Darling Thief

"Nothing happened to you."

"Am I stupid?"

"Not you, but I am a fool. Did I need to listen to you?

You have started fasting on Monday for my long life. I can't sleep the night before. You cooked all night for the morning. What kind of fast is yours when you overeat in the morning. You know how much you eat; no person has food cravings for even two days. You got sick not with fasting but for overeating.

Even If you had been sick, you would not have died. I am not a doctor, why you call me?

Our fight started this morning. It was so bad that the whole day went by with the thief. It is ten o'clock at night now. The thief is gone.

His so-called private limited policeman is also gone. They stripped me naked and took away my clothes.

Before lunch, I wondered how much damage would have been done today because Pasho had fasted. Although the loss would have been mainly for Pasho, my wife, her loss was also mine. I wonder how much black money was in the house, and I did not know of it. This was done at the mercy of the darling thief. Otherwise, I would have remained unaware of it for the rest of my life. Now my thinking has changed. After dinner, I wish we hadn't come home, and the thief would have left on his own.

While cleaning, we suffered a lot. Everybody knows that I am a very talkative, wise, and cunning person.

I think that there is no one wiser than me, but what can I do? People get their teeth pulled out, which gives me more boost. Sometimes, I know that people are lying, but I feel good about their lies.

Pasho, my wife's unique of her kind, also keeps me proud. She praises me but never praises without reason.

In the beginning, I overpowered the thief with my funny talks, but later, he destroyed me.

I also told the story, which made many laughs, but the darling thief just smiled faintly. I was sure that the thief would laugh out loud when all the others were gone except for Pasho. One thing is clear today that people laugh.

After drinking tea in the afternoon, I started talking, "Dear thief, once your younger brother came to steal from our house. At first, I thought the neighbor's son must have come to get an iron for their clothes.

I don't know if this is a curse or our cooperative nature, anybody used to come to our house without informing us. They open our door without even using the bell. We almost forgot the tone of our bell.

The thief may know our habits. He just came in as you did come this morning.

We caught him on the spot.

He did pee in his pant out of fear.

He also did not think that the Canadian police would not allow anyone to use unusual force.

The thieves are having fun. You can't even sue a thief. I also say that theft should be taken out of the criminal code and put in the civil wrong account. If the police don't do anything, you can sue the thief, but then the thieves say give us insurance benefits. Yes, that's right, you can now become aware of your human rights.

My brother came to me, and he was scared, but look at my wife Pasho'temper and her overweight.

Pasho took the stick and started beating as she always does with me. I told her to call the police, but she said, leave the police; I will treat him well. We don't believe in calling the police."

"Why?" the darling thief asked.

"Very simple, we are also scared from police. We don't want police to ever come to our house. We know how to handle authority in India, but here is a different story. Here police behave very strangely.

"That's right, good for you."

"Don't try to find other alternatives and listen about that incident."

"So, what happened next, sir?"

"What I tell you further, we did not find the rope to tie him.

We just collapsed him on the floor. Before Pasho do something I recalled the thief's fundamental rights. We are not supposed to use extra power; that is against the law. I instructed my wife not to do anything stupid, tie him with rope and call the police. Pasho could not find the string, so she sat on his back and told me to call the police and call the neighbor as a witness. I decided to knock on my neighbor's door. Then I realized I couldn't find my shoes. I was looking for my shoes, but I could not see, meanwhile Pasho was sitting on his back."

"Pasho, where are my shoes? I can't find."

Instead of Pasho, the thief replied, "Bro, use my shoes and bring the neighbor soon. I fed up with her weight on my back. Soon her weight would break my back; please go as soon as possible."

Could you get rid of me somehow? Please release me from her and hand me over to the police."

"You idiot, don't tell us what to do, and she slapped him on the head."

The thief also got angry; he also said from below, "Let me tell you, my human rights are being violated."

I thought the thief would laugh at my narration, but nothing happened; he did not even smile.

We have different agendas for the current situation. We don't want any trouble.

We are scaring the thief knowingly. We want that thief to listen to us and do some cleaning, laundry, cut the grass, mop the floor, and then leave. I told him a fake story.

"Pasho, make some tea; let's think what happened all this after taking tea."

"All right, darling, give me five minutes."

Pasho's guru suggested she have sixteen fast every Monday for peace of mind.

Today was the third Monday of the 16th fast. Pasho ate a couple of more potatoes stuffed chapatis

in the morning to not feel hungry till evening. I had just started my truck when the telephone rang. Pasho'number was flashing, and Monday's fast had made Pasho sick, saying she could not drive. Come and take her. I called the dispatcher, picked up the car, and went to her work. On the way back home, Pasho began to sneeze. Her Monday fast went in vain; now, She had to take an extra Monday.

We reached home. If she doesn't get better in an hour, I will take her to the doctor, but I started thinking about what to say to the doctor? Would I say that overeating made her sick? The doctor will tell. Eat less.

I took out my key and unlocked the door. As soon as I opened the door, I realized there was something wrong. Pushing the disturbance of my thinking, Pasho just fell on the couch. I went to the kitchen counter; I was surprised to see.

There was a pistol on the kitchen counter. I picked up the gun without thinking. As soon as I picked it up, my attention was drawn to my son. Well, my son, who was going to university, suddenly started seeing me like a goon. In the meantime, there was some movement in the upstairs bedroom. Frightened, I held the pistol in my hand. Now I realize that we are in trouble. There is someone in the house—one or two or more. Pasho also got up healthy and ran towards me. It seemed that more than half of the food eaten by Pasho was digested due to fear.

With a thud, a middle-aged man climbed down the stairs. He climbs down half of the stairs.

"Beware, if you move at all, I will shoot you, raise your hands," I shouted in film style.

The burglar disobeyed me and started running outside. Pasho picked up the roti roller and hit him. Roti-roller did not smash the thief, but the glass of the outer door shattered and the shards of glass scattered all around. The thief stopped in fear. I gestured to him with the pistol in my hand to come here and said, "son, we will not let you run away. The thief was not afraid of our gun. He was scared that the madwoman might pick up something else and kill him.

Frightened, the thief obeyed my gestures and came to us at my beck and call. After sitting him down, I looked around. The kitchen was filthy. The whole tray of eggs had fallen and broken near the fridge, and the raw eggs were broken and poorly scattered on the floor.

There were bunches of tomatoes on the counter. There were also dirty dishes in the sink.

Pasho looked around. He came and slapped the thief on the head.

