Heaven for litigation against the damage caused to mankind, the Earth and the covenant made to Noah, which we brought before the council of Jacob, Abram, Isaiah, Arron as script writer to this story of redemption and salvation of the human Race being witness to this event, in October 2023, Rachel knew that she had to put this revelation in a separate document and hide it under the title of Nostradamus in the 20th Century.

The Cloud Lasso
The Cloud Lasso is written by Eden Jones and my question is 'Who would like to have a cloud for a friend? This is a children's picture book about a little monster named 'Little Monster'. This is a story that is all about keeping and making new friends and finding an interest from arts and crafts to sports to dancing. Little Monster has a decision to make. The artwork is quite whimsical in nature and if you would look closer it would seem like they were painted on canvas for you can see brushstrokes. This is a great beginning reader for the typeface is large and a lot of repetition of a certain phrase.

The Hooded Sweefa
The Hooded Sweefa is written by A.M. Seifried and is a children's picture book that is about imagination. The characters of Sweefa and Nessa are suppose to have jobs of doing away with evil and bringing love to all good and bad. This is a story that sweet but a bit of sour. To me it is like a beginning mystery for very young readers for Sweefa and Nessa must figure our what Frakin wants all the nuts. The term 'justice' is introduced to readers.

Humphrey's night out The Adventures of Humphrey the Guinea Pig
Humphrey's night out The Adventures of Humphrey the Guinea Pig is written by Christopher Weedon and illustrated by Sandra Weedon of Great Britain. This is the story of Humphrey and his journey at night as he visits and explores his outside environment. It is also a story of friendship and sharing interests. The drawings uses the various tones and hues of colors and looked as if they were done with crayons, but they are really good in my opinion for kids will really like this story. There are questions in the back of the book to start discussions and to check for understanding and listening skills. Even adults could learn something from this story.
