He was so happy to be with his son that he gave him a hug when he arrived home. He was aware that it may have gone the other way. He might have been killed so they could flee. Joshua and Martha's remains are finally discovered at a Delaware dump. The Sifrits are found guilty after separate trials for the killings. Erika receives a life sentence, while Bj gets 30 years.
