The tension of this case was growing among the police and administration. A similar incident in 1998 came across their case files, a headless dead body was found in front of Tihar Jail.

In that case, a suspect was brought in for investigation but was later released due to lack of evidence. This case investigation went on for 3 years. Dead End!

It was as if the current investigation was going on the same route. It was such until a piece of information came from Azad Nagar. With the sketch of the killer circulated among local spies employed by the police, one tip arrived stating a person with the same appearance would visit a doctor's clinic regularly.

The police team very next day reached the doctor's clinic. After a brief exchange with the doctor, it was known that the suspect's name was Chandrakant Jha. Chandrakant had 5 daughters. His daughters were delivered in the same clinic and he visited the doctor regularly. Adding more to the investigation, the doctor stated Chandrakant had been trying to be close to his brother-in-law for a while, and at times jokingly said that he was trying to kill him.

Upon inquiring with the brother-in-law, the police managed to get details of what Chandrakant did for a living. He was a motor cart vegetable seller. Based on the details of his motorcart, the police got to Chandrakant's house and it was within a matter of hours, the suspect was handcuffed and kept in police custody.

In custody, he admitted he was the culprit behind all the murders, and there it was" This was the serial killer Chandrakant Jha.", the self-righteous murderer, who cut his victims and scattered their body parts all over the place.

"The 2006 and 2007 headless dead bodies deliveries one after one, and the taunting over phone calls led to the capture of Chandrakant."

Now, the answer to the police's questions and mysteries was sitting in the chair in-front-of them. He did not have a pinch of fear or stress on his face. Chandrakant was ready to tell everything only if the police did not threaten or beat him.

He began with his name- Chandrakant Jha. He used to live in Delhi with his 5 daughters. To take his serial killer mission seriously, he shifted to Haiderpur(stated in his confession).

According to the Indian Institute of Public Administration, in 1 year, around 4.42 million people migrate to different cities from Bihar due to unemployment. In cities like Mumbai and Delhi, all these immigrants find jobs. All of them come from different states, but one thing is common with the immigrant workers, they have to go through a lot of discrimination.

Something similar happened with Chandrakant Jha. He came to Delhi and started working as a vegetable vendor. Everything was going smoothly for Chandrakant until one night Chandrakant raised his voice against a local gangster for beating a vendor to a pulp. Upon raising his voice, Chandrakant got thrashed badly, up to the point of getting admitted to the hospital for his injuries.

After recovering, Chandrakant was a different person. Something snapped. To add to the trauma, Chandrakant had a violent incident with the union leader. The scuffle ended in the union leader's hand getting cut and Chandrakant going to jail, where he was mistreated and tortured (according to him). Chandrakant's wife who had nothing to do with this was also arrested.

The unidentified body that was found outside of Tihar jail in 1998 was of the union leader, Pandit. After getting out of jail, Chandrakant made him the first target.