I was shocked to see Pasho's anger. She was angry, but I had never seen her so angry. She never hit me so hard.

Pasho didn't believe in cleaning too much, but the sink is always empty, and this morning, she cleaned the dishes after breakfast. I had not yet gone upstairs to see the condition of the bedrooms. "Pasho, grab the pistol and point it at him. If he moves a little, shoot it. I'll go upstairs and look."

"No, don't go upstairs if a partner is hiding in the room. You better call the police."

"Bro, I am alone." Finally, the thief spoke for himself.

"Look, he's the only one. Don't worry; I would go and check upstairs."

"The thief said, and you agreed, you do amazing too."

"I'm a fool too, Pasho; I didn't even think about it."

"Brother, I am a thief, but I am not a liar. If not, trust me, I will go with you."

"First of all, don't call me a brother. What is your relationship with me?"

"Bro, don't get upset, relations could be formed in no time. After all, we are human beings. Only God knows what relationship we have. Sir, you are doing your job, and I am doing my job. What a difference?"

"OK, that's all right; let's move on."

The thief got up and went ahead and said on the way, "Sister-in-law, dear, you come too. You have a pistol. If I tried to run from the top, then there would be your duty to shoot me; why are you staying in the kitchen?"

"You cheater, don't call me sister-in-law."

"Don't confuse me; I am a thief, not a cheater. There is a lot of difference. Even there are different laws to deal these two offenses."

"Don't bark too much," Pasho said in anger.

By the way, I am not a cheater. That is why I am a thief. Compulsions force a person to do anything, but that does not mean that people should be deceived."

Pasho also obeyed the thief and followed us. The condition of the bedrooms was also bad.

He had ruined the whole house.

"Bro, do this now. Call the police." Let them come and take me away. If you say so, I will make the call myself."

"No, not yet; why are you in so hurry to get out of here. Our home is no worse than a prison."

It's a shame for me to stay here more; I want to leave your home, whether in jail or worse than jail."

"Don't be so emotional; you could stay here have lunch with us."

I want to disappear from your sight. I don't like to look at you. By the way, we have no ethnic enmity."

"But not even personal friendship, then why shame?" Also, which of your in-laws are sitting in jail whom you should hurry to meet? Will your father clean up the mess?

I don't want to clean your mess."

"Pasho is right, mister thief. You make this mess, and it is your moral duty to clean it. Pasho is still sick; she has not left her job to clean up."

"No, I don't want to clean. Today is my fast, and I am sick too, and on top of that, you make a mess. You have to clean. Otherwise, we will tie you up in the basement for two days and realize how to make a mess. You are a thief; I understand then why you open my fridge and cook yourself when you don't know how to cook, idiot?" Pasho tied a scarf on her head as she is very sick.

"Pasho is right. Why are you in such a hurry to call the police? They will come to handcuff you and then search your clothes and take you away in a cruiser."

"Yes, Bro, you are right. Why we call the police now, we could do it later. I will listen to you. Tell me what to do. I am at your service till evening. Morality tells me to do it first."

"Let's face it. I would have done the same thing in your place. But why did you create a mess in the kitchen? What do you think? The whole tray broke. Do you know how expensive eggs are nowadays?"

"I was starving."

"But what does the cooker in the sink do? Why did you use a cooker?"

"The problem was that the teapot was very dirty. I don't know how you make tea in it. My advice, you should donate it to somebody. Maybe someone still accepts it."

"Hello, Hello Pasho, this is not your cousin. You are walking around empty-handed." Just hold the pistol. It is unknown at this time what he will do after seeing you sleepy. He might try to run away again."

I alert the thief as well as to Pasho. Pasho immediately pulled out a pistol-wielding hand as the actress Rekha does in a movie.

"Bhabi, mi sorry, egg tray had fallen from my hand. I just made a crumb of two broken eggs. I didn't eat bread; you don't eat either; its expiry date is over. Don't know where you got the bread? Please, Bhabi, always check the expiry date."

“Don`t call me Bhabi How come I am your Bhabi.Beware if you call me Bhabi. And what do we have to do with thieves?"

"Bhabi, I'm sorry, I ate your salt, you know eating salt of somebody has traditional values.

I am not supposed to do anything wrong with that person.

It is our tradition. We are from the same community. South Asians always respect their values."

"Do not confuse kinship and profession. Can you claim that all your relatives are noble and no one is not noble? By the way, I did not say a bad word. I don't need any words to call you. Seeing what I saw in your bedroom, I hesitated to say, sister, what is my fault in this? The word 'bhaji' doesn't sound like a thread to me, but I am safe from my responsibilities with this word. I can't call you sister, so Bhabi is my second and only choice, you know what I mean. Don't you?"

"Where are all the saints? I don't think so." I understand Pasho is not talking to the thief now. She is telling me something. I have no choice, so I choose not to say anything."

"And if not, all are saints, then how will my profession come into relationships?" The thief laughed.

"Come on, it's good, don't talk too much now and start cleaning, or I'm going to call the police."

"No, Bhabi, don't call the police. By evening I must shine the whole house. After that, we will also call the police. You have to forget my guilt by seeing cleanliness, but Bhaji, give me some pajamas, how I can work in tight jean".

Pasho threw my pajamas at the thief.

"No, no, Bhabi, I will not wear it. It's too dirty; give me some washed pajamas." Listening to them, I start laughing. Pasho just smiled. She does not want to weaken her pistol grip.

Pasho was scared from cleaning, not from the thief.

I did see Pasho's intentions. The grass was too big. Planning had been going on for the past three weeks, but it was unclear who would cut the grass. There was a pile of clothes in the laundry room. Even walking in the garage was difficult. The light bulb on the ceiling of the stairs was a fuse from last summer. I was convinced that Pasho would get the thief to do what only a warrior could do.

The thief asked permission to go to the washroom to put on his pajamas, permission was denied. He could change right in the kitchen, no need to go to the washroom

Now the problem was Pasho's. I had to hold the pistol until the thief changed his clothes. I grabbed a pistol for the first time in my life. Not even with fun. I rode the horse only once on my marriage. That cost me too much.

Although I did not sweat in the pleasant weather but holding a pistol today made me sweat.

"Clean the kitchen first, thief Bhaji." For the first time, Pasho called the thief a bhaji, and the thief got angry.

He picked up the broom and angrily threw it down and said, "Did you call me a thief again?" Can't call me directly? I am not an honest thief. But what about you, who are you to me? What have I got? You humiliated me a lot now. Can't you ask my name? If I were bothered too much, I would have to call the police.

