Nicole Lovell

A young Virginia teen girl finds love on the App. They met up for a "date" until she was found murdered and her murderer was her date and his friend.

Nicole "Coley" Madison Lovell was born on May 3, 2002, in Radford City, Virginia to her parents: Tammy Bell Weeks and William James Lovell, Sr. According to her mom, she never had a relationship with her father because William has been in and out of jail and barely sees Nicole. Tammy has been working as a nurse while Nicole stays with her grandparents while she works. Throughout her adolescence, Lovell faced bullying, severe depression, and feeling unloved. Lovell would sign up on social media like Facebook, Instagram, and Kik.

She used her social media status in hopes of finding a boyfriend until she met a guy under the username "Dr_Tombstone"on Kik messenger. According to one of Lovell's friends, she told them about an older guy she has talking to on social media. But on Kik as well as other social media platforms, including Instagram and Facebook, she found the self-confidence boost she desired, reportedly flirting with strangers and sharing flirty pictures. She was also a member of several 'teen dating' Facebook groups. Her friends were extremely upset and begged her not to talk to him. But she didn't care she continued with her "online love" until January 27, 2016.

January 27, 2016

On the night of January 27, 13-year-old Nicole Lovell was at home communicating with a "friend” she met on the Kik App. They arranged to meet somewhere on a date. She takes her cell phone and her Minion blanket hops out of the window and leaves. Tammy grew concerned and went to her room. Her nightstand was blocking the door, pushed it aside, found Lovell gone and medication in the house. While the police were on the search finding Nicole, police were investigating her personal social media accounts and one of her friends told the police that she had a secret boyfriend she had been talking to on social media and went on a secret date before she snuck out.

January 2016

Days after she was reported missing, Lovell's body was found at North Carolina border on Route 89 in Surry County 80 miles south of her home. A medical examiner testified that she had 14 stab wounds, including a lethal wound to her neck. At the press conference, BPD confirmed that it had recovered the deceased remains of Lovell just past the North Carolina border on Route 89 in Surry County, according to Blacksburg Chief of Police Anthony Wilson. Lovell was first reported to have been found dead in a Facebook post made by her father David Lovell in the afternoon hours of Saturday.

"Devestad to learn that my daughter has been found dead! I'm so in shock I know nothing more to say"

James's Facebook Post

"Dr_Tombstone" (Nicole's "boyfriend") was identified as 19-year-old Virginia Tech freshman David Eisenhauer, an athletic promising young man who admitted to talking to Nicole and claims that she lied about her age and he met her. Eisenhauer "warned" Lovell that if he keeps communicating with her she will be harmed. Before he committed the murder, Eisenhauer was a track star at Wilde Lake High School before he graduated in 2015 and was on the news for Student Athlete of the Week.

Eisenhauer confessed to kidnapping Lovell but didn't act alone. His friend Natalie Keepers, also a freshman at Virgina Tech was along with him. Eisenhauer was arrested and charged with her murder days after Lovell murder. Natalie Keepers was also charged with accessory to her murder.

Bryce Dustin, a friend of Eisenhauer, told The Roanoke Times that Eisenhauer texted him about meeting a teenage girl at a party and later learned that she was underage. Dustin said Eisenhauer was afraid the girl would "expose" him and asked if he knew where he could hide a body. Blacksburg detective testified that Eisenhauer said he talked to a girl online who confided in him that everyone hated her and asked to meet him. He told police he arranged to pick up Lovell outside her apartment but left after he saw how young she was. A roommate noticed his boots were muddy the night after Lovell's murder. Keepers stated that Eisenhauer murdered Lovell alone and allegedy told him that she would contact the authorities. According to recently revealed court documents, Keepers revealed to police that Eisenhauer worried Lovell was pregnant or might commit suicide just weeks before her murder. At jury trial, Eisenhauer pleads no contest for the murder and doesn't confess the murder.

The two were found guilty of Lovell's murder. Eisenhauer was charged with first-degree murder Keepers was charged with one felony count of improper disposal of a dead body and one misdemeanor count of accessory after the fact in the commission of a felony. Eisenhauer was sentenced to 50 years in prison while Keepers was sentenced to 40 years in prison. Keepers and Eisenhauer both apologized to Lovell's family and regrets being involved in the murder.

Poor Nicole!!!! I can't imagine as a mother. I kind of understand that Nicole wants to find love in someone and she's afraid of being alone. This is a epitome for all parents talking with tweens and teenagers when it comes to social media.

Be your children's eyes and ears!
