Lies Terror and Redemption

2005 The start of Jasmine’s Rain of Terror.

Jasmine was just 15 at the time she knew she had to make a way. Jasmine grew up in one of the poorest parts of New York city. Even though her mother was a nurse they were still poor because Jasmine's father was stealing all the money so That left very little for them. His excuse was that he was paying the bills but you and I both know he wasn't. Jasmine already knew how to get the things she wanted Just by selling snacks at school but she wanted more. Follow us into the life that Jasmine had to partake in thought stealing, sell drugs, and more.

Stealing

“Just hurry up, grab it,'' said Trayvon. “What if I get caught”, said Jasmine. “It's too late, we're already here”. “Ok,'' replied Jasmine as she put the money and jewelry into her bag and ran out of the house. “It was that easy,” said Trayvon. Jasmine's face was still in shock from what she just did. She had mixed emotions. She felt scared yet excited but little did she know this would be the first of her many Illegal acts.

Trayvon and Jasmine both ran to the local pawn shop To sell the jewelry and count the cash that they had stolen. Trayvon went in and found out that most of the jewelry was fake. The man at the pawn shop offered a hundred dollars for all the jewelry. Coming out of the pawn shop Jasmine and Trayvon were both furious “all that hard work for this” said Jasmine. “Hurry, just count the money,'' said Trayvon. “What” said Jasmine. “What is it?”said Trayvon. “It's Just $60 in cash”,said Jasmine. They were so foolish about how much it looked like they didn't realize that it was mostly one dollar bills and some five dollar bills. Jasmine felt sick “what if it was from a grandma or a single mother” said Jasmine. “Calm down” said,Trayvon If it was a single mother or someone's grandma why was all that stuff there I know I seen at least 3 huge flat screen tv’s in the back you seen the place it was like a palace but in the middle of the projects so they won't notice a few fake pieces missing”.

As Jasmine was entering her apartment building she could hear the arguing of her parents from the hallay. “There they go again,” said Jasmine knowing this is one of many fights they would have on the regular. It was always about money but her father always made her mother think that he was doing right paying bills and such. Jasmine just ran up to her room and closed the door trying to block out her parents' fight. She laid down on the bed thinking of what her and Trayvon did that day.

She thought to herself of how she and Trayvon first met . It was at school, Jasmine was in detention for selling at school with multiple warnings. Trayvon was there smoking in the school restroom. They started talking and he mentioned how to start making more money from stealing. He told her he made just 1 thousand in just one week, which is more than she even made in two months. She told him that she would consider it. But here she was after her after her first time stealing with just $30 after the split the money. She knew that it was mostly fluff but she still entertained the idea.

The next morning she woke up to a troubling phone call. Jasmine can you come to the nypd department for questioning” Click! The phone then hangs up. She looks shocked and tries to think of what to say when she gets there.”Omg” ! ! said jasmine what if I go to jail for 60 dollars! You know what “let me call Trayvon, '' said jasmine. No answer. What if he’s down there what if he is in jail what if he told on me because I was the one to grab it ?