I have also read the Canadian Charter of Rights. You cannot tamper with my human rights.

The police have no record of me. I am not a real thief. I am not a thief. My real business is Gold. I take it out of the dark corners and bring it to the market. How will the economy work if you freeze the assets? It is a kind of national service."

"Sorry, thief bhaji, very sorry, what is your name?" Pasho asked hesitantly.

"Your wife is still violating my human rights." Thief is talking to me now.

"My name is Malkit Singh Shergill. Please don't call me Gill; there is no need to call me Singh. Don't even say my full name Malkit, say the only Keetu, my nickname, but for God's sake, don't call me a thief."

Surprisingly, I saw at Keetu.

"Calm down, Malkit, don't panic.Pasho brings a glass of water for Malkit."

"I do steal, but I am not a thief. I came here to pick up the order, not to steal. If you do not believe, then come on. Check the number. Below the serial number is also written the phone number of the company.

By the way, I don't need any sign, but if you have already come, sign the order. I can explain I got the pick-up on gunpoint. I will get rid of fieldwork. I have also said that you belong to our community." Kertu's crying stopped.

Keetu pulled the bag out of the garbage bin, packed the bag, and walked to the garage without asking. Pasho looked at me in fear and asked with a gesture, what should I do now?

He will run out of the garage. I gestured to Pasho to calm down. Keetu will not run away. After all, he is also a human being. What if he is a thief? Keetu returned with a couple of rags and wiped the broken eggs with them. Pasho was terrified, again and again, shouting silently with the hand of a pistol, scaring Keetu. Keetu cleaned the whole kitchen and started washing the dishes.

Meanwhile, the telephone rang. Kertu stopped me with a hand gesture and picked up the phone himself. "It's OK, don't worry, yes, I've had lunch. Tinku used to sneeze at night. Take her to a walk-in clinic. I will come late. I'll call myself if needed."

I was amazed at Keetu's courage. It was like this house should belong to Keetu and we should be an outsider.

"What's going on, whose phone was it and what did you say?" I asked angrily.

"Bhaji, she was my wife. It's too late, that's why she was worried. You know how dangerous traffic has become these days. No one even allows anyone to change lanes.

I finished my job within half an hour, and later I began to enjoy it. I had told Nindy, my wife.

There was a disturbance in the schedule, so Nindy started worrying but don't worry. I told her; all is well."

"What happened to Tinku?" Pasho asked about the baby.

"I don't know. It was fine until yesterday afternoon. As soon as Tinku ate the sandwich, he started sneezing. Nindy made a homemade milky shake, but it didn't make any difference."

"I think he's allergic. Our Bitu also gets sick very quickly. An old lady at our work prescribed me medicine. I'll show you." Pasho placed the pistol on the table and pulled out a leaf from the cover. Keetu cleaned his hands, grabbed Actifed's leaf, examined the leaf, and returned the leaf to Pasho. Pasho put the leaf in the cover and picked up the pistol from the table again.

At first glance, I thought it was a drama; then, I felt something that is hard to believe and even harder not to think in the delicacy of such a time.

"Look, thief, don't be too wise. I must call the police. Think about it; I will not hand you over to the police for your emotional tricks. Pasho claimed that you make a big mess.

It's your job to clean up, or I'd rather call the police now." Keetu didn't say anything. Silently he began to wash the dishes. Idle from the utensils, he started cleaning the house. He knew where the vacuum was. He was using everything as if he were a member of the household. He would even look at us in the middle of cleaning. After cleaning the bedrooms, he said, "You haven't asked me what I stole from you yet."

"Nothing happened to us. TVs, electronics, utensils, everything is fine. Thankfully, we came on time." I said calmly.

"No, I'm just a jewelry thief. We are experts in this work, and we do not pick up useless items like televisions without order. There is a big problem with handling them. By the way, I have put my sticker on the battery in the garage. If you allow me, I will take it."

"Yes, you must have a diploma in jewelry theft," Pasho said sarcastically.

"No, I did a diploma in fine arts. But I could not put myself in fine arts because my lifestyle is different than usual.

There was no focus on earning by fine arts. Where there was something beautiful, my focused concentration was satisfied. Nindy is very beautiful,well-shaped, sexy look and voluptuous. When she knew my intention, she swallowed me for her purpose.

It was too late when I got the chance to think about my fine arts.

She loved money more than she loved me."

"Who doesn't love money, but that doesn't mean you start robbing." I painted his argument yellow.

"But the world is full of injustice. Look, you are also doing me a great injustice. My petty theft is called robbery."

"I'm not talking about you; I'm talking about the world to explain to you. It looks like everybody is robber now"

"Well then, no matter what people say, I am also very saddened by people, but nowadays no one hears sadness. I like you very much. I tell you how cruel and opportunistic this world is."

"What do you think of yourself?" Pasho also said, doing her part."

"I don't care about myself, Bhabi. I became what the world made me be. All I know is that every human being has a weak and necessary part that can be bought. That part of me was bought by Nindy."

"But there is something, or you can say that there must be something strong and determined that cannot be bought," I said boldly even though inside I didn't want to say too much.

"But the question is which part is more vital.

The actual price is for fear and greed, not for humans. But where does weakness allow a person to get close to his intentions?"

"You are right,Keetu." I said.

"All I need some brushes, few colors, and some time, but the world doesn't allow me to have that."

"Tell me one thing, have you ever tried to make dollars without stealing?" I said kindly.

"Have you ever tried to drive home expenses without any manipulation?" No tax evasion." Keetu tried to put his finger on my aching vein, although I never felt it hurt.

"It's something you can't understand."

"Try Me"

"The rules are made by those who have the opportunity. He who misses the opportunity does not make the rules. We have a system, there are illegal things in it, but there is no room for theft. If you are smart, you can't be pushed around. I know the law because I am a law-abiding citizen. Disobeying the law is a costly deal. There is no need to be afraid if you know you are OK. Build your ladder. Why leave everything to the government? The government has a lot more to do. Stealing is not a sin, but it is also etiquette. Governments have done so much for this etiquette, my head bows before this milking cow."

"Oh my God, you are a genius, sir."

"Thanks, Keetu, then why this third-class job?"

"I also did many things while abiding by the law. But understand the coincidence that I saw manipulation in everything. Whether it was a garage job or something else, understand that all the business people in my life were law-abiding thieves. Then I thought that if this is the issue, why not steal, at least steal by becoming a thief and not becoming a gentleman. I refused to pretending a so-called nobleman. Bhaji, now I think I am nobler than you and your people."

