In a twist of unfortunate events, a resident of Greater Kailash-II in Delhi found himself in a distressing situation one Friday night. Amit Prakash, a 30-year-old individual, had an unforgettable encounter involving alcohol, robbery, and a series of misfortunes. As per the Times of India (TOI) report, Amit, who works at a company on Gurugram's Golf Course Road, confessed that he was heavily intoxicated when the incident took place. It was only the next day that he discovered the magnitude of his losses, leading him to approach the Sector 65 police station in Gurugram to report the incident.

According to the TOI account, Amit Prakash decided to enjoy a drink inside his car, seeking solace in the comfort of his vehicle. However, his tranquility was abruptly interrupted when an unknown individual unexpectedly joined him. This stranger requested Amit to step out of the car at Subhash Chowk in Delhi. Little did Amit know that this seemingly innocuous act would lead to a heart-wrenching turn of events. Swiftly and shockingly, the stranger seized the opportunity and drove away in Amit's car, leaving him stranded at Subhash Chowk. Faced with an unfortunate predicament, Amit had no choice but to resort to alternative transportation, opting to take the Metro to make his way back home. The incident caught the attention of Twitter users, who found a hint of amusement in the situation and shared lighthearted comments. One Twitter user humorously remarked, "Can't really blame him for not wanting to drive back from Gurgaon!" Another chimed in, saying, "Sounds like a scene straight out of a Kader Khan/Govinda comedy film."

After Amit Prakash lodged a complaint with the police, they promptly registered a case under Section 379 (theft) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) against the unidentified perpetrator. In his complaint, Amit explained that after leaving his workplace, he made a stop at the BYOB kiosk in Lakeforest Wine Shop on Golf Course Road. In his intoxicated state, he astonishingly paid ₹20,000 for a bottle of wine that had an MRP of ₹2,000. To his surprise, the shop owner handed back ₹18,000 in cash as change. Amit then returned to his car and resumed his solitary drinking session. It was during this time that the stranger approached him, expressing an interest in joining him for a few drinks. Amit, in a generous gesture, welcomed the stranger and offered him a drink. Together, they embarked on a short journey to Subhash Chowk, where, in a peculiar turn of events, Amit momentarily forgot that he was still in his own vehicle. Consequently, when the stranger asked him to step out of the car, Amit unsuspectingly complied. Without wasting any time, the stranger swiftly vanished into the night, leaving Amit bewildered and carless. Determined to find his way home, Amit hailed an autorickshaw and made his way to the Huda City Centre Metro station, where he boarded a train to reach his destination. Sadly, due to the influence of alcohol and the shock of the situation, Amit was unable to provide a detailed description of the stranger, leading the police to rely on CCTV footage in their quest to identify the culprit.

Amit Prakash's harrowing experience serves as a stark reminder of the unpredictable nature of life. It highlights the importance of being cautious and aware, especially when under the influence of alcohol. The incident also sheds light on the significance of taking necessary security measures to safeguard personal belongings and assets. As Amit's story garnered attention and generated discussions on social media, it stands as a cautionary tale, reminding individuals to stay vigilant and avoid placing themselves in vulnerable situations.
