Visiting Congo, Pope Francis Embraces the Poor and Exploited, article fron the New York Times.

The Catholic Church is as evil as the British Empire which colonized almost every country in the world, with the exception of a few (22 countries). African children have been abused, molested and given birth to children of White Catholic priests.

Then abandoned to grow up in poverty and shamed for their mixed race. These children won't ever know their fathers no matter how hard they try to meet and locate them.

SAMBURU, Kenya (AP) — The Vatican is investigating a Kenyan man’s claim that his father is an Italian missionary priest who impregnated his mother when she was 16, a case that highlights how the Catholic Church is reckoning with Africa’s legacy of sexual abuse and priests fathering children.

Gerald Erebon has been an outcast of sorts for all of his 30 years: Tall and light-skinned with wavy hair, Erebon looks nothing like the dark-skinned Kenyan man listed as his father on his birth certificate, or like his black mother and siblings.

Erebon, his family and villagers in remote Archer’s Post, Kenya say that’s because he is the son of the Rev. Mario Lacchin, an 83-year-old Italian priest of the Consolata Missionaries religious order who ministered in Archer’s Post in the 1980s

Countries on several continents have taken account of the cases in which children were sexual abused by priests. Billions of dollars have been dished out to the victims in several western countries.

Not in Africa where most face a stigma about speaking out about their sexual abuse. Especially males, with severe homophobia as well as people unable to understand that boys are children too.

With the same inability to fight off their male abusers.

A Kenyan man recalled his time growing up as an alter boy in the Catholic Church. He spoke of how some of his fellow alter boys would take biscuits or shillings to let the priests "do stuff to them!"

Goddfrey stood in the mirror as he spoke, he claimed he refused to let them "do stuff to me", he plays with his anus. While walking back and forth the floor pretending as if he's wearing ladies high heels. He is propted on his tip toes.

Goddfrey proclaimed he was a heterosexual male, with 2 daughters, a wife he says he didn't marry.

She however claims they married in a traditional ceremony in her parents home. She also said that Goddfrey whom left the priesthood to attend Nairobi University, would accept payments from a "mzungu man" (white man) while in university for dates.

Goddfrey spoke of his years as an alter boy which led him to joining the Catholic Seminary, he wanted to be a priest. He said that he would often annoy the priests because he 'asked too many damned questions!"

His words, he said that had he not left he thinks he would have been asked to leave.

Goddfrey spoke for 35-45 minutes about the 'stuff' priests would do with his friends. He used the word 'stuff' not sex. He was very sexual in his movements.

He said he'd visited a bar in Nairobi which was known as a place that homosexuals frequented. While he spoke and walked he said that he was mocking their movements.

He touched himself several times as he spoke, then he told of a boy he'd met on his way to school.

He claimed the boy was much older than he, as he walked to school the boy asked him to take his pants down. Forcing him into a bank of bushes, again though he said he made his way out by running.

Nearly 1,700 priests and other clergy members that the Roman Catholic Church considers credibly accused of child sexual abuse are living under the radar with little to no oversight from religious authorities or law enforcement, decades after the first wave of the church abuse scandal roiled U.S. dioceses, an Associated Press investigation has found.

Why sexual abuse mostly goes unreported in AfricaExclusive interview with Sister Josée Ngalula, internationally recognized theologian who has spent the past 20 years offering pastoral assistance to sex abuse victims in Africa

According to this report, what are the reasons for refusing to testify? There are 8 main reasons why victims and witnesses of sexual abuse committed in Africa – mainly in rural areas by people in positions of authority – are blocked when it comes to denouncing the abusers. It is important to bring them up in order to find solutions that make it possible for them to testify in peace and security. One of the reasons is that the issue of virginity brings about a fear of speaking out.Indeed, from a cultural point of view, the virginity of a young girl is still a sacred value, especially in rural areas. Therefore, a girl from a strict Christian or religious family who loses her virginity is stigmatized, and one does not even ask under what circumstances this happened. She is automatically considered "soiled".Because of this, some congregations systematically chase away a nun when they learn that she has lost her virginity. And this brings about a great fear in them: to go and report that one has been a victim of touching or rape is to let society hear that one has lost one's virginity.

Two sons of a priest in Africa – 'All we wanted was your love.'

An insight into the homelessness, rejection and poverty suffered by these two young men who are both among the children of one priest.

The following is an anonymous interview with two young brothers, with whom I have been in contact with for some years. I will refer to the two men by pseudonyms, John and James, for the purposes of this article, out of respect for their privacy.

James and John hail from the Democratic Republic of the Congo, the Pope’s destination next month, from 2 July to 5 July. They are presently in South Africa, banished there by family, owing to their paternity. They were thrown out of the only home they every knew at the tender age of 12. Why? Simply because they are the children of a catholic Priest in the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