"Your thinking is small like a frog in a well. Don't associate it with decency or vulgarity. Who used to tell you to work, pay taxes, and abuse?

Try to understand the system. Conscience is nothing to do with the system. Make your space in the crowd a. Now sometimes the government and sometimes your wife are at your focus.

You think Nindy and the government have betrayed you together. Can you claim that your wife Nindy was more interested in becoming your thief than money? '

"No, Nindy needs money, and you think to earn money is not easy, steal something to make money. It shows you do not know, no techniques, no cunning mind. Do you know it is easy to commit fraud than to stealing?

"I know Bhaji, but to commit fraud, I need some money."

"Who told you that, Keetu? not true."

"Bhaji, Nindy also have the same thinking. I did everything with her consent. She knows everything, even though I am here and talking to you, but she is worried now. We need money even for our regular expenses when I start this business. We thought one or two hits, and then we leave. We would leave whenever we got good stuff, but then we got addicted, just like you guys. Now I am more satisfied with my current business."

"What do you mean Keetu?"

"While searching your bedrooms, I am surprised to see that you guys are worse than me. You should be ashamed of what you are doing. Bhabi, you are a very cunning woman. Very unsatisfied, and your lust is that deep, I can't even imagine. Nindy can't even think of it. "I saw at Pasho, she also seeing at me.

"Bhaji truth is not what it seems. Truth is what we hide. But we cover that hidden truth with arguments." I was overwhelmed by the advice I heard from the thief. Pasho was in a complicated situation. It is unknown at this time what he found while searching the house.

That thing was going to embarrass Pasho or me. We were both liars.

We were also on the thief's right and left. The thief looked at both of us. Pasho was still holding the pistol, but it did not seem to be in her hands. I wanted to ask the thief what was in his hand that would embarrass me, but I was not encouraged in Pasho's presence. Pasho was turning sides in distress.

The thief looked me in the eye and said, "Nindy was saying something that I didn't hear, but it was not official. It was my duty to protect her. I should have known who he was, from whose frame she chose the truth. That sour truth she also began to taste. Nindy did what she should have done. If she had refused, we would not be rich today. What was the happiness that Nindy liked and not me? Then why were we, husband and wife?" The eyes of the thief were pierced with tears. Bhabi, why you and Nindy did? "Since when do you know Nindy?" I felt Nindy was a rebellious girl.

"From the last birth. Ever since the beauty of Nindy, greed has been much more than this life.

That is when the desire of Nindy boosted me to live.

The funny thing is that there are still desires that the next birth, Nindy again, would be my woman even if I must become a bandit. I don't care about other defeats. She is lovely, like a profound drop in her chin.

She has a deep desire to make Tinku a doctor. Tinku is our son."

"That's very nice," Pasho said.

"Yes, Pasho, I told her many times, look where he has to go. We still don't know in which subjects his mind is interested. Do you know what our business will be like until then? What does she say, Bhaji?"

"Come on; I'll listen." I was surprised to hear from his mouth, Pasho. He did not call Bhabi instead.

"Fear made me a thief. Becoming a thief, I became even more afraid."

"Keetu, Nowadays, even dogs are not faithful; how can your fear be loyal to you?"

"It is your point of view, not mine. Bhaji "

I felt as if Keetu said that Nindy and Keetu were better than Pasho and me, yet we are not thieves, and he is a thief. I felt that if Keetu stayed in our house for even a little longer, my 20-year relationship with Pasho would be broken, but it may be that we may not have seen the parts of our life that are present without being seen. Maybe Pasho is also a demand of my previous birth that I am married in this birth. I wanted to know something else. Keetu started with my hand gesture.

"Friends, the story is told, even older than Baba Adam. I loved Nindy very much. Don't laugh at my words because you can't laugh. Yes, one can laugh. Some people laugh when they see someone fall from a banana peel. You are not like them; I know that.

I will tell you the truth but don't beat me after because this is not a solution. I'm sure you can't do that either.

"I think you will blackmail us."

Keetu laughed and said, "Your prediction is not as right as you think."

"Let's see what kind of your departure from our home. Just continue. "

"The arrival of Nindy was like the arrival of spring. Who doesn't like new leaves? Maybe you hang up my idea with a sense of possession.

But who doesn't want possession?

The form of Nindy had bound my existence with chains. I did not say silk thread. There is a reason for this too.

After I hooked Nindy, I was satisfied but not Nindy. I thought we live as we are, but Nindy knew her price. She wants lots of money.

I also tried to satisfy her urge, but her expectation is so high, I can't even imagine.

I was waiting for my mannered progress positively. You know that it takes time, but I made a mistake here.

I wasted my time searching for the meaning of identity. I thought Nindy is very kind, merciful. It will recognize my hidden self, but where are my big pockets at a young age?

She is more than that, more significant than my thinking. We came to Canada with a diploma in fine arts. It seemed to me that the world had opened a treasure box for me. Now I would find a job in fine arts, and everything would be just beautiful like Nindy."

"I think you want to live in. spontaneity. Am I right?"

"Yes, Pasho, you are right.

I also used to go around the temple to pray and try to find myself good in the eyes of Nindy. I know women like it; my mother always prays on every occasion.

But Bhaji doesn't know why I felt that what I wanted was not in my destiny.

I kept wandering from door to door to make my aspirations a new way out of the crowd by putting on new clothes.

I was ready to burn in any furnace for the sake of Nindy. In the desire to refine me, I did everything in my reach, but the satirical laughter of Nindy began to embarrass me. I told Nindy to give me some more time, but Nindy did not have time. I was ready to fall into any well. I stopped listening to religious songs.

It was my first defeat. I would have lost the right to sing; my blossom feathers know it.

I did not forbid. By the time I was going towards easy money, Nindy was playing with my lust."

I could feel her fingers all around my soul. Lots of time, I became hyper. She liked my roughness. One time I was not in a good mood, and I was ironing her clothes.

Knowing the truth, I don't know if I was angry or confused. I pushed the iron away, and iron touched Nindy's naked leg.

There was something else that I will not tell you. But one thing I can say for sure is that I did nothing knowingly.

She just spoke up loudly. The matter went viral in the community. I was not a sinner."

"What happened then?" Pasho asked sympathetically.

" I was embarrassed and told the truth."

"What was to happen, Bhabi? I understood her meaning. It was a question of extracting milk from the mountain for my wife. With pure water, the thirst for Nindy was not quenched. We lived in the basement then. Not in a big house like now. But tell me fairly, do we live alone in the basement?"

