Lucy Letby : “ yes”

Officer : “ OKay, so tell me about that...what concerns did you have?”

Lucy Letby : “ I think we don’t just notice the previous year”

She stalked her victims grieving parents on Facebook .killed 7 babies in 12 months before hospital took act.

A British neonatal nurse has been found guilty of murdering seven babies and attempting to kill six more.

Lucy Letby the worst Child serial killer in modern British history.

Letby was in her mid-20s when she preyed on highly vulnerable babies between June 2015 and June 2016

Letby is expected to become only the third woman alive in the UK to be handed a whole life term

Lucy Letby was a nurse in the neonatal unit at the countess of Chester hospital from 2015

Before 2015 the unite lost only one to three babies a year, in line with studies that said less then two dies for every 1000 premature babies

However, in 2015 the hospital lost three infants in just 14 days and a fourth who deteriorated rapidly without warning.

All the babies had been otherwise stable and well expected to eventually go home with their parents.

Dr. Stephen Brearey, The head pediatric consultant on the neonatal unit said there was no explanation for why they had died so unexpectedly?

Lucy Letby Was the only nurse on duty for each death to the time most colleagues felt she a had just been unlucky.

Dr Brearey Discussed the apparent coincidence with Letby’s supervisor but no changes or inquiries were imitated.

Over the following year, the unexpected infant deaths continued usually at times when the parents were absent.

How did Lucy cie Letby get away for so long?

Despite being present doing all the deaths it was difficult to pin the crime on Letby.

No one saw Letby harm the babies and she appeared adapts at covering her tracks.

Letby victims were selected carefully for their vulnerabilities, that gave her plausible deniability when they died.

However her presence as the only common factor in long string of unexplained deaths finally became too difficult to ignore.

After the deaths of two brothers in a set of triplets on 27 June 2016 Letby Was called And told not to come to work.

The hospital then moved Letby into an administrative role and the unexplained deaths stopped immediately.

How did the UK police crack the case?

It would be almost a year before the Countess of Chester hospital NSH foundation trust contacted the police in May 2017.

Towns of thousands of medical files were prepared for a neonatologist found via the National Crime Agency.

The neonatologist working with the police said after analyzes the most of the infant deaths were not from natural causes.

This established that crimes were ended being committed at the Countess of Chesters neonatal unit.

After analyzing the shift and the rota patterns of all the stuff in the unit investigators closed in on Letby.

She was accused of injecting air into babies bloodstream over dosing them with insulin.

In some cases the nurse was also accused of removing the breathing apparatus or sabotaging their care in other ways.

- Pascale Junes: Senior Crown Prosecutor

“Lucy Letby was entrusted to protect some of the most venerable babies, little did those working alongside her know that there was a murderer in the midst. she did her utmost to conceal her crimes by varying the way in which she repeatedly harmed babies in her care, sought to deceive her colleagues and pass all the harm she caused is nothing more than a worsening of each babies existing vulnerability in her hands ...innocuous substances like air, milk or medication like insulin, word become lethal”

In June 2018 Lucy was officially declared a suspect and arrested for the first time.

On July 4, 2018 she was arrested the morning after she returned to her Chester home after a holiday with her parents in Torquay.

• “I AM EVIL, I DID THIS”

following Lucy’s arrest thousands of pieces of evidence where prepared for her trail.

On searching her house the police found hand written notes that looked like a confession with the phrase “I am evil, I did this”

In court Lucy claimed they were the ramblings of a person in crisis and planted out she had also scribbled “I am innocent”

In total 1,257 confidential medical documents were recovered many related to the babies she had hurt or killed.

Records from Lucy‘s phone showed she had searched online for many parents of the babies she treated.

Police formed found the records of 2,381 relevant Facebook searches on her phone in the year up to June 2016 about 200 a month.

Only and minority of these were for the parents of the 17 babies in this trail, but they had a disturbing patterns.

Letby often searched for several of her victims’ parents within a matter of minutes, seemingly going one-by-one in “a hunt for grief”

Her searches increased on the babies’ death anniversaries and on public holidays like Christmas.

What motivated nurse Lucy to turn to a baby killer?!

The investigators have not been able to arrive as any conclusive motive that would have driven Lucy to kill so many babies.

The prosecution has raised the possibility that Lucy may have attacked babies to get attention from a married male doctor.

Media reports say Lucy broke down in court when this Doctor Who she “loved as a friend” (maybe) was introduced as a witness.

Lucy told the court that she believed consultants were beaning the blame on her to cover up the hospital failings.

Lucy told jurors she wanted to look after the most seriously ill Babies as she was a band five nurse.

This also raises the probability that Lucy was making babies ill to get attention or likes to make herself important.

When questioned by the police Lucy blamed the deaths of her victims to the combination of poor stuffing and also the incompetence of others.

Police now are looking into Lucy‘s entire career and think they may uncover more victims.

As per reports, more families have been told that their children could be victims of one of Britain’s most prolific...modern-day serial killers.
