Today's case begins in the state of Miranda, Venezuela, where in 2014 Stela, the 30-year-old Marisa Domador Kuzma lives with her family.

That same year the young woman decided to leave her country to look for new opportunities so that because of this she moved to Bournemouth, a tourist city located in the south of England.

Her mother says that she was a strong, hardworking woman who always faced problems with a smile. It highlights her fun, warm and self-confident personality.

In 2018, Stella was a cashier at a Barclays branch and in her free time she worked as a volunteer with disabled people. In addition, everyone says that she loved animals so much that she dedicated herself to rescuing them and then finding a good home for them.

It is important to mention that Stella shared an apartment with more people because part of her salary was sent to her family who was still in Venezuela. She just wanted them to have quality of life.

During the 4 years he was in England she made many friends, in fact she was looking forward to living closer to them. That's why in the summer of 2018, when a room was left free in Richmond Gardens, she didn't hesitate for a moment. She was very close to the center, to her friends, to work and just a 15-minute walk from the beach so everything was advantages.

On Sunday, July 1, Stella moved to her new house where a girl and a 19-year-old boy named Ryan Thorton also lived. This boy worked as a cook in a pub and had only been living there for 9 days.

What Stella could least suspect was that this change was going to lead to a tragic end.

The facts:

July 7, 2018 was Saturday and Stella spent the whole day with her friends on the beach until at 7 in the afternoon she decided to go home.

That same day Ryan turned 20 so he went out to eat and drink with some friends while they watched the England football match against Sweden.

After the meeting, he left with his group and spent the rest of the afternoon drinking and playing video games.

It seemed like a normal night, but at 4.30 in the morning something happened.

At that time, two employees of a bar were walking to their house when suddenly Ryan, in a panic, left an alley that was next to his apartment block.

The boy cried out for help because, according to him, someone had stabbed him. The two witnesses saw that blood came out of a wound he had on his leg and another stain on his shirt, so they immediately called emergency rooms.

While Ryan was being treated by the medical service, the police began to talk to him to find out what had happened, and it must be said that he told a somewhat strange story.

According to him, someone who was wearing a hoodie had attacked him with a knife and then fled through the forest area.

The police went there with tracking dogs but when they did not find the suspect or traces of blood in the surroundings, they feared for the residents of the building.

In order to access, they asked him for the keys to his apartment. Ryan told them that he hadn't been there but the agents still decided to go in.

Once inside, they were struck by the fact that Ryan had the laptop turned on in his room, but not only that... The device was playing a rather violent video titled woman forced by her brother.

The agents continued to check the house until they arrived at Stella's room. When they knocked on the door, the young woman didn't answer so they entered to see if she was okay.

When they turned on the light in the room, they found something that left them horrified: The duvet on top of the bed had a large blood stain just like on the walls, and in an armchair there was a kitchen knife.

When they removed the duvet, they found Stela's body lifeless, there was no doubt that she had been stabbed on several occasions.

During all this time Ryan had been with the medical service to heal his wound but when the agents left his apartment he was arrested for Stela's murder.

The autopsy determined that the young woman had 17 stab wounds in the neck and chest that caused her death. In addition, her body had remnants of semen that belonged to Ryan. The most sinister thing is that they were able to verify that the boy abused Stela when she had already died.

The knife was also examined and there they found blood from the two, but not only that, when Ryan was arrested they took several samples of the blood he had in his body and subsequent tests confirmed that it belonged to the girl.

In addition, the autopsy revealed that Stela did not die instantly but that she had been involved in a prolonged fight with her aggressor.

During the investigation, the Dorset police discovered that before committing the crime, Ryan had downloaded several videos in which the main theme was to maintain forced relationships with women.

On the other hand, his Facebook page was full of violent sexual references and abuse.

In November 2018, Ryan was taken to court where he administered the murder of Stela and 11 other charges, including the possession of incedent images of minors. The boy admitted his guilt to face everything he had done and be a better person.

The trial was held a month later. The prosecutor, Matthew Jewell, presented an audio test in lal that is heard as Ryan breaks into Stela's room to represent his dark fantasies while she screams in despair.

Finally, 20-year-old Ryan Thorton was found guilty and sentenced to life in prison for the 34-year-old Stela's tamer Kuzma. In order to apply for parole, you will have to spend a minimum of 22 years and six months in prison.

The judge, reading the sentence, confirmed that the detainee and the victim did not have any romantic relationship. They were simply roommates.

According to the evidence and the statement of the accused on the night of the events, Ryan wanted to carry out a kind of sexual fantasy as a birthday gift.

After consuming substances and videos for adults, he went to the kitchen, grabbed adhesive tape and a knife, and entered the girl's room taking advantage of the fact that she had not locked it. There he tore off her clothes and tried to abuse her. When he saw that she resisted with all her strength, he panicked and ended her life in a brutal way.

According to the judge, no one can imagine the terror and damage he suffered.

After Ryan left the building in a panic and full of blood, it was just at that moment when he met the two workers who saw him injured. What they could least suspect was that Ryan was not a victim, but an executioner.

At the trial, a statement was read by Olga, Stela's mother, in which she pointed out that she had moved to Great Britain to feel safe.

"Stela left Venezuela in the hope of finding a new home. A place where she felt safe, where justice and the law exist. She chose the United Kingdom because of her job opportunities and a safe society.

I will never forget when a friend of hers called me to tell me that she had died. At that moment my heart stopped for a few seconds. I talked to my daughter that same night and she was at home. No one deserves to end their life that way. It has left us broken.

"I've missed not having Stela with me every day for the last four years, but I knew I was just a call away. Now, every time I want to get to her I have to face the reality that she is no longer with us. I have no words to express how much it hurts"