"In the beginning, everybody starts their life in the basement. I think she was delivering the message to you. Maybe I am wrong. "Pasho answered the question, which also addressing me.

"Yes, you know Pasho cause you are also a woman and did so many things in despair, I know that."

Keetu looked at me as I am talking on his behalf.

“Keetu, don`t listen to him. What happens next?"

"I was adorable and believer of values of life but all of a sudden I have to quit, what I believe.

I had to wash my feet in a dirty pool to make Nindy and her friends look good. The cold wind knocked and said, your feet still need time. Don't waste time looking for the edge of a dirty pond. I obeyed the cold wind and returned home. I left my first theft in the middle. I had made a thin decision that I would rebuild my fine arts diploma, but my choices needed condemnation. Bhabi Ji, my heart used to say, I will explain Nindy. All went vain.

NIndy can't wait to waste more time; She may be ready for other alternatives. To stop the way of different options, I need to do something. No romantic tree is there. I have to grow my own.

I came to the house of Nindy.

A beautiful girl was sitting on the couch. I went upstairs to the bedroom. I took out a diploma in fine arts from the drawer. Holding some pictures in hand came down and handed it to the girl and said, "From now on, I am all yours, Nindy."

Nindy phoned her connection and gave me the phone, and I talked to a stranger.

On the first day, I was homeless; I earned five hundred dollars."

"Bhaji, I found everything you had, even what I didn't want to see. I am not going to violate anyone's privacy. What can I do? You are too careless. Is it a good idea to keep such things open? But I don't understand where you hide the alcohol. My heart wanted to put on a peg. When I read your love letter, By God, Bhaji, my tears came to my eyes. I remembered my first love, But why didn't you mail love letters?

I thought it must have reached Anju with telepathy, or you may have blown your heart out on paper. Then I got Anju's love letter. Her handwriting is the same as yours. At first, I thought, how is it possible? The same person had written two letters.

I became emotional and forgot that I am a thief. It would be fun to find your bottle. Don't you drink, or do I have not seen?"

"Every gentleman's bottle is in the washroom." I was embarrassed and told the truth."

"Where in the washroom?"

"In toilet water tank."

"Oh my God, you are genius Bhaji; I have to learn so many things from you."

" I keep, but I don't drink at all."

" I do not believe. What I find indicates that you are drinking." Keetu answered me.

I was scared now. I have too many things in my room, which I suppose to hide. I did some but not all. It seems that all the secrets will be revealed today. Many things are known to Pasho, and many things are not known to Pasho and should not be known.

My heart wanted to make a deal with the thief. The thief was looking at me casually, but he had a total concentration on Pasho.

Pasho was very edgy look like her nervous system was going to crash.

She seemed to suffer less from morning sickness but seemed more miserable. When did she put the pistol on the table? The three of us didn't pay attention to the gun now.

I gestured to Pasho and whispered in her ear, "Let him go or not." Before Pasho could speak, Keetu said, "Bhaji, my cleaning is not finished yet. I am going to vacuum the bedrooms. Shouldn't we have a cup of tea before vacuuming?"

"No, big brother, leaving the cleaning, we will do it ourselves. If you want to go, you can go now. We are now just friends.

You must be late too. Your wife will be worried. Just return the stolen goods and apologize."

"I can't go; it is against morality. Let's make a deal. I am thankful to God who sent you during my work.

Also, we still have to call the police."

"But your wife and son will be waiting before they get worried; you should reach home safe and sound."

"No, I'm not in a hurry. Nindy has complete faith in me. She knows I went to work, and she knows the nature of my work.

I didn't go anywhere with anyone's wife. I have not received justice yet.

Without justice, I am not leaving. Where do people like you meet every day? So, don't shake the dust off the bells. We still have a long way to go.

It is also to be found out where Bhabi hid her queen necklace. Your labeled tapes are also worth listening to. The four or five credit cards that are made under different names, I want to learn a lot from you.

Five health cards, four passports, Bhaji, you are just a genius.

I don't even know how to do business. I only steal Gold. Just ask me why I steal only Gold. I will tell you all about my skills. Please make me more efficient,

After all, I also have some respect. Do me a little justice." Keetu walked around and picked up the pistol.

I was happy to see him carrying a pistol. I breathed a sigh of relief. I was hopeful that he would now have a gun in his pocket. Gradually he will change his clothes, put on his shoes, and go away, calling bye-bye.

Keetu opened the pistol and taken off the bullets. He threw the empty gun on the couch like a toy and kept the shells in his two pockets, and said, "Do you know how expensive these bullets have become these days? Inflation is on the rise. What should a person do? God is also testing us.

An inflation rate is very high. Life is so fast, and we have classic hobbies. Am I right, Bhabi Ji." Keetu finished talking and looked at Pasho with a strange look. Pasho did not look at him. She looked at me with pity and then, not knowing what to do, bowed down and sat on the sofa.

"You look tired. You relax; I will make tea for you guys." Keetu went to the kitchen to make tea without hearing our answer.

Thoughts surrounded me.

I thought that many people do not get justice. It does not mean that they should become thieves. How many times am I being pushed? I have responded to the pressure but have not become a thief. I looked at Baba Nanak's photo and wanted to be patient. Baba motioned for me to calm down.

I wanted to bury the feelings. But Pasho's friend did not give up. What would I do then? I avoided it a lot. You look like film star Jackie Sheriff. It was not Jackie's fault if he looks like me. She laughed.

I still thought she was ignorant does not understand fire. But she took a candle and started reading my pattern.

I wanted to blow out the candle. The woman pushed my fist with the fence of her hands. The wax was melting. I turned my attention away from the flames and admired Pasho's yellow dress. Pasho went to the kitchen, and she asked me, "Do you like yellow color?"

Seeing Pasho coming towards us in the living room, I said, "Of course I like yellow color. Yellow color is my favorite color. My wife Pasho knows about it. Right Pasho?" I answered her by questioning my wife.

"Don't listen to him. He is a big flirt. He also likes green."

She laughed aloud, and I saw her dimples, smiling and inviting me. The next day I looked at the mirror. I look like Jackie, the same day I joined a gym.

Wearing the yellow dress, she came home the same evening and said, "That` nice, you joined the gym."

"Bhabi Ji, how much sugar will you take, one spoon or two?"Keetu asked from the kitchen loudly.

"One and a half tablespoons," Pasho replied with a smiling voice.

