As a history book with the purpose of supporting governance, the real historical records and a large number of words on governance make people have the significance of reference after reading. Zhizhi Tongjian is an ancient history book, naturally written in classical Chinese, if one wants to improve the ability of classical Chinese, very suitable for reading. For a while, I listened to other people's advice and read Liaozhai in order to improve my classical Chinese ability, but I gave up halfway through. Probably this kind of writing, writing history and prose are good, writing novels is not suitable. Some books need to be read slowly, and Zhizhi Tongjian is a great work of history, like a palace.
