Man had Girlfriend Rape 11-year-old Autistic Son Because he Thought the Boy was Gay

Sean Cole's 11-year-old son was visiting him in Huntsville, Alabama, for Thanksgiving week in 2016. The young autistic boy lived full-time with his mom in Georgia but often seen his dad.

At some point during Thanksgiving week with his son, Cole told detectives that he found his son in a “compromising position” with another boy. He said this upset him and he wanted to “straighten him out" and "teach him a lesson" so the boy did not turn out gay.

He decided the best way to teach his son this lesson was by raping him, a devious act he made his girlfriend, Khadeijah Moore, age 20, complete.

Moore inappropriately touched, sodomized, and raped the child. The couple also forced the boy to perform oral sex acts on Moore.

Mom Drives to Alabama; Files Charges

When the boy returned home to his mother in Georgia, he asked her questions about sex which made her suspect something happened while he was with his father. The mother began asking questions and eventually, the young boy told her what happened to him. The mother and her child immediately drove to Alabama to report the crime.

Moore and Cole were arrested in January 2017. Cole and Moore were both found guilty of rape, sodomy, and other charges. Cole faced life in prison for the crime.

Moore was released on bail and did not show up for her May sentencing. She was considered a fugitive from justice for a short time. At her court hearing, Khadeijah Lydonna Moore was sentenced to a term of 30 years in prison. She currently spends her days at the Tutwiler Annex.

Sean Cole was sentenced to 35-years in prison for the crime against his son. He currently serves his time at Limestone Correctional Institute.

Moore Acted on Direction of Cole

Attorneys for Moore argued that she sexually assaulted the boy at the direction of Cole and for no other reason. She said that she was afraid of Cole. Her attorneys did say that did not make it right but requested lenient sentencing. Cole had several prior domestic violence charges, although it is unclear if he was convicted of any of them.

Unless that man had a gun to her head, the lawyers can save that bullshit.

Boy Had No Interest in Boys

Prosecutors revealed in court that the boy was not gay nor had any sexual interest in boys.

Maybe the information helps prosecutors during a trial, but in my opinion, his sexual orientation is irrelevant in a case involving a crime committed against him. It is irrelevant in general. If he is gay, then he’s gay; let the boy live. At best, be mad or angry if you absolutely must, but why hurt your child in such a grave manner?

Boy “Does Not Understand”

Psychologists said that two years later, the boy had trouble processing what had happened to him. He thought that he had done something wrong to warrant this horrific act.

When interviewed by a forensic interviewer in 2018 at the age of 13, he told him: “I was thinking why is my dad doing this to me. Dad said to tell no one... I told you.”

I hope in the time since this horrific act occurred that the young man has been able to heal as much as possible from this incident. Thank goodness he had a mother who acted quickly and didn't play that crap like so many parents we discuss on the page!