I was shocked to hear Pasho's answer. Pasho never took a teaspoon and a half of sugar. She always took a spoon. Keetu also smiled when she started saying one and a half spoon. Her words are walking like sugar candies.

Pasho uttered such sweetness five years ago too. Five years ago, someone asked her the amount of

sugar. I was still surprised to hear a spoon and a half, but I did not respond any hypothesis.

It may be my superstition, but I was disturbed by the thief's confidence. There was an invitation on Pasho's face as well. I was also convinced that such calls are usually to make a U-turn for temporary benefits, these flowers do not last long. Pasho must want to hide something that the thief has found out.

"Bhaji, I think you will not add sugar at all."

"How can you be so sure that I don't need sugar?"

"Most vegans in the world just drink tea without sugar."

"Don't talk too much. I am not a vegetarian. Drink tea, Give us back our belongings, and leave. You are free to go." I wanted to say goodbye but couldn't. I don't know if it was a demand of decency or fear sitting inside me. I didn't want it to reveal any secrets in front of my wife and break up our twenty-year-old relationship.

" Bhaji, tell me if you want to get some opium.." Keetu had pulled out wax-wrapped opium from his purse without looking. He put the grain in his mouth.

"I also looked at the wrapped with a greedy look, and he gave me a bit too. So I put the opium in my mouth and drank some tea. Keetu also asked Pasho. But Pasho refused, saying thank you.

Keetu smiled and looked at Pasho and said, "Bhabi, I have seen a picture of yours wearing a queen necklace at the wedding last week. You look lovely with the queen necklace in it. So I searched the whole house, but I did not find that queen necklace of yours. So I was not satisfied with the rings.

If I found your that necklace, I would have gone. I must search every corner.

I found so much secret of yours, but still, that necklace is missing. I just came here to get it. The job was assigned to me. We are both in a desperate situation. I could not find it, and you cannot hide your secrets properly. But what can we do? Is it all God's hand?

Without HIs order, even one leaf cannot move. We are just robots of God.

We can not do anything without his permission. It is all his game. We are just kids of God, you know.

But don't feel bad at what God approves.

Pasho sipped her tea without answering. I was looking at both. They both started looking at me. It was as if Pasho was saying, "I will tell you, but I do not want to tell you in my husband's presence." The truth is that I don't even know if Pasho has a queen necklace or not. She has some real and some fake. Now find out what is real and what is fake; I never even bother. But the amazing thing was that the thief knew that the queen necklace in the picture was made of pure Gold.

"Keetu Bhaji, if we give you that queen necklace, will you take it and leave?"

For the first time since the morning, Pasho had removed the word 'thief' Addressing our unwanted guest respectfully.

Surprisingly, she did not include me in the deal.

"A story was viral when I was young. You may have heard. The story of the hen that lays the golden egg." Keetu stood up and picked up the empty cup. We heard knocking on the front door. I saw that Bittu had come back from school. He took his bag off his shoulder and looked at his mother with questioning eyes.

"Bittu, this is your uncle. Say hello to Uncle."

Bittu said Hi to Keetu. There were many questions in saying hi. I was not ready to answer any of his questions. Bittu's presence was a headache for all of us. There could be no discussion in his presence.

"Bittu son, in which grade do you study?" Keetu covered the part of the sofa where the pistol was lying with his seat.

"Uncle in third grade," Bittu said while looking for the tv remote.

"Bhabi Ji, the remote is under you. Let's change a channel. I was furious when I heard this from Keetu, but I controlled my anger.

"Almost evening, why not sit outside a bit? Pasho said.

"We sit outside, and Bittu will watch television," Keetu said like a professional.

We came out into the yard.

The grass was big enough. Mosquitoes also roamed. Neither Pasho nor I dared to ask Keetu to mow the lawn.

Keetu himself said, "Bhaji, shouldn't I cut the grass first?"

I said, "No, I'll cut it myself. Why bother?"

Keetu didn't say anything, but I felt as if he was saying something thunderous.

"Yes, how do we solve the problem now?" Keetu started talking.

"You won, and we lost. Take all that you have collected, of course, even if you take the garage battery tomorrow; if you say so, I will deliver the battery to your house, but leave soon. If you want to return something, it is up to you. Make some concessions, I believe, you will have mercy. It is better to return our engagement ring. Otherwise, it is your choice. I said, intending to finalize the deal.

" I have found two thousand dollars from Pasho's drawer, which is very much private., and a whole bunch of jewelry. I am going to sell. I don't even get a dollar of it. I do not understand what to do with you. You have patented everything. How will we get out of it? Even if you tell me Anju's address, the work is still difficult. Where shall I get her blackmail? It is a difficult job. I never did it before Bhaji. Make a fair dual-purpose something which is reasonable; otherwise, I must call the police. Nothing personal, just business."

I was sweating. Mosquitoes also seemed to be plotting against me.

What the courage, I thought.

He called my wife, Bhabi, first, then he starts calling her Pasho like me.

Surprisingly, even Pasho was not coughing. I felt a connection between Keetu and Pasho that they did not want to let me know.

Keetu knew now something about Pasho, which I don't know.

"Look, Malkit Singh Ji, everyone has their own business. Everyone has a piece of bread to eat. You are a working man, and so am I. Sometimes suddenly, we get into each other's way. Humanity demands that we both respect each other."

"Where did your humanity go in the morning when Pasho hit me on my head?" To this day, this courage has not even been taken by Nindy. If he does that, I will bear it, but the poison you gave me will have to be paid for in the morning. Again, nothing personal."

"No, what do you want? You are a thief and swindler. What will you do? Even a dog is better than you. "I just lost my temper.

Keetu started laughing. "When do I refuse?" Stray dogs are better than all three of us. I agree, but you don't agree. That's the difference I want from you, don't get upset. Our stress is not our personal. The system made us like that. I am trying to create balance among us. If you have a better choice, tell me. I never get emotional with my customers, but I don't know why I will emotionally attach to you guys. I am very soft-hearted that why I do no business except Gold. I also quit my first job. It was an easy task."

"What was your occupation?" I realized that being angry was not the answer.

"I used to take stereos out of cars. It was an easy task—no police case.

It was no more messing around. Just open the car in two minutes. Take out the stereo, and you're done."

"But what if someone comes over?" I asked curiously.

"Come on? We are not so ignorant. This work has also been suggested to me by the police.

Someone even took out my stereo once.

The police came and said. Friend, take care of yourself. What can we do? In Toronto alone, there are six hundred such incidents in one night."

My insurance broker smiled and said, "your insurance would go up. You must pay more in the future than your stereo. Just leave like others."

An idea came to my mind. It was a very safe job, but there were two obstacles.

One was selling stereo very cheap, and the other was pitying people. Poor people get expensive stereos for working so hard, and I suck their blood. So my conscience suggested me don't hurt the people."

" what about the work you are doing now to break into people's homes and steal? Doesn't it hurt people?"

"No, it doesn't hurt anyone's heart. I have made some of my own rules. I have worked in factories. I know how to earn with blood and sweat. I am not a cheater like you. I am just a gold trader. The Gold in the house is useless. How many occasions throughout the year women wear Gold? Wearing jewelry is a sign of slavery anyway.

It is a different kind of philosophy. We will talk about this again. Yes, I was saying that the Gold in the house was useless. Anyway, if it is stolen, it is good. For the future, a woman is disenchanted with Gold. I also want the welfare of society. Second, buying Gold often leads to problems in the home. I don't even want trouble at people's homes. The third thing is to protect Gold.

People also keep it in the bank locker. And when they are brought out from there, they can't even sleep at night because they are so worried. We even have a little time. There are two weeks between withdrawal from the bank and putting it again. The weekend they withdraw, Women went to a party, and the following week she becomes lazy.

The average is about ten days of discomfort, and you tell yourself if we don't get a good night's sleep, then how could do work properly? If the production of the factory decreases, then the country will suffer.

Without enough sleep, you can't drive your car properly. You will have an accident. That is why I have taken up this profession. There is no risk. No investment. I just bought a pistol to intimidate. I have never used it and certainly would not use it in the future too.

I have never been to a stranger's house, and who shoots his people? Keetu got up and checked the chair that was sinking in the grass.

Your other question is the time frame. The needle must be inserted in the middle of these two weeks—no receipts for Gold and no insurance, no shortage of money. Most of the husbands don't even know how much Gold they have. Hack yourself, and You don't even know there is a queen necklace in your home. I can't find it either. We have to ask Pasho for that. Without that, no deal would be final, you know.

"God bless you and your earnings. What do you want from us now?"

"Bhaji, I want your blessings. Please share with me the details of the work you have done."

"What work?"

"Hey, these are the credit cards you make, with different names. How do you answer collection calls? How do you deal with insurance companies? You are on the payroll for three companies, but you do not go anywhere. I found three check stubs in the same period of weeks. You have a truck and filled logbook, but you are attending a meeting with one political party.

Dispatch invoices are walking all over in your study room. I think you do need a good study room with organized drawers and wall shelves.

The jar is full of crushed poppy flowers; I don't know you sell it or use it for yourself. I ate a spoon. Not sour; I think you should put more grounded jaggery.

My advice is to add Organic Cane Sugar instead of regular sugar next time. It also enhances the taste and does not break the wire of intoxication.

"You are right Keetu, a friend of mine also suggests I use Organic Cane Sugar. Yes, Pasho, write it down in your list; next time, bring it with grocery."

"Keetu Dear, if you say I go now to get it, then we would try. It would be fun."

"So you take the stuff too, Dear Pasho?"

Keetu looked at Pasho and started talking to me again on the same topic, "Man, you are one; there are five health cards. It doesn't even matter if you are an immigrant or a citizen; both passports are available. I am only a poor thief who earns fake notoriety.

Bhaji, please Make me smart too. By the way, that the matter of Anju and two other women's issues

are your matter. I don't want to interfere in anyone's personal life unnecessarily. Right Pasho?" Keetu had made a threatening request for an apprenticeship.

"You misunderstood me, younger brother. I am a hard worker. These are the ones you have seen cards and other things. These are not mine."

"Mr. Cheater, it is all yours. Your wife made my head bald in the morning by slapping, and now you are saying, little brother. Why are you afraid of a thief? That means you are. Who needs the police? Me or you guys."

"Keetu, you are brilliant and handsome too. Just change the topic; I am fed up now that we are repeating the same thing repeatedly. Pasho smiled at Keetu, I got it now; she starts fishing in her way.

"You are right Pasho; we can take a second opinion from the police. I heard that Canadian police love justice, even though their main job is to issue traffic tickets.

I started laughing. Seeing my innocent laughter, Keetu asked, "Bhaji, give me your cell for a sec."

I handed over my cell to him. Keetu dialed one of his numbers and said, "Yes, let's go." Don't come in uniform. There is a baby in the house; he might scare, also come in a private vehicle. Yes, yes, your prey is under my control. Yes, a woman too, very cunning. Don't worry; you could see lady police later if you have to arrest the couple."

The ground slipped under my feet.

He was calling the police. I was very nervous.

Suppose police charged all three of us. Keetu would get the bail the next day, but my bail won't be granted anytime soon. I still didn't know how severe Pasho's crime is. She did shop on one of my fake credit cards so many times.

"Keetu, bro, what have you done? Our deal was still going on. Did I just say something wrong?"

"We never say no to anything. You just tell us what you need?"

"Let me get it straight; I won't allow you to say no for anything. I got nothing to lose, but you play smart with me.

Do you know how much you hurt me in the morning? Under Canadian law, you have used too much force. You see, it's called a restraint?

My lawyer will turn the restraint into total confinement and realize how to violate a person's human rights like mine. Your wife Pasho is a ruthless woman; call me a thief and start using me for cleaning, laundry, and so other things.

It was your duty as a good citizen to call the police immediately after my trespassing in your yard by mistake. Don't take the law into your own hands. But you wanted to be cleaned. With the washing of your filthy clothes, I have been attacked physically. I will also claim damages in a civil court under tort. That's why I called the police. Let the police see with his own eyes. I have been persecuted."

"But we will also tell the police that you came to our house with a pistol and stole our jewelry. You even broke our eggs." Pasho argued and threw more kerosene into the fire.

"I didn't even bring a pistol. The pistol belongs to you, fat lady. Your fingerprints are all over the pistol."

"Why are you lying now, you stupid thief?"

"What do you expect from a thief? Can't he tell a little lie?"

"Let's stop fighting you both. You are not kids. If you both want, I can offer my services of coinciding."

The bell rang,Keetu got up and opened the door. There was a policeman without a uniform. After Keetu left to open the door, I stared at Pasho and told her to be quiet.

I wanted to explain to her in a short time that we should not get into any more trouble." He has scoured us and has found many things. I have told you many times that such things are kept in the bank locker.

Even now, if your queen necklace is the price, give it to him, let it end."

Keetu talked to the policeman in a corner and kept telling him something that I could not hear.

Pasho whispered; it looks like he is a fake policeman. I agreed with Pasho.

I thought, why not ask the fake policeman for his badge number. I was scared to ask, the policeman and Keetu approached us, and the policeman said, "Whose child is inside?"

Why, is it ours?"

"He does not look like yours. He does not resemble either of you. Can you show me his birth certificate? What would you say to this gentleman's complaint?"

"What kind of complaint?" I asked in surprise.

"Mr. Malkit Singh Shergill is saying that you kept him in your illegal custody for twelve hours and tortured him physically and mentally."

"Yes, he came to our house to steal." Despite my explanation, Pasho struggled.

"What time did you inform the police?"

"Yeah ... yeah ... we haven't told the police yet. "Keetu tells us, don't tell the police yet."

"Who is Keetu, your lawyer?"

"No, sir, not lawyer, He is a thief, and his name is Keetu."

"Well, the thief said you don't tell the police, and you obey; wonderful." I may ask why you obeyed him. Did he look like your cousin?"

"No, my only uncle has no son. He has three daughters. One is married, and two are still virgins."

"And what is your name?"

"Parkash Kaur. People call me by my nickname Pasho. You can also call me Pasho."

"Parkash Kaur Ji, did I ask you how many girls your aunt has?"

"No"

"Then better you, answer what I ask you, to the point. The matter is grave. Keetu told me that your husband is involved in drugs."

"Sir, you answer me, according to the law, this madwoman has every right to remain silent." The policeman told me.

"Even you are involved in drugs; I will not ask you any question because that is not my job. I came here to investigate the complaint of Keetu. He was in your home because you guys restraint him for more than twelve hours now.

Now tell me, according to your version, he is a thief and trespassed your property with intention to steal.

When you entered your home, what Keetu is doing in your home?"

I am in deep thinking before I answered. If I tell the policeman that Keetu was in the bedroom and his pistol was lying on the kitchen counter, it would be mismatched, not agreeable Keetu did not like it either.

When the pistol came in, it had Pasho's fingerprints on it. There is going to be a case of illegal ammunition on Pasho. Occasionally there is an excellent chance to teach a lesson to Pasho. Then thought, leave it, she is still Bittu's mother. Sometimes she even bakes bread.

"Yes, he was running down from the bedroom when he heard our knock."

"How did you control him and keep the person with you for twelve hours?"

"Yes, there was a mistake."

"Don't you know that this is a crime? Depriving any citizen of his rights is a grave crime."

"Yes, He broke our eggs too." Pasho woke up again.

"Is it true, Mr.Keetu?"

"Yes, I was starving."

"But why you break the eggs? It is mischief. I don't know the section, but the prosecutor could charge you for misconduct. Damaging the eggs is illegal. Under this roof, all three of you did involve unlawful activities.

"Well, I understand everything. I'll give you half an hour. Compromise with each other. If you want to make a deal, then do it. Otherwise, I will charge both parties. The deal must be in writing. I think both of you are frauds. By the way, this is a case of the fraud department. They must be referred. The long weekend is about to begin in three days. Your inquiry will begin after Monday."

"Sir, why two parties? I am confused; we are three. Pasho confused again.

"Pasho, don't worry. Buy one get one free is not applicable here. Let me talk. You just stay away from this. "I ordered Pasho to keep quiet.

"I looked at Keetu and gestured to him. He came to me. The policeman said, "I'll ring in half an hour. Let me know your decision." After saying that, the policeman left.

"Now tell me how to do Bhaji, and my overtime has also started. I will charge separately for this. I am swamped today. It's good that the policeman didn't ask you why you both left work and came home. Otherwise, there would have been more confusing. There can be no coincidence with this. I came from my office, and you came from your work.

I also must face the inquiry before the board for this abnormal delay."

"Tell me first, was this policeman real or fake?"

"You are not innocent. You are very cunning. Should I have called the real police? By the way, if it was real, he would have done the same. And why would I call a real policeman for a diamond-like you?"

"I already suspected it was your police. If it were real, I would have asked first if there was no emergency. If there was no emergency, where would the policeman come from so soon?"

"As for the real thing, if you say so, I will call now. I have shown you the trailer. I came to steal empty-handed, and it is not a big crime for you to torture me. You spit on your hands to prove yourself an international swindler. Having a pistol in the house means you are also a terrorist. You could be linked to al Qaeda or the LTTE. It is the government's job to see this, not mine. They had to arrest me, and I had to get bail, but you would be detained. Which means you can't talk to anyone, far from being a lawyer. By the way, I do not interfere in the work of the government. A minor thief with limited capacity."

"Malkit Singh Ji, let's have a beer. See you are our guest. Can't say no."

"Bhaji, I don't drink beer. Yes, I will take whisky if I have to."

"Pasho would grab a beer for me and make a Scotch peg for Keetu.."

"OK," said Pasho very humbly. Such humility was present in the first few months of our marriage.

" what will you get in Scotch, coke, soda or water, and also ice or not?"

"On the rocks, Bhabi."

"I have started making chicken wings for you. It would be a wonderful evening, call Nindy Didi too."

"No, meet her again somewhere. Let's finalize the deal today."

"Yes, sir, what did you think?" How can we talk?" Keetu was asking me.

"What is your demand?"

"Look, this is how we are, Punjabi brothers—respecting each other.

I handed over two thousand dollars to the policeman which I found Pasho's room.

Leave the jewels to me, and you give the queen necklace as a gift to Nindy. The poor girl will be happy. I don't want to provide a queen necklace to nobody. I already told the policeman that you guys already deposited it in a bank locker.

As for the rest of the credit cards. Decide what you will do." He spoke of justice.

"Come on; you're my little brother. You keep two cards, and I'll keep two."

" This is a matter of brotherhood. Let's talk about the future now. Teach me this skill too.

Every Tom Dick and Harry is working on Gold. But, unfortunately, Gold is not a profitable business."

"What did you find about Pasho?" I asked.

"Bhaji, it's better not to ask. So I will not tell you."

At half-past eight, we ate bread. As he left, Malkit touched Bittu's head, took twenty dollars out of his pocket, put it in his pocket, and said, "True bhaji, what to do with your engagement ring." Buy it if you need to, first you or else you know this Gold doesn't last long. The Gold in the house is not good, but you need this ring very much—the symbol of your marriage. I can sell you at the market price.
